Q&A

1. How often do I need to clean my ice maker?

   It is recommended to clean the ice maker at least once a week, depending on usage frequency. Failure to clean can lead to scale accumulation, pump blockage, and product malfunction.

2. How should I clean the machine?

   Use lemon water or weak acid vinegar for cleaning. Drain immediately after cleaning, then rinse with pure water. Drain water at least every three days (by pulling out the small hose on the right side of the water tank) to prevent high water hardness and impurity buildup.

3. Why is my ice cube cloudy?

   Cloudy ice indicates turbid water quality. Use drinking water and distilled water. If water quality is a serious problem, install a water filter kit.

4. Can I put milk and juice into the water tank to make ice cubes?

   It is not recommended. High concentrations of milk and beverages can easily block and reduce the lifespan of the pump. Protein in milk can also calcify and chemically react with the internal PU water pipe, causing it to break and the product to stop working.

5. Why does my ice cube melt easily?

   The ice maker is not a refrigerator and lacks a heat preservation function. High ambient temperatures, especially in summer, accelerate ice melting. Closing the lid helps maintain internal temperature. Some users place electric fans near the machine to dissipate hot air. For long-term storage, remove ice cubes from the basket and store them in a refrigerator.

6. Why is my ice so thick and difficult to fall from the ice tray? What should I do?

   This may be due to an excessively long ice making time or very low environmental temperature. Reduce the ice making time to 0 or -6 by pressing the minus key (-) on the touch panel.

7. Why does the ice cubes have a plastic smell?

   Ice cubes themselves have no taste. If a plastic smell is detected, clean the inside of the machine with lemon water, run a few cycles, and then rinse with distilled water.

8. Why is there noise in the operation of my machine?

   A faint running sound is normal. Closing the lid can reduce noise. If the water pump is noisy, turn off the machine, clean the filter in the water tank, and then restart to check if the noise disappears.

9. Why is water leaking from my machine?

   The PUA tube inside the machine may have fallen off during transportation. Remove the back cover and reconnect it. If assistance is needed, contact the Euhomy team for a professional video guide.

10. Why is there water flowing but not making ice?

    Provide a video or picture to Euhomy for assistance.

Safety Precautions

⚠ When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons or property. Read all instructions before using any appliance:

• Use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described in this owner's manual.
• This ice maker must be properly installed in accordance with the installation instructions before use.
• The unit must be positioned so that the plug is accessible. Do not run the cord over carpeting or other heat insulators. Keep the cord away from high traffic areas and do not submerge in water. Do not plug other appliances into the same outlet; ensure the plug is fully inserted.
• Extension cords are not recommended due to overheating risk. If used, use No.14AWG minimum size, rated no less than 1875 watts.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent, or similarly qualified person.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the supply socket when not in use for a long term.
• Remove the power plug or disconnect from the mains before cleaning or servicing. NOTE: If service is required, a certified technician is strongly recommended.
• Never unplug by pulling on the power cord. Always grasp the plug firmly and pull straight out from the outlet.
• Do not use the unit outdoors. Keep the unit away from direct sunlight and ensure at least 15 cm space between the back and wall, and clear front. Keep ventilation openings clear.
• Do not tip over the unit as it may cause abnormal noise, abnormal ice cube size, and water leakage.
• If the unit is brought in from outside in winter, allow a few hours to warm to room temperature before plugging in.
• Do not use other liquids to make ice cubes besides water.
• Do not clean the ice maker with flammable fluids; fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.

Operation & Installation

Main Unit Construction

The main unit of the ice maker consists of the following key components:

1. Top cover
2. Door for ice taking
3. Ice-making & its water tank assembly: Includes ice-making evaporator, water tank, water pump, and detecting parts.
4. Front panel

6. Air outlet: Must be kept clear for smooth air circulation; hot air blows out when unit is running.
7. Water draining port: Normally plugged with a cap. Unplug the cap and connect the white drain pipe when water needs to be drained.
8. Water inlet port for water supply: Used to connect the water supply pipe.

Accessories included: 2 meters long white water drain pipe, water quick connector for the water faucet, ∅6.35mm diameter white water supply pipe (3 meters long).

Ice-Making and Its Water Tank Parts

Detailed components of the ice-making and water tank system:

Features nine small holes through which water flows. It can be disassembled and cleaned.

