Introduction
This user manual provides detailed information about the TempSpike Plus device, a high-precision thermometer for both professional and home use. The manual covers everything from setup to troubleshooting to make usage as simple as possible.
Functions
The TempSpike Plus consists of a booster unit and wireless probes. The device is designed for accurate temperature measurement in various cooking applications.
Device Components:
- Probe: Inserts into food, measures both internal and ambient temperatures, IP67 waterproof.
- Booster: Receives temperature signals from probes and transmits them to a smart device. Also serves as a charging station for the probes.
- LCD Display: Shows temperature readings and device status.
- S Button: Controls power, pairing, and mode switching.
- Backlight Button: Activates the display backlight.
- USB-C Charging Port: For charging the booster.
- Magnets: For attaching the booster to metallic surfaces.
- Ambient Temperature Sensor: Located on the probe.
- Internal Temperature Sensor: Located within the probe.
Booster Functionality:
- The Booster receives temperature signals from the probes and relays them to your smart device.
- It also acts as a power source to charge the probes.
Probe Functionality:
- The probe can be inserted into meat, simultaneously measuring internal and ambient temperatures. It is IP67 waterproof.
- S Button: A short press turns on the Booster. When the Booster is on, a short press of the S button cycles through displaying the meat's internal temperature, ambient temperature, and automatic switching between the two on the LCD.
- If an alarm sounds from the Booster, it can be silenced by pressing the S button.
- A long press (3 seconds) of the S button initiates pairing of the booster with the probe.
- If probes are not appearing on the display or not connecting to the smart device, remove both probes and hold the S button for 10 seconds to perform a reset.
The device features a durable and waterproof design.

Step 4: Pair Probe with Booster
The probes are pre-paired with the booster via Bluetooth from the factory. After removing a probe, the temperature measured by that probe will appear on the LCD display.
Manual Probe Pairing:
For a new probe or a new booster, follow these steps:
- Remove the probe from the booster.
- Press and hold the S button until the temperature appears on the display. This indicates successful pairing.

- Set the desired temperature, or select the meat type and cooking level within the application.
- When the temperature reaches the target value, an alarm will sound from the application and/or the booster.
Warnings
- The probes contain sensitive electronics. Avoid extreme heat; always insert the probe so that only the handle remains outside.
- Do not use the TempSpike in a microwave oven.
- The range between the booster and probe can be up to 140 meters (460 ft) in open terrain, but can be drastically reduced in enclosed spaces (up to 4 meters/14 ft). Therefore, place the booster as close as possible to the probes.
- It is recommended to use gloves to remove probes after cooking.
- After use, wipe the probes with a paper towel or cloth. They can also be washed in a dishwasher.
- After use, always place them back in the booster for charging and storage.
