Figure 3 shows the wall mounting of the transmitter.
Getting Started
- Set up the base station according to its instruction manual.
- Open the battery compartment of the transmitter and insert two new 1.5 V AA batteries, observing correct polarity. All LCD segments will briefly light up. The temperature and humidity will appear on the display. Data transmission is immediate.
- If connecting multiple transmitters, select a different channel for each using the 1/2/3 switch inside the battery compartment.
- To activate transmission manually, press the TX button.
- Close the battery compartment.
Installation
- For outdoor use, choose a shady and rain-protected location for the transmitter. Direct sunlight can falsify measurements, and constant moisture can unnecessarily strain electronic components.
- Before final installation, verify that measured values are transmitted from the desired location to the base station.
- Avoid placing the transmitter near other electrical devices (TVs, computers, cordless phones). Thick walls, especially those with metal parts, can significantly reduce the transmission range (max. 100 m).
- For wall mounting, screw the holder to the wall and click the transmitter into the holder (Fig. 3).
Battery Replacement
- When the low battery symbol (Fig. 1 E) appears on the display, replace the transmitter batteries.
- Note: After replacing batteries, re-establish contact between the transmitter and base station by restarting both devices or initiating a manual transmitter search.
Safety Information
WARNING
- Keep the device and batteries out of reach of children.
- Small parts can be swallowed by children (under three years old).
- Batteries contain harmful acids and can be dangerous if swallowed. Ingestion can lead to severe internal burns and death within two hours. Seek immediate medical help if a battery is suspected to have been swallowed or ingested.
- Do not throw batteries into fire, short-circuit, disassemble, or recharge them. Risk of explosion!
CAUTION
- Unauthorized repairs, alterations, or modifications to the device are prohibited.
- Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, vibrations, or shocks.
- Clean the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- The transmitter is splash-proof but not waterproof.
Battery Handling: Replace weak batteries promptly to prevent leakage. Ensure correct polarity. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types. Remove batteries if the device is not used for an extended period. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes when handling leaking batteries. Rinse affected areas with water and consult a doctor if contact occurs.
