These terms and conditions govern the use of Samsung Care+ and Samsung Care+ Premium Service Pack, provided by Samsung Malaysia Electronics (SME) Sdn. Bhd. ("Samsung"). By subscribing, customers agree to be bound by these terms, which may be revised periodically.
Service Plan Overview
Samsung Care+ offers an extended warranty for Samsung Consumer Electronics products ("Product").
Samsung Care+ Premium Service Pack includes an extended warranty along with maintenance services for the Product.
Purchase Requirements
- Service Plans are available for selected models purchased from the Samsung Online Store (samsung.com/my) and the Samsung Shop App.
- The transaction is between Samsung SDS Malaysia Sdn Bhd ("SDS") and the customer.
- Service Plans must be purchased concurrently with the Product in the same transaction.
- Each Service Plan must be registered to the specific Product.
- Service Plans are void for Products used for commercial purposes.
Service Plan Inclusions
Extended Warranty
Entitles the customer to an extended warranty period following the expiration of the original manufacturer's warranty. The terms are subject to Samsung's warranty policy (Samsung Warranty Policy). In case of conflict, these terms prevail for reconciliation.
- The extended warranty is non-transferable and can only be claimed by the original purchaser.
- Cancellation is possible only if the Product is approved for return/refund.
- Purchase price for the extended warranty is non-refundable if no claim is made.
Maintenance Services (Samsung Care+ Premium only)
The number of maintenance services depends on the purchased Service Plan duration. Services are categorized for Air Conditioners (Schedule A/C) and other products like Air Dresser, Refrigerator, Washer/Dryer (Schedule B/D).
Examples of Maintenance Services include:
- Health Check
- Filter Cleaning
- Gas Leakage Check (for AC)
- Door Gasket Cleaning (for Refrigerator)
- SmartThings Setup & Monthly Care Report
Customers can schedule appointments via Samsung Hotline or live chat. Technicians will assess the product before service. Subscribing to Samsung Care+ Premium implies agreement with Samsung's Warranty Policy for repair and service.
Miscellaneous Provisions
- Exclusions: Loss, theft, deliberate damage, or damage beyond repair.
- Fees paid are non-refundable, regardless of claims made.
- Service Plans are personal to the customer and product, but may be transferable to a replacement product of the same model.
- All service and repair work must be performed by Samsung Authorised Service Centres.
- Samsung and SDS disclaim liability for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages.
- Samsung and SDS reserve the right to terminate services and take legal action for breaches, fraudulent use, or false information.
- Customer consent is required for data collection for service provision and analytics, governed by the Privacy Policy.
- Samsung and SDS reserve the right to rectify errors in pricing or availability and cancel transactions.
- The Product and Services are provided "as is" and "as available".
- Customer agrees to indemnify Samsung and SDS against claims arising from their use of the services or breach of terms.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.
