SPI Connection

Note: Changing the output mode requires switching via the application.

Pairing and Unpairing

Linking (Pairing)

  1. Turn off the device for 10 seconds, then turn it back on or briefly press the 'SET' button.
  2. Briefly press the 'ON' button 3 times within 3 seconds.
  3. The indicator light will flash green, indicating successful code pairing.

Note: If the indicator light does not flash, pairing failed. Repeat the steps. It is not possible to reconnect if the remote has already been paired.

Unlinking (Unpairing)

  1. Turn off the device for 10 seconds, then turn it back on or briefly press the 'SET' button.
  2. Briefly press the 'ON' button 5 times within 3 seconds.
  3. The indicator light will flash red, indicating successful code erasure.

Note: If the indicator light does not flash, unpairing failed. Repeat the steps. It is unnecessary to unpair if the device was never paired.

Smartphone App Control (TUYA SMART)

Network Pairing (Does not support 5G routers)

  1. Download and install the 'TUYA SMART' application from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Search for 'TUYA SMART'. Register an account if it's your first time, or log in if you already have an account.
  3. Connect the controller to the power supply. Ensure the indicator light flashes rapidly (2 times per second).
  4. To correct the indicator light status, you have two options:
    • Long press the 'SET' button.
    • Turn the controller off and on 6 times.
  5. Connect your smartphone to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  6. Open the TUYA SMART app, click the '+' icon.
  7. Select 'Lighting' and then 'Light Source (BLE + Wi-Fi)'.
  8. Follow the remaining on-screen instructions.

App Interface Description (Adding Device): Screenshots show the TUYA SMART app interface. The main screen displays 'Home' with weather information. Options to 'Add Device' are available. Within the 'Add Device' flow, categories like 'Electrical', 'Lighting', and 'Sensors' are shown. Selecting 'Lighting' reveals options like 'Light Source (BLE+Wi-Fi)', 'Light Source (Wi-Fi)', 'Light Source (Zigbee)', etc. The process involves selecting the correct device type and following prompts.

Function Instructions

Static Mode

Adjust or save pure static lighting settings.

App Interface Description (Static Mode): Shows controls for selecting colors (28 white colors, 80 RGB colors), adjusting brightness, width, and speed. Users can also save up to 8 scenes.

Dynamic Mode

(Selectable via the app or remote)

Features 28 white colors, 80 RGB colors, favorite modes, and 8 scenes. All modes allow adjustment of color, brightness, width, and speed.

App Interface Description (Dynamic Mode): Displays various dynamic effects like 'Colourful trailing', 'Colorful mixed trailing', 'Colourful wave', 'Colour stack', etc. Users can adjust parameters like Width, Speed, and Brightness. The app also shows options for 'Collect Scene', 'Auto', and different modes like 'Static', 'Dynamic', 'Music', 'Setting'.

Music Mode

8 types of music modes operate using the built-in microphone or the smartphone's microphone.

App Interface Description (Music Mode): Shows controls for music modes, including sensitivity adjustment for the microphone. Options for 'Timing', 'Meteor', 'Star', 'Rhythm', 'Capacity Music', 'Wave Spectrum', and 'Schedule' are visible.

Communication Protocol Definition

Configure via the application.

App Interface Description (Communication Protocol): Shows a selection screen for 'Communication Protocol' with options: 'SPI 800 kbps', 'DMX 250 kbps', 'DMX 500 kbps', 'DMX 750 kbps'. Users select the desired protocol (SPI or DMX).

LED Strip Type Setting

Modify output based on different LED strip types: single color, CCT, RGB, RGBW, RGB-B, RGB-C+CCT.

Please add the device in the [Tuya Smart] application, then follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Alexa application.
  2. Click 'More' (represented by three horizontal lines ☰) in the bottom right.
  3. Click 'Skills & Games'.
  4. Click the search icon (?) in the top right.
  5. Enter 'Smart Life' and search.
  6. Click on the 'Smart Life' skill, follow the instructions to complete the configuration and start voice control.

  6. Enter 'Smart Life' and search.