Operation Panel

The operation panel includes the following controls and display features:

• A. "TIMER CLEAN" button: Quickly press once to enter Timer Setting. Press for more than 5 seconds to enter the Cleaning program.
• B. "ON/OFF" button: When off, press to turn on. During Self-cleaning or normal ice-making, press to turn off. If the unit is set with Timer, press to cancel. When making ice, press for more than 5 seconds to force ice harvest.
• C. LCD display window:
  1. Environmental temperature display and ice-making time countdown display. Ice-making time countdown shows "M", environmental temperature shows "F".
  2. Making ice and deice symbol display: The machine is making ice when the symbol rotates (❄), and deice when the symbol flashes (❄).
  3. Automatic self-cleaning symbol display (A).
  4. On/off symbol display (⏻).
  5. Error code display: E1 indicates environmental temperature sensor damage; E2 indicates ice making anomaly or refrigerant leakage.
  6. Water flow in and water shortage display: Flashing arrow (?) indicates water present; whole symbol bright (?) indicates water shortage.
  7. Ice full alarm (?): Indicates machine will make ice again when ice is removed.
  8. Setting display: Timing switch machine shows "H"; ice making time setting shows "M".
• "+", "-" buttons: Used to adjust ice-making process duration (default zero, 1 minute per press). Also adjusts timer delay (default zero, 1 hour per press).

Unpacking Your Ice Maker

• Remove exterior and interior packaging. Check for all accessories: instruction manual, ice scoop, white water inlet pipe, 4-way to 2-way water quick connector, and water draining pipe. Contact customer service if parts are missing.
• Remove tape fixing door and inner cabinet, ice scoop. Clean inner cabinet & ice scoop with a wet cloth.
• Place the ice maker on a level, flat surface, away from direct sunlight and other heat sources (stove, furnace, radiator). Ensure at least 20cm gap between the air outlet and obstacles, and at least 5cm between left/right sides and the wall.
• Allow 4 hours for the refrigerant fluid to settle before plugging in, especially if tipped during shipping. The appliance must be positioned so the plug is accessible.

WARNING: Connect to the potable water supply only. Only use drinking water.

• This unit is not for outdoor use. Maintain proper room temperature and inlet water temperature as per specifications; otherwise, ice making performance will be affected.
• Do not place this unit near any heat source.
• The unit should be located on a firm and level surface at normal countertop height.
• Ensure at least 5cm clearance at the rear for connections and 25cm clearance in front to open the door and ensure good air circulation.
• Do not place anything on top of the ice maker.

Installation clearance (dimensions in mm):

• Top view: 50mm clearance on left/right, 50mm clearance at back.
• Side view: 40mm clearance at top, 250mm clearance at front.

Electrical Shock Hazard: Plug into a grounding wall outlet. Never remove the ground prong. Use a separate power supply or receptacle. Never use an adapter or extension cord. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, electrical shock, or even death.

Before moving the ice maker to its final position, ensure proper electrical connection. A separate circuit serving only the ice maker is recommended. Use receptacles that cannot be turned off by a switch or pull chain. If the supply cord or plug needs replacement, it should be done by a qualified service engineer. This appliance requires a standard 110-120Volt, 60Hz electrical outlet with good grounding means.

⚠ Note: Recommended grounding method

For personal safety, this appliance must be properly grounded. It is equipped with a power supply cord having a grounding plug. To minimize shock hazard, the cord must be plugged into a mating grounding-type wall receptacle, grounded in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local codes and ordinances. If a mating wall receptacle is not available, it is the customer's responsibility to have a properly grounding wall receptacle installed by a qualified electrician.

Cleaning Your Ice Maker Before Using For The First Time

Before using your ice maker for the first time, it is strongly recommended to clean it thoroughly:

• Open the ice collecting door.
• Clean with diluted detergent, warm water, and a soft cloth.
• Repeatedly clean the water contacting inner parts. Pull out the water drainpipe of the water tank (indicated as "H" in illustrations) to drain cleaned water. To clean the inner ice-storing cabinet and all inner parts, drain all cleaned water from the water drain port (indicated as "7" in illustrations). Reinstall the water drainpipe of the water tank and the cap of the unit water drain port. The unit will not make ice normally otherwise. Discard ice cubes made by the first ice making cycle after cleaning.
• Clean the outside of the ice maker regularly with a mild detergent solution and warm water.
• Dry the interior and exterior with a clean, soft cloth.

Unpacking Your Ice Maker (Water Connection)

Important: Use only the new hose-sets supplied with the appliance to connect to water mains. Old hose sets should not be reused.

