Product Overview
The ZZ2 IC-NTG4.5 is an advanced camera integration system designed to enhance the functionality of Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the NTG4.5 infotainment system. It allows for the addition of up to three composite video inputs to the factory screen. A key feature is the ability to force one camera view onto the screen at any time, controllable via a steering wheel button.
Kit Components
The IC-NTG4.5 kit includes the following essential components:
- IC-NTG4.5 Interface Module: The central processing unit for camera integration.
- LVDS IN Cable: Connects the interface to the vehicle's LVDS display output.
- Main Power T-Harness: Provides power and necessary trigger signals to the interface module.

Interface Ports
The IC-NTG4.5 Interface Module features several key ports for connectivity:
- LVDS OUT: Outputs the integrated video signal to the vehicle's display.
- LVDS IN: Receives the original LVDS signal from the vehicle's head unit.
- Main Power INPUT: Connects to the main power T-harness.
- NOT USED: Reserved port.
DIP Switch Settings
DIP switches on the IC-NTG4.5 Interface Module are used to configure the system based on the vehicle model, screen size, and desired camera input behavior. After adjusting the switches, the unit should be reset.

System Diagram and Connections
The system diagram illustrates the integration of the IC-NTG4.5 Interface with the vehicle's original equipment (OE) NTG4.5 screen and radio. The OE LCD Screen Cable connects the vehicle's screen to the IC-NTG4.5 Interface. The Main Power T-Harness provides power to the interface. The interface accepts video inputs for:
- REVERSE CAM (REAR VID): For the rear view camera.
- TIMED FRONT CAM (FRONT VID): For a front camera, typically active for a short period after reverse.
- FORCED VIDEO INPUT (DVR VID): For a camera that can be manually activated.
A connection for a front camera is shown, requiring a Y-Adapter (not provided) for use with the 'timed' and 'forced ON' features. The diagram also indicates that the OE Fiber Optic cable should be reconnected to the front of the T-Harness.
Diagram description: Shows the OE NTG4.5 Screen, OE NTG4.5 Radio, and IC-NTG4.5 Interface. Cables connect the screen to the interface. The interface receives power from a Main Power T-Harness. Video input ports are labeled for rear, front, and DVR cameras. A separate section shows how to connect a front camera using a Y-Adapter.
System Utilization
Once the installation is complete and DIP switches are correctly set, the system operates as follows:
- Automatic Reverse Display: The reverse camera image should automatically appear on the factory screen when the vehicle is put into reverse gear. For vehicles with manual transmission, the power Orange trigger wire should be connected to the reverse gear signal.
- DIP Switch Effects: The DIP switches influence critical settings such as screen resolution (based on screen size), CAN type (vehicle model compatibility), and whether OE or aftermarket cameras are used.
- Forcing Camera View: To manually display the 'DVR VIDEO' input at any time (even when not in reverse), press and hold the button on the steering wheel.
