DAB Antenna Installation
The DAB antenna should be placed on the windshield near the 'A post'.
Installation Steps:
- Remove the cover of the A-post.
- Stick the transparent part of the antenna on the windshield and place the black part on the metal frame.
- Attach the antenna to the metal of the car frame. No paint removal is necessary.
The active DAB+ antenna is powered through the antenna wire (+5V), requiring no separate power source.
DAB Settings and Playback
To use DAB radio:
- Connect the DAB antenna correctly as per the wiring diagram.
- Press the [MODE] button to switch to DAB mode. The system will automatically search and store stations on first use. To re-scan, press the [SCAN] button.
- After a full scan, the 18 strongest stations are stored in three DAB bands (six presets per band).
- Switch between DAB bands (DAB1, DAB2, DAB3) using the [BND] button.
- Use the preset buttons (16-21) or the [ / ] buttons (12/13) to select stations 1-6.
Important Safety Precautions
WARNING:
- Read the manual carefully before use.
- Do not operate any function that distracts from safe driving. Perform such functions only when the vehicle is stopped.
- Keep volume at a level that allows you to hear outside noises.
- Do not disassemble or modify the unit.
- Use only in vehicles with a 12V negative ground system.
- Keep small objects like screws out of reach of children.
- Replace fuses only with the correct ampere rating.
- Do not block vents or radiator panels.
- Do not insert hands, fingers, or foreign objects into slots or gaps.
- Stop use immediately if a problem occurs.
Product Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, dampen the cloth with water only.
Temperature: Ensure the vehicle temperature is between 0°C and +45°C before turning on the unit.
Disc Handling:
- Do not drop discs. Avoid touching the playing surface.
- Do not write on discs or affix labels.
- Clean discs by wiping from the center outwards with a soft cloth.
- Use only round discs. Irregularly shaped discs can damage the mechanism.
- If a new disc is ejected, check for irregularities around the center hole and edge.
Installation Location: Avoid direct sunlight, heat, high humidity, water, excessive dust, and vibrations.
Maintenance: Do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Contact an authorized Caliber dealer.
