Guide Number: 97341
Revision: 20220209
Introduction and Vehicle Compatibility
This document serves as an addendum to the installation guide for the Fortin EVO ONE and THAR-FOR2 modules. It provides specific wiring configuration and programming procedures for the Ford Transit vehicle, model years 2020-2022, specifically for vehicles without keyless entry.
Module Information
Firmware Version
The bypass firmware version for this configuration is 71.[52] (Ford Minimum).
Firmware Updates and Tools
To update the firmware version and select options, use the Flash Link Updater or Flash Link Mobile tool, sold separately. These tools connect to a computer or smartphone with internet access.

The hood pin switch (included) is a mandatory component. It is essential for monitoring the hood status, particularly for remote start functionality. If the vehicle is equipped with a functional hood pin and the remote start function is intended to operate when the hood is open, Function A11 should be set to OFF (NON).
Security Sticker
A security sticker (included) is also mandatory and must be installed as part of the safety requirements.
Parts Required (Not Included)
- 2x Vehicle keys for programming
- 2x Diode 1Amp
- 1x Relay

Wiring Diagrams and Connections
This section details the wiring connections for the EVO ONE module and the THAR-FOR2 T-Harness. Installation must be performed by a qualified technician to avoid permanent damage to the vehicle.
Wire-to-Wire Diagram (Page 3)
This diagram illustrates the direct wire connections between the EVO ONE module and the vehicle's wiring harness. The EVO ONE module has multiple connectors (labeled A, E, etc.) with specific pin assignments.
- Module Connector A (Pins A1-A20): Includes connections for (+) KEY SENSE, HOOD PIN, IMMO DATA, DOOR SIDE, BCM SIDE, and other vehicle signals. For example, A1 is for (+) KEY SENSE (Yellow wire), A2 is for HOOD PIN (Purple wire output), A11 is for HOOD PIN (Black wire input), A10 is for IMMO DATA (Lt. Blue/Black wire).
- Module Connector E (Pins E1-E6): Includes power and ignition connections: E1 (+) ACCESSORY (White wire), E2 (+)12V (Orange wire), E3 (-) Ground (Red wire), E4 (+) Ignition (Black wire), E5 (+) Starter (Pink wire), E6 (Yellow wire).
- CAN Bus Connections: C1-C5 provide connections for CAN 1 HIGH/LOW and CAN 2 HIGH/LOW, typically Gray/Black, Gray, Orange/Brown, and Orange/Green wires.
- Diodes and Relay: The diagram specifies the use of 1Amp diodes and a relay for certain connections.
- Visual Description: The diagram shows the EVO ONE module with its connectors and the corresponding wire colors and pin numbers. It details how these wires connect to specific points in the vehicle's electrical system, including the ignition switch, OBD-II port, and other control modules.
THarness Diagram (Page 4)
The THAR-FOR2 T-Harness simplifies installation by providing pre-made connectors that plug directly into the vehicle's factory harness, reducing the need for extensive wire splicing.
- The T-Harness connects the EVO ONE module to specific vehicle connectors, including those found at the ignition barrel and behind the OBD-II port.
- Visual Description: This diagram shows the T-Harness components and how they integrate with the EVO ONE module and the vehicle's existing wiring, offering a cleaner and faster installation.
Connection Locations
- Ignition Switch: Located on the steering column. The diagram points to a black 7-pin connector.
- OBD-II Connector: Found behind the steering column on the left side. The diagram indicates a 24-pin black connector.
- Ignition Barrel: The transponder connector is a 4-pin black connector located at the ignition barrel.
Important Notes
- Automatic Transmission Mode: A loop is indicated to be cut for vehicles with automatic transmission.
- Hood Pin Status: The HOOD PIN (A11) function is critical for remote start safety.
DCRYPTOR Programming Procedure (Pages 5-8)
This procedure outlines how to program the key bypass module using the DCRYPTOR technology and required tools.
Required Tools
- Flash Link Updater or Flash Link Mobile
- Flash Link Manager software (for PC) or Flash Link Mobile App (for Smartphone)
- Computer or Smartphone with Internet connection
Programming Steps:
- Initiate Programming: Press and hold the programming button on the EVO ONE module.
- Connect Main Harness: Connect the 6-pin Main Connector. The module's LEDs will alternate colors (Blue, Red, Yellow, Blue/Red).
- Connect Data-Link Harness: Connect the 4-pin Data-Link harness (black connector).
- Release Button: Release the programming button when the LEDs turn RED and BLUE. If LEDs are not solid BLUE and RED, disconnect and return to step 1.
- Connect Remaining Connectors: Insert any other required connectors.
- Button Presses: Press and release the programming button eight (8x) times. The RED and BLUE LEDs will flash seven times with a pause.
- Wait for Confirmation: Wait for the RED and BLUE LEDs to turn ON solid.
