Assembly and Installation
Before You Get Started
Spread cushioning flat to lay the TV on to prevent damage.
1. Stand Assembly
a. Attach stands to the base of the TV, ensuring 'L' and 'R' markings match.
b. Insert one 20mm screw for each stand and tighten with a Phillips head screwdriver (not supplied).
Battery Installation
a. Open the battery compartment cover on the back side.
b. Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, matching polarity markings (+/-) with the diagram.
c. Replace the battery compartment cover.
3. Connect to Antenna
a. Connect an antenna cable (not supplied) to the 'ANT' input port at the back of the TV.
b. Ensure the antenna cable is connected to a working antenna, either via a wall socket or directly.
4. Turning TV On
Plug the power cord into a power outlet. Press the
button on the remote control, aiming at the sensor on the front of the TV. Alternatively, use the power button on the lower back panel.Turning TV Off
Press the
button to enter standby mode. To power down completely, unplug the power cord. It is recommended to unplug the TV from both the power outlet and aerial if not in use for extended periods.First Time Setup
Upon first power-on, a 'Welcome' screen will appear. Use the directional buttons and OK to navigate.
Bluetooth
Pair the Android TV remote via Bluetooth for voice commands using the Google Assistant button.
Language
Select your menu language.
Quickly set up with Android phone
Transfer Wi-Fi and Google account details from an Android smartphone, or select 'Skip'.
Select Wi-Fi network
The TV will scan for wireless networks. Ensure you are within range of your modem/router and have your password ready. Alternatively, connect via an Ethernet cable to the 'LAN' input port (4a).
Google Account sign-in
Link your Google Account to install apps from the Play Store and receive recommendations.
Terms of Service
Review and accept Google's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Google Play Terms of Service.
Location
Grant permission for location detection or adjust in Settings.
Help improve Android
Grant permission to send diagnostic information to Google.
Auto Tuning
After setup, the 'Auto Tuning' screen appears. Ensure the antenna cable is connected to the 'ANT' input port (4a). The TV will search for and save all available free-to-air channels. The number of channels found will be displayed.
Once setup is complete, you can access the Home page.
Home Page
1 Google Assistant: Launch virtual assistant for voice commands.
2 Text search: Manually search TV apps.
3 System notifications: Appears when notifications are present.
4 Source: Access free-to-air channels ('DTV') or other input sources.
5 Internet connection: Displays Wi-Fi or LAN connection status. Select for options.
6 Settings: Access the global settings menu.
7 Clock: Adjust time and date settings.
8 Apps: Access the App Centre for installed apps. Free-to-air channels are under 'Live TV'.
9 Favourites list: Customizable list of apps.
10 Play next: Displays currently playing or queued programs. Add by long-pressing 'OK' and selecting 'Add to play next'.
11 Pinned channels: Shows pinned channels. Order can be adjusted.
12 Customise channels: Add or remove channels from the Home screen.
Settings
Global settings
Navigate to the
icon (5a) on the Home screen to access adjustable options for interface, connectivity, and apps. In DTV mode, the button allows navigation to Settings.Quick Menu
Access TV options (picture, aspect ratio, speakers) by pressing the
button. Use buttons to navigate submenus and ∧/v buttons for Channel and Recording/Time Shift options.Device preferences
Open the device options submenu directly during live TV playback by pressing the
button.Basic Troubleshooting
Poor picture and sound quality
- Try a different channel.
- Adjust the antenna.
- Check all connections.
No picture or sound in TV status
- Try another channel.
- Press the TV/AV button.
- Ensure the TV is plugged in.
- Check the antenna connection.
No sound or sound is too low
- Check volume settings on external speakers.
- Adjust TV volume.
- Check another channel or input.
- Ensure MUTE is not active.
No colour, wrong colour or tints
- Ensure the program is broadcast in colour.
- Select the picture menu and adjust colour/tint submenus.
Picture rolls vertically
- Check all connections.
Blurred or snowy picture, distorted sound
- Check antenna direction, location, and connections.
- Issues may be caused by an indoor antenna (poor signal).
Remote control malfunctions
- Replace remote control batteries.
- Check battery terminals.
- Ensure remote is within range and obstructions are removed.
- Make sure the TV power cord is plugged in and the TV is on.
Image is not centred on the screen
- Adjust horizontal and vertical position.
"No Signal" on HDMI source
- Test with a different HDMI cable.
- Plug the device into another HDMI port.
- Try a different device connected to the same cable/port.
- Perform a factory reset on the TV.
