LCD Display

The LCD display shows day indicators (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU, X), the current time (Hour, Minute, Second), a PM indicator, and various status indicators for SET, CLOCK, PROGRAM, ON, and OFF modes. It also includes a Summertime Indicator and a Disable Indicator.

Battery Installation

The 1.5V batteries are pre-installed. To activate, remove the ribbon from the battery compartment. The batteries back up the clock and programs when the Timer is unplugged. Battery life is approximately 1 year when not connected to a power outlet. For long periods unplugged, consider removing the batteries.

Operation

The timer cycles through program modes: Clock -> Program 1 ON -> Program 1 OFF -> Program 2 ON -> Program 2 OFF -> ... -> Program 6 ON -> Program 6 OFF -> Clock. The 'PROG' symbol indicates a program is displayed. Use the [Down] or [Up] buttons to scroll through clock and programs. Holding a button for more than 1 second repeats the action. Press both [Up] and [Down] buttons together to return to the Clock display.

Reset Function / Abnormal Display

For abnormal or blank displays, or to clear all programs, push the RESET key with a round object like a ball-point pen. This will clear the clock and all programs. If the display is dim or abnormal, replace the button cell batteries.

Setting the Clock

To set the clock, press the [SET] key while the clock is displayed. The 'SET' indicator will appear, and the day of the week will flash. Use the [Down] or [Up] keys to select the correct day, holding the key to scroll through days. Press [SET] again to flash the Hour. Use [Down] or [Up] to select the hour. Press [SET] to flash the Minutes. Use [Down] or [Up] to select the minutes. Press [SET] to flash the Seconds. Use [Down] or [Up] to set seconds to '00'. Press [SET] to exit clock setting.

Toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour display by briefly pressing the [ON/OFF] and [SET] keys together.

Note: Pressing [ON/OFF] alone disables all programs, showing an 'X' on the screen. Pressing [ON/OFF] again re-enables programs.

Setting the Program

You can set up to 6 On/Off Programs. To set Program 1 ON: Press [Down] or [Up] until 'PROG 1 ON' appears. Press [SET]. The 'SET' indicator will appear, and the Weekday will flash. Press [Up] to select the day(s) for Program 1 (e.g., MO-SU for everyday, MO-FR for weekdays, etc.). Press [SET] when the desired day is shown. The Hour will flash. Use [Down] or [Up] to set the hour. Press [SET]. The Minutes will flash. Use [Down] or [Up] to set the minutes. Press [SET] to finish Program 1-ON. Press [Up] to show 'PROG 1 OFF' and set the off time using the same method.

To set more programs, press [Up] to show 'PROG 2 ON' and repeat the process.

Summer/ Winter Time

Press and hold both [Down] and [Up] keys simultaneously in Clock mode to change to Summertime. The hour advances by one, and a summertime symbol [sun/snowflake symbol] will light up. Pressing and holding the keys again returns to normal time.

Manual On/Off

The timer can be turned on or off at anytime using the [ON/OFF] key without affecting the programs. The flashing 'ON' or 'OFF' indicates that the Manual On/Off function is activated.

Activating the Disable / Master Disable Function

To disable a program, display it, press [SET]. The display will flash. Press [ON/OFF] to disable, showing an 'X' symbol. To disable all programs, press [SET] in Clock display, then press [ON/OFF]. An 'X' symbol will appear on the Clock display, indicating all pre-set programs are disabled. To cancel this function, use the same method to turn off the 'X' symbol.

This timer has a 2-pin polarized receptacle. Use appliances with compatible 2-pin power cords. Ensure correct pin polarization before plugging in. Do not force plugs or power cords. Do not modify 3-pin plugs to fit.
