The nVent RAYCHEM XL-Trace Edge represents a new standard in commercial pipe freeze protection and grease waste flow maintenance across North America, offering industry-leading performance, specifications, reliability, and value. Building on the trusted Raychem polymer technology developed in the 1980s, the next generation XL-Trace Edge provides enhanced operating temperatures of 154°F (68°C) and exposure temperatures of 185°F (85°C), surpassing competing cables rated at 150°F (65°C). Its longer circuit lengths compared to previous models contribute to a reduced Total Installed Cost (TIC). XL-Trace Edge self-regulating heating cables are available with either a fluoropolymer (-CT) or polyolefin (-CR) outer jacket, suitable for all pipe sizes in both dry and wet environments. They are offered in 3, 5, 8, and 12 Watt/ft power ratings, with 120 V and 208-277 V options. Key benefits include energy efficiency, simplified design and installation, enhanced reliability due to a rugged metal braid, and exceptional mechanical and chemical protection from the fluoropolymer outer jacket against corrosive Fats, Oils, and Greases (FOG) and fuel oils.
