JLab Audio Play Gaming Earbuds

Bluetooth Connection

1. Activate Bluetooth on your device.

2. Press and hold the button on the earbuds for 10 seconds. Release the button. The indicator light will flash red and blue, indicating connection mode.

3. Select "JLab Play Earbuds" from your device's Bluetooth settings. Once connected, the indicator light will flash slowly blue.

Recurring Use

After the initial connection, the JLab Play earbuds will automatically connect to your Bluetooth device each time they are powered on. Refer to the "Button Functions" section for details.

Charging

1. Open the USB port cover and connect the cable to a computer or a 5V (or lower) power source.

2. The indicator light is red while charging and turns blue when the battery is fully charged.

Button Functions

• VOLUME -: Press once
• PREVIOUS TRACK: Press and hold for over 2 seconds
• POWER ON / OFF: Press and hold for 2 seconds
• PLAY / PAUSE / ANSWER / HANG UP: Press once
• REJECT INCOMING CALL: Press and hold for 1 second
• ACTIVATE SIRI (iOS) or "OK GOOGLE" (ANDROID): Press twice
• BLUETOOTH CONNECTION: (Refer to Bluetooth connection instructions)
• VOLUME +: Press once
• NEXT TRACK: Press and hold for over 2 seconds

Equalizer Modes

Press and hold both buttons simultaneously for over 1 second. (JLab Play defaults to GAMING MODE upon power on).

• GAMING (One Beep): Enhanced mid-high frequency response for clear vocals and improved spatial awareness.
• MUSIC (Two Beeps): Amplified vocals and bass for a richer listening experience.

Microphone Notifications & Control

• POWER ON: Audible tone
• BLUETOOTH CONNECTED: Two beeps
• LOW BATTERY: "Low battery" alert (less than 20%)
• POWER OFF: Audible tone

• MICROPHONE ON: Switch up (blue light indicator)
• MICROPHONE OFF (MUTE): Switch down

Connecting to Console / Device

1. Connect the micro USB cable to the micro USB input on the earbuds.

2. Connect the controller or device to the AUX input.

HEADSET VOLUME WHEEL: Adjust the volume of your console or device.

PC/MAC Configuration (Bluetooth Connection)

PC Configuration (Windows 7, 8, or 10)

1. Select Control Panel from the Start menu.
2. Select Hardware and Sound categories.
3. Select the Sound category.
4. The Playback tab should display "JLab Play Gaming Earbuds" as the Default Device.
5. Click the Recording tab.
6. Right-click the "JLab Play Gaming Earbuds" icon and select "Set as Default Device".
7. Click OK to save changes.

MAC Configuration (macOS 10.1 and later)

1. Open System Preferences and select the Sound icon.
2. Select the Input tab and choose "JLab Play".
3. Select the Output tab and choose "JLab Play".
4. Set the Output volume to your desired level.
5. Closing the window will save your settings.

Notes

• When using the AUX INPUT, microphone and game volume are controlled by the console's settings. Adjust accordingly.
• The built-in microphone and mute function operate in both Bluetooth and AUX INPUT modes.
• Earbud button functions are only active in Bluetooth mode.

How to Wear

1. Choose the ear tips that best fit your ears.

2. The adjustable earbud design allows for a comfortable, desired fit.

3. Place the neckband around your neck, with the controls positioned on your right side.

Precautions

• Avoid moisture or liquids entering the ear tips or charging port cover. ⚠️
• Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity. ⚠️
• Do not drop or crush the earbuds. Avoid bending the cable or subjecting it to excessive stress, pulling, or forceful handling. ⚠️
• Earwax buildup in the ear tips may affect sound quality. Clean gently with a cotton swab or a similar tool.
• If you experience discomfort or pain, lower the volume or take a break from using the earbuds.
• If discomfort persists, discontinue use and consult a medical professional.
• Handle the earbuds with care and store them in a safe place when not in use.
