Before Riding
⚠️ WARNING Any Switch that does not work properly can cause you to lose control and fall. Do not ride a Switch with a part that is damaged; replace the damaged part before riding.
It is important to fully understand all elements of your Switch. Incorrect use can lead to loss of control. Learn the functions of the various mechanisms before riding.
Practice using the Switch at slower speeds in a flat, open area before riding in public areas.
Pre-Ride Checklist
- Ensure your Switch is in proper working order each time you ride. If a part does not function correctly, contact Customer Support.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged before riding.
- If the Switch is not used for an extended period, recharge the battery every 2 months to maintain battery life.
- Wear appropriate safety and protective gear.
- Wear comfortable clothes and flat closed-toe shoes.
- Carefully read the Operation Manual for working principles and tips.
Safety Precautions
The first rule in safe riding is to use common sense. Be aware of and comply with local laws governing riding on public roads.
- Always wear a helmet that meets CPSC or CE safety standards.
- Obey all local traffic laws (red/green lights, stop signs, etc.).
- Ride with the traffic, not against it.
- Ride defensively; expect the unexpected.
- Give pedestrians the right-of-way.
- Do not ride too close to pedestrians; alert them if you intend to pass.
- Slow down at intersections and look both ways before crossing.
Your Switch is not equipped with reflectors. Riding in low visibility conditions is not recommended.
If riding in low-visibility conditions (fog, dusk, night), wear bright, reflective clothing.
⚠️ WARNING When you ride in low-visibility conditions, you might be difficult to see, which could lead to a collision. Wear bright, reflective clothing in poor lighting conditions.
Safety Checklist
- Do not ride above your skill level. Ensure you have practiced with all functions.
- Do not ride too fast; increased speed comes with increased risk.
- Do not ride with pets.
- Before stepping on, ensure the Switch is on a flat, level surface with power on.

- If riding with friends, maintain a safe distance to prevent collisions.
- Keep your feet on the scooter at all times.
- Do not operate under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.
- Do not operate when restless or sleepy.
- Use your best judgment to avoid dangerous situations.
- Do not ride off curbs, ramps, or in skate parks, empty pools, or similar areas. Misuse voids the warranty and may lead to injury or damage.
- Do not abuse your Switch; this can damage the unit and cause system failure. Physical abuse, including dropping, voids the warranty.
- Do not operate in or near puddles of water, mud, sand, stones, gravel, debris, or rough terrain.
- The Switch is intended for paved, flat, and even surfaces. Lift over uneven pavement.
- Do not ride in inclement weather (snow, rain, hail, ice) or extreme heat or cold.
- Bend your knees on bumpy or uneven pavement to absorb shock and vibration.
- If unsure about terrain safety, step off and carry your Switch. ALWAYS BE ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION.
- Do not attempt to ride over bumps or objects greater than 1/2 inch.
- PAY ATTENTION to your surroundings, road conditions, people, property, and objects.

Riding Your Switch
FAILURE TO FOLLOW ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SAFETY PRECAUTIONS CAN AND MAY LEAD TO DAMAGE TO YOUR SWITCH, VOID YOUR MANUFACTURER WARRANTY, LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE, CAUSE SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, AND CAN LEAD TO DEATH.
Operating Your Switch
- Ensure the Switch is fully charged before first use.
- Before turning on, ride it like a normal kick scooter or skateboard to get comfortable.
- When comfortable, power it on. For the motor to activate, start riding and then push the throttle down.
- To slow down, push the electric brake down. This will stop the motor and slow you down.
- The Switch is equipped with a built-in 90 Watt Brushless Motor for acceleration (up to 9 mph) and deceleration.
- To turn, use the handlebars or lean gently in the direction you wish to turn.
- The Switch can be operated manually if you do not wish to use the motor.
- As you get comfortable, maneuvering becomes easier. At higher speeds, shift your weight to overcome centrifugal force.
- Bend your knees if you encounter bumps or uneven surfaces, then dismount and carry your Switch to a safe operating surface.
⚠️ WARNING Do not turn sharply or at high speeds to avoid danger. Do not turn or ride quickly along slopes, as it may cause injury.
Weight and Speed Limitations
- Maximum Weight: 132 lbs
- Minimum Weight: 44 lbs
- Maximum Speed: Up to 9 mph (used as an e-scooter)
⚠️ WARNING Overweight exertion on the Switch may increase the possibility of injury or product damage.
Operating Range
The Switch can travel up to 6 miles on a fully charged battery in ideal conditions. Factors affecting range include:
- Terrain: Riding distance is highest on smooth, flat surfaces. Uphill or rough terrain reduces distance.
- Weight: Lighter users have further range than heavier users.
- Ambient temperature: Ride and store under recommended temperatures for increased distance, battery life, and performance.
- Speed and Riding Style: Moderate, consistent speed maximizes distance. High speeds, frequent starts/stops, idling, and frequent acceleration/deceleration decrease distance.
Safety Alerts
If a system error or illegal operation occurs, the Switch will prompt the user. These alerts should not be ignored.
- Prohibited riding surfaces (uneven, too steep, unsafe, etc.)
- Battery voltage is too low.
- The Switch is still charging.
- Overheating, or motor temperature is too high.
- If the system enters protection mode, the alarm indicator will light up (typically when battery is low).
- If the motor is blocked, the Switch will stop after 3 seconds.
- When battery level depletes below protection mode, the motor will power off after 15 seconds.
- Sustaining high discharge current (e.g., steep slope) may cause the motor to power off after 15 seconds.
Charging Your Switch
- Ensure the charging port is clean and dry, with no dust or debris.
- Plug the charger into a grounded wall outlet.
- Connect the cable with the power supply (100V ~ 240V; 50/60 Hz).
- Align and connect the 1-pin charging cable into the charging port. DO NOT FORCE OR BEND THE CHARGING CABLE, AS IT MAY CAUSE THE PRONGS TO BEND OR BREAK.
- The charging indicator light should turn RED, indicating charging is in progress.
- When the RED indicator light turns GREEN, the Switch is fully charged.
- A full charge may take up to 2.5 hours.
- After fully charging, unplug the charger from the Switch and the power outlet.
