Programming the Remote

The remote can be programmed using several methods:

Code Input Method

This method uses codes from an attached code list.

  1. Turn on the device you wish to control.
  2. Find the corresponding brand code from the code list and write it down.
  3. Press and hold the mode key (e.g., TV) for approximately 3 seconds until the mode light remains on, then release the mode key.
  4. Enter the 4-digit code from the codebook. A valid code will turn off the mode light; an invalid code will cause the mode light to blink three times.
  5. Test the remote to see if most keys function correctly. If not, try another code for the same brand or repeat the steps. You can also try the "Auto code search method" or "One button search method".

Note: The remote will exit programming mode if no button is pressed for 20 seconds.

Auto Code Search Method

This method scans through the database for codes.

  1. Turn on the device you want to control.
  2. Press and hold the mode key (e.g., TV) for about 3 seconds until the mode light remains on, then release it.
  3. Press and release the [CH+] or [CH-] key to search forward or backward.
  4. When the device powers off (or video starts playing), press the [POWER] key to save and exit. You can change search direction with [CH+] or [CH-], or exit by pressing any other key.

One Button Search Method

This method allows programming by pressing a single key and is primarily for TV and Cable/STB codes.

  1. Power on the device you want to control.
  2. Press and release the desired mode key (e.g., TV).
  3. Find your brand number in the list below, then press and hold the corresponding number key until the unit powers off. Release the key once the unit powers off.

Note: After 3 seconds of holding the number key, the mode light will go out, entering search mode for that brand. The mode light will then flash approximately once per second.

  1. Check if other keys work correctly. If not, repeat steps 1-4.

  5. Press keys [MENU] and [4]. The number of mode key flashes indicates the fourth digit.

Note: If the current digit is 0, the mode key will not flash.

Multi-mode Combine Power

This feature allows powering multiple devices on/off with a single [POWER] button press.

  • Enable: Press and hold any mode key (e.g., TV) for 3 seconds until the mode light stays on. Input code "9 9 8 0". Press all desired mode keys (TV, STB, DVD). Press [POWER] to save and exit.
  • Disable: Press and hold any mode key (e.g., TV) for 3 seconds until the mode light stays on. Input code "9 9 8 0". Press [POWER] to save and exit. The mode key will blink twice and turn off.

Advanced Features

Device Mode Lock

Locks the device mode to prevent accidental reprogramming. Device lock must be disabled first to reprogram.

  1. Press and hold the desired mode key (e.g., STB) for 3 seconds until the mode light stays on.
  2. Input code "9 9 8 1". If enabled, the mode light goes out directly. If disabled, the mode light blinks twice.

Channel Punch-through

When enabled, channel keys (0-9, [-], [RECALL], [CC], [SAP], [CH +]/[CH -]) will always send the code for the assigned mode, regardless of the current remote mode. For example, if set for STB mode, pressing a channel key in TV mode will send the STB channel code.

  1. Press and hold the desired mode key (e.g., STB) for 3 seconds until the mode light stays on.
  2. Input code "9 9 8 2". If enabled, the mode light goes out directly. If disabled, the mode light blinks twice.

Volume Punch-through

When enabled, volume keys ([MUTE], [VOL+]/[VOL-]) will always send the code for the assigned mode, regardless of the current remote mode.

  1. Press and hold the desired mode key (e.g., TV) for 3 seconds until the mode light stays on.
  2. Input code "9 9 8 3". If enabled, the mode light goes out directly. If disabled, the mode light blinks twice.

Media Punch-through

When enabled, media keys ([STOP], [RECORD], [<<], [|<<], [PAUSE], [>>|], [>>], [PLAY]) will always send the code for the assigned mode, regardless of the current remote mode.

  1. Press and hold the desired mode key (e.g., DVD) for 3 seconds until the mode light stays on.
  2. Input code "9 9 8 4". If enabled, the mode light goes out directly. If disabled, the mode light blinks twice.

Roku® Punch-through (+ D-Pad)

When enabled, Roku-related keys ([EXIT], [<<], [PLAY], [PAUSE], [>>], [INFO], [HOME], [REPLAY], [NETFLIX], [UP], [DOWN], [LEFT], [RIGHT]/[OK]) will always send the code for the assigned mode.

  1. Press and hold the desired mode key (e.g., STB) for 3 seconds until the mode light stays on.
  2. Input code "9 9 7 0". If enabled, the mode light goes out directly. If disabled, the mode light blinks twice.

Roku Punch-through (NO D-Pad)

  1. Press and hold the desired mode key (e.g., TV) for 3 seconds until the mode light stays on.
  2. Input code "9 9 7 1". If enabled, the mode light goes out directly. If disabled, the mode light blinks twice.

All-Key Punch-through

When enabled, all keys will always send the code for the assigned mode. This has the lowest priority among punch-through types.

  1. Press and hold the desired mode key (e.g., TV) for 3 seconds until the mode light stays on.
  2. Input code "9 9 7 3". If enabled, the mode light goes out directly. If disabled, the mode light blinks twice.

Individual Key Punch-through

Allows individual keys to "punch-through" to a chosen mode. The key will always send the code to the assigned device, regardless of the current remote mode. This has the highest priority.

  • Enable: Press and hold any mode key (e.g., TV) for 3 seconds until the mode light stays on. Input code "9 8". Press the desired key. Press the target mode key (e.g., TV, STB, AUX). The mode light goes out directly.

Learning Function

Allows programming of individual keys using codes from an existing remote.

  1. Press and hold the desired mode key (e.g., TV) for 3 seconds until the mode light stays on.
  2. Press and release the [MENU] key. The mode key blinks slowly, indicating learning mode.
