The Avanti Compact Kitchen includes the following components:
The compact kitchen unit features a cooktop with two burners (one 500W rear burner and one 900W front burner), a sink with a water faucet, and a refrigerator compartment with wire shelves. The unit also includes a cabinet door and leveling legs for stability. Power switch knobs for the burners are located on the front panel, along with indicator lights.
Remove all exterior and interior packing materials. Verify all parts are present: 2 wire shelves, faucet set, strainer, strainer plug, backsplash and assembly screws (for CK30-1 only), 2 refrigerator wire shelves, 1 crisper with glass lid, and the instruction manual.
Before connecting the refrigerator to power, let it stand upright for approximately 2 hours to reduce the possibility of cooling system malfunction due to transportation. Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water and a soft cloth.
Locate the Compact Kitchen in the coolest area of the room, away from heat-producing appliances and direct sunlight.
When installing, ensure a clearance of 10 inches (A) is available to remove the crisper and/or shelves from the refrigerator. When built-in, no side clearance is required. A minimum clearance of 30 inches (B) is required between the top of the cooking surface and the bottom of an unprotected wood or metal cabinet.
Place the Compact Kitchen on a floor strong enough to support it when fully loaded. Adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of the refrigerator to ensure it is level for proper water drainage and door functioning.
Avoid locating the unit in moist areas or near direct sunlight and heat sources, as this may affect the acrylic coating, increase electrical consumption, or cause improper performance in extreme cold.
Do not cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. Direct all power and grounding questions to a certified electrician or an authorized Avanti Products service center.
After connecting to power, allow the refrigerator to cool for 2-3 hours before placing items inside.
The appliance must be installed and grounded by a qualified technician in accordance with the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA No. 70 (Latest Edition) and local electrical code requirements. The appliance is designed for permanent conduit connection.
This appliance requires a standard 115/120 Volt AC ~/60Hz electrical power, connected to an individual properly grounded branch circuit, protected by a 15 amp circuit breaker or time delay fuse.
The unit should be properly grounded for safety. The range and refrigerator power cords are equipped with a grounded plug connected to the grounded permanent wiring system.
Do not cut or remove the third ground lead from the AC supply. Consult a certified electrician or an authorized Avanti Products service center for questions.
Remove house fuse or open circuit breaker before installation.
Do not attempt to repair or replace any part unless specifically recommended in this manual. Refer all other servicing to a qualified technician.
To minimize electric shock, disconnect the appliance from the A/C power supply before any maintenance.
Do not use extension cords for the connections of the range and refrigerator.
Prepare wiring according to National Electrical Code and/or local codes and ordinances by a qualified electrician. Remove the junction box cover and the 7/8 inch knockout for conduit connection. Secure conduit to the junction box with a conduit connector. Locate the two wires (white and black) of the unit with stripped ends. Use wire nuts to connect incoming white to white and black to black. Connect the incoming ground wire directly to the ground screw of the junction box. Replace the junction box cover, ensuring wires are not pinched.
Electrical connection diagram description: A junction box with a removable cover. Inside, wires are connected using wire nuts. A conduit connector secures the conduit to the box. Incoming white wire connects to unit's white wire, incoming black to unit's black, and incoming ground wire to the ground screw. The diagram shows the wiring for both burners and refrigerator outlets within the junction box.
Install the backsplash to the kitchen cabinet. The backsplash (panel trasero) is positioned at the rear of the unit (parte trasera de la unidad).
Turn off the water supply. Install the water faucet as shown in diagrams. Connect cold and hot water supply hoses (not included) to the faucet. Do not stretch hoses; replace with longer, high-pressure hoses if needed.
Water faucet assembly includes: Water Faucets (Llaves de Agua), Gasket (Junta), Nuts (Tuercas), and Water Hoses (not included).
Connection to the water sink must be performed by a professional licensed plumber and comply with all Local Codes and Ordinances.
The sink strainer is preassembled. Secure the water drain system to the sink strainer.
Sink strainer diagram shows the strainer (drenaje) in the sink, with a pipe leading down. A "not included" label indicates the drain pipe is not part of the standard package.
Disconnect the power supply to prevent electrical shock or personal injury. Connect the Refrigerator power supply cord to the receptacle in the junction box located at the back of the kitchen cabinet under the countertop. Slide the refrigerator into the kitchen cabinet by slightly lifting its rear part, ensuring the power supply cord is not kinked or damaged. Secure refrigerator leveling legs in place using the bottom bracket notches.
Diagram shows the compact kitchen unit with an external refrigerator being slid into its designated compartment. A junction box is visible under the countertop. The bottom bracket has two notches to secure the refrigerator in place.
Diagram shows a side tray attachment to the compact kitchen unit, extending from the side of the main cabinet.
The refrigerator is supplied with a separate instruction manual for detailed operating instructions.
The compact kitchen has two burners (500W and 900W power input). To operate, push in and turn the knob to the desired position. Controls range from low to high power output with multiple positions. An indicator light on the front panel illuminates when burners are in operation, regardless of the setting.
Burner control diagram shows two rotary knobs, each with an "OFF" position and a range from "M-" (minimum) to "H" (high) power settings. An indicator light is associated with each burner.
The appliance has a junction box under the countertop with two outlets: one for burners and one for the refrigerator. After installation by a qualified electrician, ensure both burners and refrigerator are properly connected to the box.
Junction box diagram shows two outlets labeled "BURNERS" and "FRIDGE" within a box, indicating electrical connections.
Disconnect A/C power from the main power box or circuit breaker. Turn off the Compact Kitchen and ensure all surface units are off and cool before cleaning. Remove all items, including shelves and racks.
Wash inside surfaces with a warm water and baking soda solution (2 tablespoons baking soda to a quart of water). Wash shelves and racks with mild detergent solution. Clean the outside of the Compact Kitchen with mild detergent and warm water. Wring excess water from sponge/cloth when cleaning controls or electrical parts. Rinse and wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth.
Disconnect A/C power and ensure burners are off and cool before removing them. To remove burners and reflector bowls: lift the edge of the burners opposite the receptacle and gently pull them out. Once burners are removed, reflector bowls can be lifted out.
Clean burners and reflector bowls with mild detergent and warm water. Wring excess water from sponge/cloth when cleaning. To replace: line up the opening of the reflector bowls with the burner receptacle, hold burners level with terminals positioned into the receptacle, then push terminals in. Once terminals are fully pushed in, push down the edge of burners opposite the receptacle.
Most power failures are corrected within a few hours and should not affect refrigerator temperature if door openings are minimized. For longer power outages, take steps to protect contents. Turn off all burners during power failures.
For short vacations (less than three weeks), leave the refrigerator operating. For long vacations (several months), remove all items, turn off power, clean and dry the interior thoroughly. To prevent odor and mold growth, leave the door open slightly, blocking it if necessary.
Have a qualified electrician disconnect power and shut off water supply. Use a qualified plumber to disconnect water supply and drain connections. Remove all items from the storage compartment. Unplug and remove the refrigerator separately. Securely tape down all loose items (shelves and basket) inside the Compact Kitchen and Refrigerator compartments. Turn adjustable feet up to the base to avoid damage. Tape the door shut. Ensure the Compact Kitchen and Refrigerator remain secure and upright during transportation. Protect the exterior with a blanket or similar item.
