Overview of Supported Vehicle Functions
The EVO-ONE module supports the following functions when properly installed and configured:
- Immobilizer bypass
- T-Harness integration
- Vehicle Lock/Unlock
- Arm/Disarm
- Tachometer signal
- Door Status monitoring
- Hood Status monitoring
- Hand-Brake Status monitoring
- Foot-Brake Status monitoring
- OEM Remote monitoring
Module Compatibility and Firmware
Module Compatibility: Requires a module manufactured after 2019 (check QR Code on label).
Minimum Firmware Version: 68.[06]
To update the firmware version and configure options, use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool (sold separately).
Important Notes
The vehicle's original OEM remote lock/unlock and proximity remote functions will remain operational while the engine is running.

Mandatory Installation Requirements
Hood Pin Switch: ?️ The hood pin switch (included) must be installed. If the vehicle can be remote started with the hood open, set Function A11 to OFF/NON.
Security Sticker: ?️ The security sticker is an essential safety element and must be installed.
⚠️ Warning: This module must be installed by a qualified technician. Incorrect wiring connections can cause permanent damage to the vehicle.
Unit Options Configuration
The following unit options can be programmed:
- C1: OEM Remote status (Lock/Unlock) monitoring
- D6: Push-to-Start
- A11: Hood trigger (Output Status)
Wiring Diagrams and Connections
This section details the wiring connections for the Fortin EVO-ONE module using the THAR-CHR7 and THAR-CHR6 harnesses for the RAM ProMaster vehicle.
Main Module (EVO-ONE) Connections:
- Power: (+)12V (Red wire), (-)Ground (Black wire)
- Ignition Output: (+)IGNITION OUTPUT (Purple/Yellow wire)
- Data Links: CAN 1 HIGH (Gray wire), CAN 1 LOW (Brown/Black wire), CAN 2 HIGH (Orange/Green wire), CAN 2 LOW (Orange/Brown wire).
- Data Wires: D6 (White/Red), D5 (White/Blue), D4 (White/Green), D3 (Yellow/Red), D2 (Yellow/Blue), D1 (Yellow/Green).
- Start/Stop Signal: (+)START/STOP SIGNAL (Red/Lt.Green wire)
- Hood Pin Input: (-)Hood (Pink/Black wire)
- T-Harness Connections: Lt.Blue/Black (A10), Lt.Blue (A20)
Vehicle Interface Connectors:
- OBDII Connector: 16-pin white connector (Front View).
- Push-to-Start Button Connector: 6-pin black connector (Back View).
- Dash Fuse Box Connector: 60-pin green connector (Back View).
Wiring Notes:
- For Automatic Transmission Mode, cut the loop as indicated.
- Protect the main connector with electrical tape to prevent short circuits to ground.
- For THAR-CHR6: Connect the Yellow/Red (D3) and Yellow/Green (D1) wires together.
DCRYPTOR Programming Procedure
This procedure outlines how to program the module using the DCRYPTOR system, which requires the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool.
Required Tools: FLASH LINK UPDATER, FLASH LINK MANAGER (Software), or FLASH LINK MOBILE (App/Smartphone).
Programming Steps:
- Preparation: Connect the 6-Pin Main connector and the 4-PIN Data-link harness (Black connector).
- Initiate Programming: Press and hold the programming button. The LEDs will alternate between Blue, Red, Yellow, and Blue/Red flashes.
- Release Button: Release the programming button when the Blue LED is solid ON.
- Connect Remaining: Insert the required remaining connectors.
- Ignition ON: Press the Push-to-Start button once to turn the ignition ON.
- Program Button Press: Press and release the programming button once (1x). The Blue LED will turn off.
- Wait: Wait for the Blue LED to flash rapidly.
- Key Bypass Procedure (Steps 6 & 7): Follow specific instructions based on LED indications (Red/Yellow alternation or Red ON) to complete the key bypass. This involves further ignition ON/OFF cycles and button presses.
- Disconnect: Disconnect all connectors (6-Pin Main and 4-Pin Data-link, and others).
- Finalize with Tool: Use the FLASH LINK UPDATER or FLASH LINK MOBILE tool to visit the DCryptor menu and complete programming.
- Reconnect: After DCryptor programming is completed, reconnect the 6-Pin (Main-Harness), 4-pins (Data-Link), and all other remaining connectors.
Verification: Test the remote starter by initiating a remote start sequence.
Remote Starter Functionality
To start the vehicle remotely:
- Ensure all vehicle doors are closed.
- Initiate remote start using either the vehicle's OEM remote or the remote-starter remote.
- Unlock the doors.
- Enter the vehicle with the Intelligent SmartKey on your person.
- The vehicle is now ready to be put into gear and driven.
