inVENTer Centra: Central Ventilation Systems with Heat Recovery

inVENTer's Centra units offer optimal ventilation for living spaces, schools, and commercial areas from a single central unit, featuring advanced heat recovery technology.

Residential Ventilation with Centra

The Centra units from inVENTer provide optimal ventilation for all living spaces from a central ventilation unit. The central unit is ideally installed in a utility or storage room and ventilates the living area via an air distribution system. Individual rooms are designated as supply air or exhaust air rooms. Typically, bathrooms and kitchens are exhaust air rooms, while bedrooms and living rooms are supply air rooms. Additionally, the Centra unit features a fifth connection specifically for pure exhaust air rooms, such as a guest bathroom. Centra units are available in two variants: for ceiling mounting or for wall/floor mounting. Both variants feature a rotary heat exchanger, ensuring effective heat recovery.

Example Installation: Centra in a Living Space (Ceiling Unit)

This setup includes a heat exchanger, silencers for exhaust and supply air, and an air distribution system like Comair FLX.

School Ventilation with Centra

Centra by inVENTer is a powerful and flexible ventilation system that meets DIN standards for classroom ventilation. The compact unit is suitable for both new construction and retrofitting. Available in different sizes, the ventilation system is suitable for wall or ceiling mounting and can be optionally placed in an adjacent room. Control is via the intelligent C6M control system; the unit can be operated via app, PC, or a touch panel. Aerodynamically tuned components and balanced EC fans ensure quiet and efficient ventilation with low power consumption. The integrated rotary heat exchanger largely retains heat indoors.

Example Installation: Centra in a Classroom

Diagram showing a Centra ventilation unit integrated into a classroom environment. Air distribution is managed via ducts and outlets, ensuring fresh air supply and stale air removal. This setup includes a heat exchanger, silencers for exhaust and supply air, and air distribution components like spiral ducts and air outlets.

Description of external air intake and exhaust points, located in upper window sections (transoms) or on the exterior wall corners.

An exhaust air duct is shown installed within the classroom ceiling, facilitating the removal of used air.

Fresh, pre-warmed air is delivered into the classroom through a flexible air hose or duct.

Intelligent and Intuitive: Centra Control

The Centra units from inVENTer are equipped with a state-of-the-art intelligent control system. Based on sensor signals, a healthy room climate is automatically created. The control system can be easily adapted to local conditions via pre-programmed schedules or personal settings. Whether operation should be accessible to everyone or only authorized persons is flexible – controllable via the control panel, internet browser, or mobile app. BACnet or Modbus can be used as interfaces for building management systems.

Reference Project: Leonardo School Jena

The Leonardo School in Jena/Thuringia has Centra units installed in several classrooms. During planning, DIN standards for school ventilation, such as DIN EN 16798-1, were carefully observed. Through the air distribution system, pre-warmed fresh air is optimally distributed in the respective classrooms. Thanks to intelligent sensor technology, the ventilation system automatically provides sufficient fresh air for everyone in the room, allowing windows to remain closed.
