Jewenwils Outdoor Mechanical Yard Stake Timer

SKU: HOYS16M [Instruction Manual]

Warning: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury, please strictly follow these instructions.

Installation

The Jewenwils Outdoor Mechanical Yard Stake Timer consists of a main timer unit and a multi-section stake. To assemble, connect the three sections of the stake together. Ensure the stake is firmly tightened to the body of the timer unit before installing it into the ground.

Tip: If the ground is too hard to insert the stake, digging a hole that matches the stake with a hard object will facilitate installation.

Visual Description: A diagram shows the timer unit with its outlets and a dial, connected to a pointed stake composed of three interlocking sections. The stake is designed to be inserted into the ground.

Product Layout

The timer unit features several key components:

  1. Cover: Protects the timer dial and controls.
  2. Timer Dial: A circular dial with numbers from 1 to 12 and a 'TIME' indicator. It has a white semicircle representing 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM (daytime) and a black semicircle representing 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM (nighttime). The dial is surrounded by small pins, where each pin represents 30 minutes (2 pins equal 1 hour).
  3. Grounded Outlets: Electrical outlets on the timer unit for connecting devices.
  4. Overload Protection Switch: A switch to reset the unit in case of an overload.

Visual Description: An illustration displays the timer unit from the side, highlighting its cover, the timer dial with its numbered segments and pins, the grounded outlets, and the overload protection switch. A separate circular diagram shows a close-up of the timer dial with its time markings and pins.

Operating Instructions

  1. Activate Overload Protection: Press the overload protection switch to the "I" position.
  2. Set Current Time: Turn the timer dial clockwise until the arrow on the dial indicates the current time. The white semicircle on the dial corresponds to 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the black semicircle corresponds to 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  3. Program ON/OFF Periods: Begin with all pins on the timer dial pulled up (representing OFF). Push the pins down for the specific periods when you want the timer to be ON. Pins in the down position indicate the ON state, while pins in the up position indicate the OFF state.
  4. Set Timer Mode: Push the "ON / TIMER" switch to the "TIMER" position. Plug the stake timer into a wall socket. The timer's operation can be overridden by setting the switch to the "ON" position, which will keep the power supply continuously ON. Ensure the switch is returned to the "TIMER" position for proper timer function.
  5. Connect Device: Plug your electrical device directly into the timer. Ensure the device itself is in the ON state so the timer can control its operation properly.
  6. Reset After Blackout: If a power outage occurs, reset the time on the timer dial as indicated in step 2.

Visual Description: A diagram illustrates the pins on the timer dial. Pins pointing upwards are labeled "Light/Device OFF", and pins pushed downwards are labeled "Light/Device ON". A note clarifies that pins indicated by an arrow cannot be pressed down and require rotating the dial to engage them.

Overload Protection

The unit is equipped with a reset function for overload protection. If the power unexpectedly turns off, unplug all connected devices, press the power switch to reset the device, and then reconnect the devices.
