Minelab X-TERRA 705 Gold Pack Quick Start Guide

Getting Started
Power On
To turn on the detector, press the Power button ⚡.
Prospecting Mode Selection
Ensure the Prospecting Mode ⬇️ is selected. If Coin Mode ? is currently selected, press the Mode button ? to switch to the Gold Prospecting Mode ?.
All Metal Mode
To select the All Metal mode, press the AM button.
Ground Balance
To initiate the ground tracking process, press the Tracking button ⚙️ to select Tracking. Confirm that Tracking is selected. Move the search coil up and down until a stable audio signal is achieved. Confirm all settings and then begin detecting.
Basic Detecting Principles
- Secure Cable to Shaft: Ensure the cable is properly secured to the detector shaft.
- Keep Metal Away from Coil: Maintain a distance between the search coil and any metal objects to avoid interference.
- Move Apart: Ensure sufficient spacing between users or detectors.
- Sweep Level: Maintain a consistent, level sweep motion with the search coil.
- Sweep Slowly: Move the coil at a slow, steady pace.
- Overlap Sweep: Ensure each sweep slightly overlaps the previous one for complete coverage.
- Refill Hole: After excavating a target, refill the hole to preserve the environment.
Recommendation: Maintain a distance of 25 meters (approx. 82 feet) from other detectors or potential interference sources.
Troubleshooting
Factory Reset
To reset the detector to factory settings, press and hold the Menu button ☰, then press the Power button ⚡. After the factory reset, repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 from the setup guide.
