  1. Install X and Z components.

Secure with four screws. Visuals show attaching the X and Z axis components and securing them with screws.

  2. Filament Holder Installation

Attach the filament holder. Visuals show attaching the filament holder.

Connect the cables:

Visuals illustrate where to connect the motor and limit switch cables for the X and Z axes.

Operation Guide

Four steps: Start, Print, Level, Operate.

1. Start

Plug in the printer; the print button light will turn on.

Note: The printer is powered on; do not move the X, Y, and Z axes by hand.

2. Slicing Software (Convert STL to gcode)

The slicing software and tutorial video are on the TF card. The slicing software can only import STL files. For better print results, it is recommended to slice with Cura software; the TF card includes software and tutorials.

  1. Convert STL files to gcode.
  2. Copy the gcode file to the TF card.
  3. Insert the TF card into the printer.
  4. Click the print button to start printing.

Note: The 3D printer can only print gcode files. Filenames must use English letters or numbers only, with no special symbols.

Tip: The TF card contains a test gcode file to verify printer functionality. Do not press the print button again for this test file.

Visuals show a green checkmark for correct TF card insertion and a red cross for incorrect insertion.

3. Printer Operation

3.1 Leveling: Perform before the first print.

Follow the steps below to adjust the four points on the platform. The standard distance between the nozzle and the platform should be the thickness of a sheet of paper.

There should be friction when pulling the paper. (This is the primary leveling task; adult supervision is recommended).

a) First, place a sheet of paper on the print platform. The paper size should be slightly larger than the print platform.

b) Press the Leveling function button 1 to move the print head to position ① on the print platform. (Buttons 1, 2, 3, 4 on the leveling function correspond to positions ①, ②, ③, ④ on the print platform respectively).

Visuals show the print platform with numbered adjustment points.

c) Adjust the nut under the platform. Unscrew the nut, the platform rises; tighten the nut, the platform lowers. Adjust the platform's height so the gap between the nozzle and the print platform is the thickness of a sheet of paper (approx. 0.1 mm).

When you gently pull the paper, there should be noticeable friction between the paper and the nozzle, but it should not scratch the paper.

Note: When adjusting the nut, do not hold the platform with your hand, as this can affect leveling accuracy.

Visuals illustrate unscrewing the nut (platform rises) and tightening the nut (platform lowers).

d) After adjusting point ①, press button 2 on the leveling function to complete leveling for position ②. Use the same method to complete leveling for points ③ and ④.

e) If there are still issues, you can repeat the leveling process. Leveling is complete.

3.2 Install filament into the nozzle (Feed)

  1. Before feeding, raise the print head. Ensure the nozzle is more than 3cm above the print platform. Press and hold the print button for over 3 seconds, then release. The Z-axis will rise by 1cm. (When the printer is off, press and hold the print button for 3 seconds before releasing; the print head will rise by 1cm).
  2. Hold the filament's front end straight (approx. 2cm) and insert it into the conduit above the print head. Push it in fully and maintain gentle pressure on the filament throughout.
  3. Set the control knob to the 'Feed' position. The light will start flashing rapidly, indicating the nozzle is heating up. When the temperature is reached, the light will flash slowly. After the slow flash, the motor gears will start turning. Gently guide the filament into the nozzle. The entire process requires manual guidance to ensure the filament is caught by the gears. When filament emerges from the nozzle, the Feed is successful. The entire Feed process takes about 1 minute or more. Once Feed is successful, return the knob to the middle position.

Visuals show the filament insertion port and the control knob positions (FEED, RETRACT, PRINT POSITION).

Instructions next to the diagram:

  • 1. Straighten the filament end (approx. 2cm) and insert it into the print head conduit.
  • 2. Apply gentle, consistent pressure to the filament throughout the feed process and prevent it from recoiling.

Causes of Feed Failure:

  • 1. The filament end is not straight.
  • 2. The filament was not held with gentle pressure throughout the FEED procedure.

Note: After Feed is complete, return the knob to the middle position, otherwise the machine will not function correctly.

3.3 Start Printing

Insert the TF card with the gcode file (ensure correct orientation). Press the print button on the printer's control panel. The printer will recognize the latest gcode file on the TF card. The indicator light on the print button will blink. Wait patiently for the nozzle to heat up (approx. 1 minute). Once the temperature is reached, the printer will start printing.

Note: The printer only prints the last gcode file. Filenames must use English letters or numbers.

The TF card contains a test gcode file that will print directly the first time. Please do not press the print button again for this test file.

3.4 Pause and Resume Printing

To pause printing, press the print button. The light will stop blinking, and the printer will pause.

After pausing, press the print button again. The light will start blinking, and the printer will resume printing.

3.5 Stop Printing

To stop printing, press and hold the print button for over 3 seconds, then release. The printer will stop printing and cannot resume after stopping.

3.6 RETRACT Filament

If you want to change filament, or if the printer has not been used for a long time, to retract filament from the nozzle, turn the knob to the 'Retract' position. The print button light will blink. Gently pull the filament upwards by hand; it will move slightly before retracting.

The entire process takes about one minute. Note: Once Feed & Retract is complete, return the knob to the middle position, otherwise the machine will not function correctly.

Post-Printing

Once printing is finished, the platform can be removed and folded to take out the model.

Easythreed high-quality filament is recommended.

Safety Considerations

Please note: Hot parts! Keep fingers away from the nozzle. The nozzle temperature can exceed 200 degrees Celsius when the printer is operating.
