1. Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the TempSpike XR Wireless Smart Meat Thermometer! To ensure the best possible product performance, please read this manual in its entirety and retain it for future reference.
2. Components
- 1 x Wireless Smart Meat Thermometer (Base Station/Receiver)
- 2 x Stainless Steel Probes (1 Black, 1 White)
- 1 x USB-C Charging Cable
- 1 x Signal Booster (Optional)
- 1 x User Manual
3. Base Station (Receiver)
The base station features an LCD screen displaying temperatures, battery level, and various icons. It has a tabletop stand and a magnetic back for mounting.
3.1 Features:
- LCD Screen to display all icons and temperatures.
- Backlight.
- Monitors internal temperature of two meats and ambient temperature simultaneously.
- Internal and ambient temperature alarms.
- Internal temperature range: 14°F to 212°F (-10°C to 100°C).
- Ambient temperature range: 14°F to 572°F (-10°C to 300°C).
- Battery level indicator.
- Tabletop stand and magnetic back design.
- Power: Built-in lithium rechargeable battery. Can be charged via USB Type-C.
3.2 Buttons:
- RESYNC Button: Press once to turn on/off the device. Press and hold to resync a new probe.
- ▶ Button: Increases target temperature value in PROG or Ambient Temperature Setting Mode. Hold for faster increase.
- MEAT Button: Cycles through meat types (BEEF, VEAL, CHICKEN, PORK, POULTRY, LAMB, FISH, HAM, GBEEF, GPOUL) and PROG (Program-User Defined Temperature).
- PROBE ⚠ Button: Rotates between PROBE BLACK and PROBE WHITE. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn the internal temperature alarm on/off (indicated by ⚠ icon).
- AMBIENT ⚠ Button: Sets HIGH and LOW ambient temperatures. Press and hold for 3 seconds to turn the ambient temperature alarm on/off (indicated by ⚠ icon).
- TASTE Button: Selects meat doneness level (RARE, MED RARE, MEDIUM, MEDIUM WELL, WELL DONE).
- ◀ Button: Decreases target temperature value in PROG or Ambient Temperature Setting Mode. Hold for faster decrease.
- ⌂ Button: Turns backlight on/off. Press and hold for 3 seconds to switch between °F or °C. Backlight turns off automatically after 10 seconds of inactivity.
- RESET Button: Located on the back. Press and hold for over 3 seconds to restart the device if any malfunction occurs.
Note: Ensure probes are inserted deeply into the meat, with only the handle visible.
3.3 How to Charge the Base Station and Probes
- Connect the USB charging cable to a USB charger to charge the base station. The battery level indicator will scroll during charging and stop when full.
- The base station also charges the probes. Place probes into the probe storage holes on the base station. A "BI" sound will indicate charging. Probes charge automatically, and data is cleared. Probe battery indicators scroll during charging and stop when full.
- The base station automatically turns off five minutes after probes are placed in storage holes.
3.4 How to Pair the Probe with the Base Station
The base station and probes are pre-paired. If re-pairing is needed:
- Press RESYNC button to turn on the base station.
- Remove the probe from the base station.
- Press and hold the ▶ button for 3 seconds. The probe's temperature will appear on the display, indicating successful pairing.
Note: One receiver can only pair with one black and one white probe.
3.5 How to Turn on/off the Sound of Button
Button sound is off by default. Press and hold the ▶ and ◀ buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to toggle button sound on/off.
4. Signal Booster (Optional)
The signal booster extends the remote range between the receiver and probes.
4.1 Features:
- Extends range from 1,000ft (300M) to 2,000ft (610M) maximum without obstructions.
- Syncs automatically with receiver and probe upon power-on.
- ▶ Button: Press to turn on, hold for 3 seconds to turn off. Auto-off after 40 minutes if probes are in the transmitter and the transmitter is off.
- Signal Indicator: Flashes green every 4 seconds when probe signal is received; flashes red when no signal is received.
- Power Indicator: Flashes red for low battery, solid red while charging, solid green when fully charged.
- RESET Button: Restarts the device if malfunction occurs.
- Hanging hole and magnetic back design.
- IPX6 Waterproof.
5. Purchasing Additional Signal Booster
The signal booster model is TP860B/C. It can be ordered from Amazon or ThermoPro customer service. It is not recommended to sync more than one booster to a single receiver. However, one signal booster can extend the range for multiple receivers.
5. Caution
- Handle probes with care; they contain delicate electronics. Avoid extremely high heat. Insert probes deeply into meat, leaving only the handle visible.
- Do NOT use probes in a microwave.
- Wear gloves when removing probes from hot meat.
- Clean probes with a kitchen towel or rag after each use. Probes can be rinsed and washed in a dishwasher.
- Store probes in the booster for charging and storage after cleaning.
- Do not immerse the transmitter (base station) in water; wipe with a damp cloth.
- Not intended for use by persons aged 12 and under.
- WARNING FOR ARTIFICIAL CARDIAC PACEMAKER USERS: Magnets in the device may affect pacemaker functionality. Maintain a distance of at least 1 foot (0.3 meter) from the device if you have a pacemaker.
6. FCC Statement of Compliance
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. If interference occurs, try reorienting the receiving antenna, increasing separation between equipment and receiver, or connecting to a different circuit.

8. Disposal of the Electronic Appliance
Do not dispose of this electronic appliance with normal household waste. Dispose of the unit at an approved facility or local recycling center, observing current regulations. Contact your local council if in doubt.
9. Limited One-Year Warranty
ThermoPro warrants this product to be free of defects in parts, materials, and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Contact Customer Service for warranty service instructions.
