Vimar By-me Plus XT Thermostat 32041.x
The Vimar By-me Plus XT thermostat (32041.x) is a smart home device designed for precise temperature control in both heating and cooling systems. It supports 2-pipe and 4-pipe installations, managing fan-coil units with 3-speed or proportional control. This thermostat offers ON/OFF temperature control with a Class I contribution (1%) and PID control with a Class IV contribution (2%). It can also interface with a modulating actuator (01466.1) for Class V modulating control (3%).
Key features include a proximity sensor for activation from standby, a white LED matrix display, and two buttons for temperature setpoint adjustment. The device also features LEDs to indicate heating (amber or white) or cooling (blue or white) modes. Users can configure the display to show ambient temperature, current setpoint, or the difference from the setpoint.
The thermostat integrates seamlessly with the By-me Plus home automation system, enabling advanced thermoregulation. It includes a "boost" function to accelerate reaching the desired temperature by activating a secondary source. The proximity sensor's sensitivity is adjustable via the View Pro app, and its activation can propagate to other commands within the same XT support and application.
Key Features and Characteristics:

- Bus Absorption: Maximum 15 mA.
- Configuration: Features a red LED and a configuration/reset button.
- Connectivity: Rear connection to the electrified XT support.
- Form Factor: Occupies 2 front modules (30.5 mm).
- Standby Brightness: Selectable via parameters.
- Temperature Differential: Adjustable from 0.1°C to 1°C.
- Temperature Sensor Accuracy: ±0.5°C between 15°C and 30°C; ±0.8°C at temperature extremes (0-40°C range).
- System Management: Supports 2-pipe and 4-pipe systems, including neutral zone management in 4-pipe systems.
- Actuator Control: Controls ON/OFF valves (art. 01471) and proportional valves (0-10 V, 4-20 mA) via actuator 01466.1.
- Fan-coil Control: Manages 3-speed or proportional fan-coil units with ON/OFF valves.
- Regulation Algorithms: Selectable ON/OFF or PID control. PID offers more stable temperature regulation.
- Boost Function: Commands an auxiliary actuator to speed up heating or cooling.
- Half-Season Function: Available via supervisor for 4-pipe systems, commanding a secondary output.
- External Sensor: Can utilize an external sensor connected to the bus for replacement, averaging, screed temperature limitation, or display-only readings.
- Open Window Detection: Includes a function with adjustable delay for activation/deactivation.
- Remote Control: The device is manageable remotely.
- Temperature Offset: Allows for correction of measured temperature readings to compensate for installation factors.
- Command Compatibility: Can be controlled by button from device 32044.x for various functions.
- Display: 17x7 LED matrix.
- Operating Temperature: 0°C to +40°C (indoor use).
- ErP Classification: Class I (ON/OFF), Class IV (PID), Class V (with analog proportional actuator).
- App Control: Configurable via the View Pro app and controllable via the View app, Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri.
- Protection Rating: IP30.
- Pollution Degree: 2.
- Impulse Voltage: 4000 V.
- Software Class: A.
Configuration with View Pro App:
The View Pro app allows for detailed configuration, including setting chronoprograms (temperature levels T1, T2, T3), setpoints for different operating modes (Manual, Reduced, Away, Protection), and manual operating time duration (0.5 to 23.5 hours).
Installation Rules:
- Installation and configuration must be performed by qualified personnel according to local electrical regulations.
- The device must be installed on Vimar electrified XT supports: 2-module (art. 32602.x), 3-module (art. 32603.x), or 4-module (art. 32604.x, 32614.x).
- For optimal temperature measurement accuracy, install the device in the rightmost position of the XT support. If installing actuators, place them in the leftmost positions of 3- or 4-module supports. If these guidelines are not followed, an offset may be required for temperature calibration, though accuracy may not be guaranteed.
- Install the device at approximately 1.5m from the floor in a location suitable for accurate ambient temperature detection, avoiding niches, areas behind doors or curtains, heat sources, or forced ventilation flows. Avoid installation on perimeter walls or near heat-generating appliances.
- For optimal operation, it is recommended to enable only one proximity sensor per light point.
- Avoid installing two or more devices with active proximity sensors facing each other if the distance is less than 4 meters.
- Avoid installing a button with an active proximity sensor facing a device with an infrared receiver to prevent interference.
Regulatory Compliance:
The product complies with Low Voltage Directive (BT), EMC Directive, and RoHS Directive. It adheres to standards EN 60730-2-9, EN 50491-2, EN IEC 63044, and EN IEC 63000. It also complies with Regulation (EU) No 811/2013 concerning temperature control devices and REACH Regulation (EU) No 1907/2006.
The WEEE symbol indicates that the product must be collected separately at the end of its life. Users should dispose of the device at appropriate separate collection centers for electrical and electronic waste.
Trademarks mentioned include Apple, iPhone, iPad, App Store, Google, Amazon, and Alexa.
