Operating Modes
The U-PROX Auto Tag operates in the "active identifier" mode.
Active Identifier Mode
In this mode, the U-PROX Auto Tag periodically transmits brief information about itself and its readiness to interact with a reader over the radio, approximately once every 0.5 seconds. Upon receiving this notification, the reader calculates the distance to the U-PROX Auto Tag. If the distance matches the reader's settings and the reader has not yet interacted with this U-PROX Tag, data is exchanged between the reader and the tag. The reader then transmits the identifier code obtained from the U-PROX Tag to the controller.
For re-interaction with the reader, the U-PROX Auto Tag must leave the reader's range or stop transmitting its signal for more than 6 seconds.
Using U-PROX Tag
Readers support hardware active mobile identifiers such as U-PROX Tag and U-PROX Auto Tag.
Interaction with Readers in "Door" Mode
Approach the reader with your U-PROX Auto Tag at a distance of 0.5 - 1 meter. Data will be exchanged between the reader and the tag, and the reader will transmit the identifier code obtained from the U-PROX Auto Tag to the controller. If the code meets the access rules, the controller will allow passage (e.g., unlock the door).
Interaction with Readers in "Barrier" Mode
Approach the reader with your U-PROX Auto Tag at a distance of 3 - 12 meters (depending on the reader's settings). Data will be exchanged between the reader and the tag, and the reader will transmit the identifier code obtained from the U-PROX Tag to the controller. If the code meets the access rules, the controller will allow passage (e.g., open the barrier).
Registration in the Access Control System
To register the U-PROX Auto Tag in the access control system, bring the turned-off tag close to the desktop reader at a distance of 10 - 20 cm and then turn on the device. The code will be read and transmitted to the access control system for further registration.
Warranty
The warranty period for U-PROX devices (excluding power sources) is 2 years from the date of purchase. If the device does not operate properly, please contact support@u-prox.systems first, as the issue may be resolved remotely.
