Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- How often should the ice maker be cleaned?
The cleaning schedule depends on user habits. For frequent use, cleaning at least once a week is recommended. Neglecting cleaning can lead to scale buildup, which can block the pump and cause product failure. - How should the unit be cleaned?
Use a weak solution of lemon juice in water or white vinegar in water. Empty the ice maker immediately after cleaning. It is also recommended to empty the ice maker at least every three days to reduce water hardness and prevent scale buildup. - Why is my ice cloudy?
Cloudy ice is a result of cloudy water. Use distilled water or high-quality tap water. If your tap water is of low quality, consider installing a water filtration system. - Can I pour milk, juice, or other liquids into the water tank to make ice cubes?
No, it is not recommended to make ice cubes from liquids other than clean water. Milk and other beverages can clog the pump and shorten the lifespan of the unit. Milk proteins can also calcify, react with the water pipe, and damage the unit. - Why do my ice cubes melt so quickly?
As the ice maker is not a refrigerator or freezer, it lacks a heat reduction function. High ambient temperatures can accelerate melting. Closing the lid can help maintain internal temperature. Using electric fans nearby can also lower the air temperature. For longer storage, place ice cubes in a freezer. - Why do my ice cubes stick together?
This can be due to a too-long ice-making cycle or the water temperature in the tank being too low. Try stopping the ice maker, letting the ice blocks melt, and then restarting. Refill the water tank. Recommended water temperature is between 40°F and 90°F. - Why do my ice cubes smell like plastic?
Ice cubes themselves are tasteless. If you detect a plastic smell, clean the interior with a weak lemon juice and water solution. Run the ice maker for a few cycles, then rinse with clean distilled water. - Why is my unit noisy?
A quiet hum during operation is normal. Closing the lid can reduce noise. If the water pump is noisy, turn off the unit, clean the filter in the water tank, and restart. - Why is my unit leaking water?
The PVA tube inside the unit may have detached during transport. You can reattach it by removing the back cover. If unsure, contact Euhomy support for a video guide. - Why does water flow, but no ice is formed?
The ice maker should operate in an ambient temperature between 50°F and 105°F. Water temperature should be between 40°F and 90°F. If these conditions are met and no ice is formed, it may indicate a refrigerant leak. Contact Euhomy support with a video or photo.

UNPACKING THE ICE MAKER
Remove outer and inner packaging. Check for the ice basket and ice scoop. If any parts are missing, please contact customer service. Remove the tape securing the ice scoop, ice basket, and ice spoon. Clean the water tank and ice basket.
Place the ice maker on a flat, level surface, away from direct sunlight and other heat sources (e.g., stove, oven, heater). Ensure at least 10 cm of clearance between the unit and walls or other vertical surfaces. Wait one hour after unpacking before plugging in the ice maker to allow the refrigerant to stabilize. The unit should be placed in a location that allows easy access to the plug.
WARNING: Fill only with potable water.
INSTALLING THE HANDLE
Rotate the handle to the same angle as the mounting hole on the unit, then place it onto the unit.
Diagram showing how to attach the handle.
CONNECTING THE ICE MAKER
DANGER: Improper use of the grounded plug can result in electric shock. If the power cord is damaged, please contact our customer service department.
The unit should be properly grounded for user safety. The power cord of this unit is equipped with a three-prong plug that fits a standard three-prong wall outlet to minimize the risk of electric shock.
Connect the unit to a dedicated, properly installed, grounded wall outlet. Never cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord. For questions about power and/or grounding, please contact a qualified electrician. The unit requires a standard 220-240 V, 50 Hz electrical outlet with a three-prong ground.
AUTOMATIC SELF-CLEANING PROGRAM
Plug in the unit, press the "ON/OFF" button on the control panel for over 5 seconds to enter the self-cleaning program, which takes 30 minutes. The "S, L" indicator will flash sequentially during cleaning. After cleaning, drain the water from the inner tank through the drain outlet at the bottom of the unit.
OPERATING THE UNIT
- Open the lid, remove the ice basket, and pour water into the tank. Keep the water level below the water level marking.
- Press the "ON/OFF" button on the control panel to start the ice-making cycle.
- Select the ice cube size by pressing the "Select" button. If the room temperature is below 15°C (59°F), it is recommended to select small ice cubes to prevent sticking.
- The ice-making cycle takes approximately 6 to 13 minutes, depending on the ice cube size and room temperature. Recommended room temperature is between 10°C (50°F) and 38°C (100.4°F).
- If the water pump cannot pump water, the ice maker will stop automatically, and the "ADD WATER" indicator will light up. Press the "ON/OFF" button, refill the water tank to the maximum water level marking, and press the "ON/OFF" button again to restart the unit. Wait at least 3 minutes before restarting the unit to allow the refrigerant in the compressor to stabilize.
- The ice maker will stop when the ice basket is full, and the "ICE FULL" indicator will light up. Warning: Direct sunlight or reflected sunlight may cause the infrared sensor to malfunction. If the unit does not stop even when the ice cubes cover the sensor, move the unit to a location where sunlight does not reach.
- Change the water in the tank every 24 hours to ensure proper hygiene.
- If the unit will not be used, drain all water and dry the tank.
