1. Introduction
The Google Home Action expands upon Neo's simple and intuitive interface through Google Home. Users can now access most common air conditioning settings via voice commands, enabling capabilities such as:
- Activating and set the mode of the air conditioner.
- Querying and set temperatures.
- Setting fan speed.
- Controlling defined zones by name.
To use this feature, users must have their Neo Controller connected to the internet and logged into the Actron Cloud.
2. Name your device and zones
Ensure your device and zones are named on either the Neo controller or via the Neo Connect App. It is recommended to avoid punctuation in controller or zone names for optimal performance.
3. Setup Google Home Device and App
If Google Home is already configured, proceed to the next step. Otherwise, follow Google's guide to set up your Google Nest or Home speaker or display. This can be done by visiting the provided link or scanning the QR code.

4. Linking Neo Controller with Google Home
Follow these steps to link your ActronAir Neo Controller to your Google Home account.
Steps 4.A & 4.B: Initiating the Link
Open the Google Home app. Navigate to the 'Devices' tab and tap the '+ Add device' button. From the pop-up menu, select 'Works with Google'.
[Visual Description: The Google Home app interface is shown, highlighting the 'Devices' tab and the '+ Add device' button. A subsequent screen shows a pop-up menu with options to 'Set up a new device' or 'Link an existing device or service', with 'Works with Google' being the relevant selection.]
Steps 4.C & 4.D: Finding and Selecting the Actron Air Action
On the next screen, select the search icon (magnifying glass) in the top right corner and search for "Actron Air". The Actron Air Action, identified by its logo, will appear. Tap on the Action and press 'Continue' to link your account.
[Visual Description: The Google Home app search screen is displayed, with "Actron Air" typed into the search bar. The search results show the Actron Air logo, and the user is prompted to tap it and then 'Continue' to link the account.]
Steps 4.E to 4.G: Authentication and Confirmation
A login prompt for Actron Air will appear. Log in to the Actron Air cloud using your Neo credentials. When prompted, grant authorization to Google for accessing your Neo devices. Wait for Google Home to confirm the successful linking of your account.
[Visual Description: A sequence of screens shows the Actron Air login page, followed by a Google authorization screen requesting permission to access air conditioning systems, and finally a confirmation screen indicating the account is linked.]
Steps 4.H & 4.I: Assigning Controllers to Rooms
You will be prompted to add the Neo Controller to a room. If you have multiple NEO Touch Master Controllers, all will be displayed. Select the first Neo Controller you wish to assign and tap 'Next'.
[Visual Description: The Google Home app displays a 'Choose device' screen listing available Neo Controllers (e.g., 'Neo Controller 1', 'Neo Controller 2'). The user selects one and taps 'Next'.]
Steps 4.J to 4.L: Finalizing Setup
In the next window, select your home and tap 'Next'. You will then be asked to select the room for the controller from the list and click 'Next'. Follow the same steps to assign any remaining NEO controllers to their desired locations. Once all controllers are assigned, the Google Home App's 'Favourites' page will show the number of active Neo Controllers under the 'CLIMATE' section. The devices are now successfully connected and ready for use.
[Visual Description: Screens show selecting a home, then selecting a room from a list (e.g., 'Living Room', 'Kitchen'). The final visual shows the Google Home app's 'Favourites' screen with connected climate devices listed.]
Notes on Linking
If your Controller is not discovered successfully, check that device names do not contain punctuation and use simple common words (e.g., "Actron", "Neo", "Kitchen", "Bedroom"). If the discovery process remains unsuccessful, ensure your controller is properly connected to both the internet and the cloud.