• Connect the water supplying hose to the unit:
  1. First, remove the clipper on the water inlet port (indicated as "B" in illustrations) at the unit back, then push inwards the anti-dusty plug. Use your other hand's finger to press the outer circle to fix the anti-dusty plug, then take down the anti-dusty plug.
  2. Insert one end of the white-water hose into the water inlet port, push inward completely, and install back the clipper. The water hose connection is now complete.
• Connecting the water drainpipe:

  Pull out the black water drainage cap (indicated as "A" in illustrations), then connect the white drainage pipe included in the accessory. Connect the other end of this drainage to the main water drainage pipeline.

• Connect the water hose to the water faucet of the water main supply system:
  1. First, install the supplied water quick-connector to the water faucet by screw thread.
  2. Second, remove the clipper from the water quick-connector, insert the other end of the water hose into this quick-connector port completely, then install back the clipper. (The water faucet should be supplied by the customer).

  Important: The water pressure of the main water supply system must be at least 0.04-0.6 MPa.

Unpacking Your Ice Maker (Operation)

• Starting up: Plug in the power plug. The power symbol (⏻) will flash in the display window. Press the ON/OFF button on the control panel. The machine will start to make ice when the external pipe adds water to reach the standard level on the water tank through the electromagnetic water valve. Next, the power symbol (⏻) will change to light on always in the display window and the ice making symbol (❄) will rotate. The ambient temperature will be displayed in the upper left of the display window (e.g., "80F"). Minutes later, flashing numbers (e.g., "10M") will display in the ambient temperature display area, indicating remaining time for the ice making cycle.
• Every ice making cycle finished, the deicing process begins, the ice making symbol (❄) flashes. The external pipe can add water to the water tank through the electromagnetic valve, and the arrow on the water symbol (?) will flash until the water reaches the standard level. Next, the water symbol (?) extinguishes, and the unit enters the next ice making cycle. When water cannot reach the standard level, the water symbol (?) is always bright, and the unit stops working. After water shortage, the unit needs to be restarted, otherwise it will start up automatically after 15 minutes.

• ⚠ Each ice making cycle is around 11-20 minutes. The ice making time changes according to ambient and water temperature. The first cycle will be longer (up to 30 minutes) due to high water temperature in the water tank.
• Adjust the ice thickness: Press the "+" / "-" button on the control panel. The number in the bottom left of the display window is the ice making time setting (default "0"). Pressing "+" adds one minute, making ice thicker. Pressing "-" reduces one minute, making ice thinner. Restarting the machine will revert to default "0". The current setting only changes the next and subsequent ice making cycles.
• When the ice full symbol (?) lights up, the machine will stop working. It will resume operation after ice is removed.
• Shut down the unit: During ice making, press the "ON/OFF" button for standby mode. Pressing "ON/OFF" for longer than 5 seconds during ice making enters the deicing process directly, which helps remove ice from the ice plate. Press "ON/OFF" to shut down the machine.
• Timing setting: Setting range is 1-24 hours.
  • Time shutdown: Set when the unit is running.
  • Time on: Set when the unit is on standby (ON-TIMER).
  • How to set up the timing: Press the TIMER button. Default timing time is "1H". Use "+" to add 1 hour, "-" to reduce 1 hour. The "1H" in the lower corner of the number will flash during adjustment. After 5 seconds without pressing, the "H" will display constantly, indicating the timer program is complete. In standby, "5H" means unit starts automatically after 5 hours. In ice making condition, "5H" means machine shuts down automatically after 5 hours. The "H" indicates timing function; the number decreases until zero, then machine enters desired mode.
  • How to cancel timing: If the unit has a timing (XX H displayed), press the "TIMER" button; the number and "H" will extinguish. When timing is active, the display area in the lower left corner will switch between timing time and ice making setting time every 5 seconds.
• Automatic self-cleaning program: Default cleaning time is 20 minutes.
  • Start: After connecting all water pipes, plug in power. Press "TIMER CLEAN" for more than 5 seconds. The cleaning symbol (A) rotates, and "20M" displays. The "CLEAN" light stays on. The water pump runs for 8 minutes and stops for 3 minutes, always recycling. Total duration is 20 minutes. Water flows to the water tank automatically when the water pump stops.
  • Cancel: The program takes about 20 minutes to complete and the system will automatically turn off. The "ON/OFF" button can also be pressed to cancel the self-cleaning program by force.
• How to switch Fahrenheit (°F) to Celsius (°C): Press "+" or "-" button for longer than 5 seconds to switch automatically.

