Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Bottom Panel
Place the bottom panel on a soft, clean surface. Insert 3 wooden dowels (part 101345) into the pre-drilled holes along one edge of the panel.
Step 2: Attach Cam Dowels to Bottom Panel
Insert 3 cam dowels (part 118331) into the remaining pre-drilled holes on the same edge of the bottom panel. Use a screwdriver to tighten them until secure.
Step 3: Connect Side Panels to Bottom Panel
Align the side panels with the bottom panel, ensuring the holes for the cam dowels and wooden dowels match. Insert the cam locks (part 106720) into the corresponding holes on the side panels. Note: Ensure you use part 106720, not 103430, for this step.
Step 4: Secure Side Panels
Turn the cam locks (part 106720) clockwise using a screwdriver to secure the side panels firmly to the bottom panel. This will pull the panels together.
Step 5: Insert Shelf Unit into Cabinet
⚠ Caution: Lift the assembled shelf unit carefully. Do not drag it.
Slide the partially assembled KOMPLEMENT shelf unit into the larger IKEA cabinet system. Ensure it is aligned with the desired position.
Step 6: Install Shelf Support Pins in Cabinet
Insert 3 shelf support pins (parts 101558, 10077788, 139200, or 115344) into the pre-drilled holes on the inside of the main cabinet walls at the desired height for the top of the shelf unit. These pins will support the top panel of the KOMPLEMENT unit.
Step 7: Prepare the Top Panel
Insert 3 cam dowels (part 118331) into the pre-drilled holes along one edge of the top panel. Use a screwdriver to tighten them until secure.
Step 8: Attach Top Panel to Shelf Unit
Carefully lower the top panel onto the assembled shelf unit, aligning the cam dowels with the holes in the side panels of the shelf unit and the shelf support pins in the main cabinet.
Step 9: Secure Top Panel
Gently push down on the top panel to ensure it is fully seated onto the cam dowels and shelf support pins.
Step 10: Secure Top Panel with Cam Locks
Insert 3 cam locks (part 103430) into the corresponding holes on the top panel. Turn the cam locks clockwise using a screwdriver to secure the top panel firmly to the side panels of the shelf unit.
Step 11: Fasten Shelf Unit to Cabinet
Using a screwdriver, fasten the KOMPLEMENT shelf unit to the main cabinet by inserting 2 screws (part 109545) through the pre-drilled holes in the top panel of the shelf unit and into the main cabinet structure. Tighten until secure.
