Introduction
The U-PROX Auto Tag is a contactless active identifier designed for efficient vehicle identification and enhancing logistics operations. It is suitable for marking vehicles, large objects, carts, and containers.
Key Features
This device operates exclusively with U-PROX SL and UPROX SE series readers, transmitting its unique identifier. The U-PROX Auto Tag is shipped in the off state and requires the user to move the switch to the 'ON' position to activate it.
Device Components
- Upper cover of the device housing
- Lower plate of the device housing
- LED indicator
- Device capsule
- Power on/off switch
- Power source: CR123A battery
Operating Modes
The U-PROX Auto Tag functions as an 'active identifier'. It periodically transmits its information (every 0.5 seconds) to compatible readers. Upon receiving this signal, the reader calculates the distance and exchanges data if the conditions are met, sending the identifier code to the controller. For re-interaction, the tag must leave the reader's range or cease transmission for over 6 seconds.
Usage Scenarios
- Interaction with Readers in "Door" Mode: Approach the reader within 0.5-1m. If the identifier code matches access rules, passage is granted.
- Interaction with Readers in "Barrier" Mode: Approach the reader within 3-12m. If the identifier code matches access rules, passage is granted.
- Registration in Access Control System: Bring the turned-off U-PROX Auto Tag close (10-20cm) to a desktop reader and then turn it on for registration.
Warranty Information
U-PROX devices come with a 2-year warranty from the purchase date, excluding batteries. For operational issues, contact support@u-prox.systems for potential remote resolution.