Tips & Maintenance

Preparing The Ice Maker For Long Storage

If the ice maker will not be used for a long time, or if it is to be moved, drain all water from the system:

• Allow all ice cubes to eject from the evaporator.
• Turn off the unit and unplug the power cord.
• Shut off the water supply at the main water supply.
• Disconnect the water supply hose from the water inlet valve.
• Pull out the water drainpipe of the water tank (indicated as "H" in illustrations) to drain the water. Reinstall the water drainpipe.
• Drain all water from the water drain port (indicated as "7" in illustrations) at the unit back.
• Disconnect the water drainpipe from the main drain pipeline or floor drain, and then plug in the drain cap again.
• Drop the door open to allow for circulation and prevent mold and mildew.
• Leave the water supply hose and power cord disconnected until ready to reuse.
• Dry the interior and wipe the outside of the unit.
• Place a plastic bag on the unit to keep out dust and dirt.

Before any cleaning or maintenance (except self-cleaning program), unplug the ice maker from the main power supply. Do not use alcohol or fumes for cleaning/sanitization as it may cause cracks on plastic parts. A trained service person should check and clean the condenser at least once a year for proper unit function. This appliance must be cleaned using a water jet.

If the ice maker has been unused for a long time, it must be thoroughly cleaned before next use. Follow cleaning and sanitizing solution instructions carefully. Do not leave any solution inside the ice maker after cleaning.

Periodic cleaning and proper maintenance ensure efficiency, top performance, hygiene, and longevity. Maintenance intervals are based on normal conditions; shorten intervals if pets are present, unit is used outdoors, or other special considerations.

What shouldn't be done? Never keep anything other than ice in the ice storage bin. Objects like wine and beer bottles are unsanitary, and their labels may slip off and obstruct the drainpipe.

Exterior Cleaning

The door and cabinet may be cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water solution (e.g., 28g dishwashing liquid mixed with 7.5L warm water). Do not use solvent-based or abrasive cleaners. Use a soft sponge, rinse with clean water, and wipe with a soft, clean towel to prevent water spotting.

Stainless steel models may discolor when exposed to chlorine gas and should be cleaned with a mild detergent and warm water solution and a damp, soft cloth. Never use abrasive cleaning agents.

Interior Cleaning

For Ice Storage Bin

The ice storage bin should be sanitized occasionally, before first use and after extended periods of non-use. It is convenient to sanitize the bin after the ice making system has been cleaned and the storage bin is empty.

• Disconnect power to the unit.
• Open the door and wipe down the interior with a clean cloth and a sanitizing solution (28g household bleach or chlorine + 7.5L hot water (95-115°F)).
• Rinse thoroughly with clear water. Wastewater will drain through the drainpipe.
• Reconnect power to the unit.

The ice scoop should be washed regularly, like any other food container. DO NOT use solvent cleaning agents or abrasives on the interior, as they may transmit taste to ice cubes or damage/discolor the interior.

Ice Making Parts Cleaning

Periodically clean the main system of your ice maker during use:

• Repeat the above step to clean the water tank and other inner parts, especially the water dividing pipe on the evaporator, when the compressor and water pump run normally. If water flow from the water dividing pipe is small or blocked, carefully discharge and clean the water dividing pipe. Clean each small hole on the water dividing pipe (as shown in illustrations), ensure no clogging, then reinstall to the original location.
• If ice cubes on the evaporator surface are thick and difficult to fall: Do not use mechanical force to remove them. Press the "ON/OFF" button for more than 5 seconds to enter the ice melting process. After the large ice cubes fall, turn off the unit and unplug the power cord to clean the evaporator surface.

The water dividing pipe, with its small holes, is located above the evaporator. To clean, it needs to be pulled up first, then moved out to the right.

• For the water tank and ice-full detecting plate:

  The ice-full detecting plate is positioned above the water tank. Keep these components hygienic. Mix neutral cleaner & water in a clean water jet, then spray onto all inner surfaces of the tank & the ice detecting plate. Wipe these surfaces with a clean cloth. Then, spray with clean water, wiping with a dry clean cloth. Drain the cleaned water from the water tank by pulling out the water drainpipe of the water tank (indicated as "H" in illustrations). Reinstall the water drainpipe once all cleaned water has drained.

⚠ After cleaning the interior parts and reinstalling them, discard the first batch of ice.

Ice Making Assembly System Cleaning by Using Nu-Calgon Nickle Safe Ice-machine Cleaner

Minerals removed from water during freezing eventually form hard scaly deposits. Regular system cleaning helps remove mineral scale buildup. Cleaning frequency depends on water hardness (e.g., 4 to 5 grains/liter may require cleaning every 6 months).

• Turn off the ice maker. Keep it connected to the water supply and drainpipe, but shut off the main water faucet.
• Open the door and scoop out all ice cubes (discard or save in an ice chest/cooler).
• Prepare the cleaning solution: Mix Nu-Calgon Nickle Safe Ice Machine Cleaner with water.

