Disc Handling and Installation
Important information regarding the use and care of discs, as well as installation guidelines:
Disc Insertion
The player accepts only one disc at a time. Ensure the label side faces up. An incorrectly inserted disc will display "Disc error". If the error persists, use the RESET switch with a pointed object. Playing discs on bumpy roads may cause skips but will not damage the unit.
Irregular and New Discs
Only use round discs. Special shapes can damage the mechanism. For new discs, if "Disc error" appears, check the center hole and outer edge for small bumps or irregularities. Rub these with a ballpoint pen or similar object before re-inserting.
Installation Location
Avoid installing the system in locations subjected to:
- Direct sunlight and heat
- High humidity and water
- Excessive dust
- Excessive vibrations
Correct Handling
Do not drop discs. Hold discs by the edges to avoid fingerprints. Do not affix tape, paper, or labels. Do not write on discs.
Disc Cleaning
Fingerprints, dust, or dirt can cause skips. For routine cleaning, wipe the playing surface with a clean, soft cloth from the center to the outer edge. For heavily soiled discs, dampen the cloth with a mild neutral detergent solution.
Disc Accessories
Various accessories are available to protect discs and improve sound quality. However, most affect disc thickness or diameter and can cause operational problems. It is recommended not to use such accessories.
