Quick Start Guide
Installation Steps
Step 1: Install the CPU
Open the CPU socket lever. Align the CPU's triangle mark with the socket's triangle mark. Gently place the CPU into the socket. Close the CPU socket lever.
Step 2: Install the CPU Fan
Mount the CPU cooler bracket according to the cooler's instructions. Secure the CPU fan to the heatsink and connect its power cable to the CPU_FAN header on the motherboard.
Step 3: Install Memory Modules
Open the clips on the DIMM slots. Align the notch on the memory module with the notch in the DIMM slot. Press down firmly on both ends of the memory module until it clicks into place.
Step 4: Install Storage Devices
Install storage devices such as SATA SSDs or HDDs. For M.2 SSD installation, please refer to the user guide.
Step 5: Install Expansion Card(s)
Remove the corresponding expansion slot cover(s). Align the expansion card with the PCIe slot and press down firmly until it is securely seated. Secure the card with the case's retention mechanism.
Step 6: Install the System Panel Connector
Connect the front panel connectors (e.g., Power SW, Reset SW, HDD LED, Power LED) to the corresponding pins on the motherboard's system panel header.
Step 7: Install ATX Power Connectors
Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector and the 8-pin (or 4+4 pin) CPU power connector from the power supply unit (PSU) to the motherboard.
Step 8: Connect Input/Output Devices
Connect your monitor via HDMI or DisplayPort. Connect USB devices, audio devices, and other peripherals to the rear I/O panel ports.
Step 9: Power On and Install OS/Drivers
Connect the power cord, turn on the system, and proceed to install your operating system and necessary drivers from the provided media or ASUS website.
Motherboard Layout Overview
The motherboard features the CPU socket (LGA1700), four DDR5 DIMM slots (A1, A2, B1, B2), multiple PCIe slots (PCIEX16, PCIEX1), M.2 slots for storage, SATA ports, various headers for fans (CPU_FAN, CHA_FAN), USB headers, audio headers, and system panel connectors.
Key connectors include ATX power (ATX_PWR), CPU power (ATX_12V), system panel header (PANEL), USB headers (USB_E12, USB_E34), and fan headers (CPU_FAN, AIO_PUMP, CHA_FAN1, CHA_FAN2).
Other notable features include BIOS FlashBack™ (BIOS_FLBK), M.2 slots (M.2_1, M.2_2), and various internal connectors for RGB lighting and front panel audio.
