Nespresso Zenius ZN100 Descaling Instructions
Step 1: Preparation
Clockwise rotating red lights in buttons indicate that the machine needs to be descaled.
Step 2: Power Off
To start the descaling process, switch the machine "OFF". Ensure the lever is closed.
Step 3: Add Descaling Solution
Fill the water tank with 1 litre of water and 2 sachets of Nespresso descaling liquid.
Step 4: Attach Water Tank
Attach the water tank to the machine.
Step 5: Place Container
Place an empty container (1.5 litre capacity) under the coffee outlet.
Step 6: Start Descaling
Press and hold the Ristretto button, then switch the machine "ON". The Ristretto button will light up red.
Step 7: Initiate Descaling Flow
Press the Ristretto button to start the descaling process. Descaling liquid will flow from the coffee and hot water nozzle.
Step 8: Descaling Complete
When descaling is finished, the Lungo button will light up red.
Step 9: Empty Receptacle
Empty the water receptacle and place it back under the coffee outlet.
Step 10: Rinse Water Tank
Empty the water tank and rinse it with clean water.
Step 11: Refill with Clean Water
Fill the tank with clean water and attach it to the machine.
Step 12: Start Rinsing
Press the Lungo button to start the rinsing process.
Step 13: Rinsing Complete
When rinsing is finished, the flow will stop, and the Lungo button will remain lit up red.
Step 14: Ready to Use
The machine can now be switched "ON". Ristretto, Espresso, and Lungo buttons will flash white while the machine heats up. It is then ready to use.