⚠ WARNING: Wear rubber gloves and safety goggles (and/or face shield) when handling Ice Machine Cleaner or sanitizer.

Use a plastic or stainless container with more than 4 liters capacity. Mix 300 ml Nu-Calgon Nickle Safe Ice-machine Cleaner with 2.8 liters warm water (about 120-140°F). Divide the solution into 2 equal shares in 2 cups. Maintain the temperature of each cup of the cleaning solution.

• Check that the water drainpipe of the water tank is properly installed in its slot. Pour one cup of Nickel-Safe Ice Maker Cleaning Solution into the water tank. Wait for about 5 minutes.
• Turn on power, press "TIMER CLEAN" for more than 5 seconds to enter the self-cleaning program. The water pump runs for 8 minutes and stops for 3 minutes, completing one cycle, then another. Total duration is 30 minutes. The "CLEAN" light will be on, and the digit window will indicate remaining time.
• After the 30-minute self-cleaning program completes, pull out the water tank drainpipe, drain the cleaning solution to the lower ice storage bin. Shake the unit slightly to drain all solution. Then install the drainpipe to the water tank slot again.
• Repeat steps 4-6 to clean the ice making assembly system again.
• Then open the water faucet of the main water supply and let water flow into the unit. Press the "TIMER CLEAN" button for more than 5 seconds to enter the self-cleaning program. The water pump runs for 8 minutes and stops for 3 minutes, completing another cycle, then another one. Total duration is 30 minutes. The "CLEAN" light will be on, and the digit window will indicate remaining time. This process rinses the water dividing pipe, evaporator, water pump, silicone pipe, and water tank.
• When the self-cleaning program is complete, pull out the water tank drainpipe, drain the cleaning solution to the lower ice storage bin. Shake the unit slightly to drain all solution. Then install the drainpipe tightly.
• Repeat steps 8-9 two more times.
• Follow the above program to clean the ice storage bin.
• When this special cleaning program finishes, you can return to the regular ice making mode. Discard the first batch of ice cubes.

Interior Cleaning (Continued)

Daily Cleaning

The ice shovel, door, and water dividing pipe should be cleaned each day. At the end of every day, rinse the ice shovel and wipe both sides of the door with a clean cloth.

Semi-Monthly Cleaning

The ice shovel, ice bin, water tank, the ice-full detecting plate, and the surface of the evaporator are to be cleaned twice a month according to the interior cleaning program.

Semi-Annual Cleaning

All components & surfaces exposed to water or ice cubes (ice storage bin, water tank, door, evaporator, water pump, silicone tube, water dividing pipe) should be cleaned by Using Nu-Calgon Nickle Safe Ice-machine Cleaner every 6 months. Cleaning should be done by a serviceman according to the ice making assembly system cleaning program.

Normal Sounds

Your new ice maker may produce unfamiliar but normal sounds. Hard surfaces like floors, walls, and cabinets can amplify these sounds.

• Swooshing sound when the water valve opens to fill the water tank.
• Rattling noises from refrigerant flow or the water line. Items on top of the ice maker can also cause noise.
• The high-efficiency compressor may make a pulsating or high-pitched sound.
• Splashing sound from water running from the water tank to the evaporator plate and vice versa.
• Gurgling sound as each cycle ends due to refrigerant flowing in the ice maker.

• Sound of ice cubes falling into the ice storage bin during the harvest cycle.
• Continuous water running when first starting the ice maker (programmed rinse cycle).

Warranty

Euhomy offers a limited 1-year warranty ("warranty period") on products purchased new and unused from Euhomy company, with original proof of purchase. The warranty covers defects from faulty manufacture, parts, or workmanship during the warranty period. The warranty does not apply where damage is caused by other factors, including:

• Normal wear and tear;
• Abuse, mishandling, accident, or failure to follow operating instructions;
• Exposure to liquid or infiltration of foreign particles;
• Servicing or modifications of the product by non-Euhomy parties;
• Commercial or non-household use.

The Euhomy warranty covers costs to restore defective products through repair or replacement of any defective part and necessary labor to conform to original specifications. A replacement product may be provided instead of repairing a defective product. Euhomy's exclusive obligation under this warranty is limited to such repair or replacement. A receipt indicating the purchase date is required for any claim. Product registration is not required to activate warranty and does not eliminate the need for original proof of purchase. The warranty becomes void if non-authorized third parties attempt repairs or use non-Euhomy spare parts.
