Getting Started: Unboxing and Setup

Follow these steps to set up your new Xiaomi TV.

1. Step 1: Unpack the Box

   Open the box and identify the contents: the TV unit, remote control, stand components, and screws. Note that screw types and quantities vary by model:

   • 43" models: ST5×4 screws
   • 50" models: ST5×4 screws
   • 55" models: M5×4 screws

2. Step 2: Remove TV from Box

   With the help of another person, carefully lift the TV out of the box. Ensure you do not apply pressure to the LED panel.

3. Step 3: Prepare for Placement

   Lay the TV face down on a soft, flat surface, such as a table covered with a protective cloth. This prevents scratches.

   Ensure the tablecloth is securely in place.

Connectivity and Ports

Your Xiaomi TV features a variety of ports for connecting external devices:

General Safety

• Keep small parts away from children to prevent swallowing.
• Keep optional accessories or devices emitting electromagnetic radiation away from the TV to avoid picture distortion or noise.

Troubleshooting & Hazards

⚠️ Warning: If the power cord is damaged, the outlet is faulty, the TV is damaged from a fall/impact, or liquid/objects enter the TV, immediately turn off the TV, unplug it, and contact Xiaomi service for inspection by qualified personnel.

Fall Hazard

⚠️ Warning: Televisions can tip over and cause serious injury or death. To prevent falls:

• ALWAYS use furniture that can safely support the TV's weight.
• ALWAYS ensure the TV does not overhang the edge of the supporting furniture.
• ALWAYS educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the TV or its controls.
• ALWAYS route cables so they cannot be tripped over, pulled, or reached.
• NEVER place the TV on unstable surfaces.
• NEVER place the TV on high furniture (e.g., cabinets or bookshelves) without securing both the furniture and the TV.
• NEVER place the TV on fabric or other materials between the TV and furniture.
• NEVER place items that might tempt children to climb (e.g., toys, remote controls) on the TV or furniture.

Usage Restrictions

Do not install or use the TV in the following environments to prevent malfunction, fire, electric shock, or damage:

• Locations: Outdoors (direct sunlight), near the sea, on boats, in vehicles, medical facilities, unstable places, near water, or exposed to rain/moisture/mold. Avoid areas with high sulfur compounds (e.g., public pool changing rooms).
• Environments: Hot, humid, or dusty places; areas prone to insects; places subject to mechanical impact; near flammable objects (e.g., candles). Do not expose to dripping or splashing water. Do not place liquid-filled objects (e.g., vases) on the TV. Avoid humid or dusty locations, or areas with steam (near stoves, humidifiers) to prevent fire, shock, or deformation. Do not boil water, cook, or use mosquito coils near the TV.
• Conditions: Do not touch the TV with wet hands. Do not operate with the cover open. Do not use unauthorized accessories. Unplug during thunderstorms. Do not install outdoors. Failure to comply may result in injury or damage.

Screen Damage Warning

⚠️ Warning: Do not throw objects at the TV. If the screen is damaged, do not touch it until the power cord is unplugged due to the risk of electric shock.

• Relative Humidity: <80%

General Precautions

• Watch the TV in adequate lighting to protect your eyesight.
• The screen and casing will become warm during operation; this is normal.
• The TV does not support DTS-CD bitstream input via HDMI IN.

Installation and Mounting

The TV should be installed near an AC outlet for easy connection and disconnection.

• Wall Mounting: It is recommended to use an authorized wall mount. The diameter and length of screws will vary by wall mount model. Using incorrect screws may cause the TV to fall or be damaged.
• Ventilation: Do not block ventilation openings or insert objects into the TV casing. Ensure sufficient space around the TV for proper ventilation. Do not mount the TV flat, upside down, or sideways. Do not place on shelves, carpets, or in cabinets. Do not cover with fabric or other materials.
• Wall Mount Screw Specifications:

(Note: For wall mounting, ensure the angle between the display and the vertical viewing angle does not exceed 15° for angles up to 85°, and 5° for angles greater than 85°.)

AC Power Cord Safety

• Ensure the plug is fully inserted into the AC outlet.
• Use the TV with a 200-240V AC power supply.
• Disconnect the power cord before connecting or moving cables, and be careful not to trip over them.
• Keep the power cord away from heat sources.
• Periodically unplug and clean the power plug. Dust accumulation with moisture can pose a fire risk.
• Do not pinch, bend, modify, or twist the power cord, as this can expose wires or cause damage.
• Do not place objects on the power cord.
• To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not connect too many devices to the same outlet.
• Do not use unsuitable AC outlets.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Unplug the TV before cleaning.

• Wipe the screen and casing with a soft cloth to remove dust. For stubborn dirt, use a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent.
• Do not spray water or cleaning agents directly onto the TV.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaners, alkaline or acidic cleaners, scouring powders, or volatile liquids like alcohol, oils, or insecticides.
• Regularly clean ventilation openings to ensure proper airflow.
• Move the TV slowly when adjusting its angle to prevent it from tipping.

• Do: Consult product documentation for disposal information, use authorized repair and processing companies, and deliver end-of-life products to authorized collection points. Separate packaging materials for recycling where possible.
