Enbrighten Seasons Landscape Lights

Introduction

Congratulations on your recent purchase of Enbrighten Seasons Landscape Lights. These lights are designed to provide lighting for life with no bulbs to replace ever again!

IMPORTANT: Before installation, please read all warning statements included at the bottom of these instructions.

To ensure proper installation, please follow each step below:

Step 1 - Initial Setup

• Carefully unpack Enbrighten Seasons Landscape Lights from the box. Remove and dispose of wire ties and plastic bags (see warning on bottom).
• Locate the remote control and install 2 AAA batteries (included).
• When installing landscape lights outdoors, a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) receptacle must be used. Before installing, plug the landscape lights into the GFCI receptacle to ensure all lights work properly.

IMPORTANT: Unplug the landscape lights prior to installation.

Step 2 - Installing Landscape Lights

Each landscape light is designed with two universal keyholes for mounting the included stakes (one per light) or for mounting on a flat surface.

Ground Mounting

1. Carefully plan your installation by laying out the landscape lighting system. Start at the GFCI receptacle and the controller's mounting location. The first light can be placed up to 20 feet (6 meters) from the controller. Each subsequent light can be placed up to 10 feet (3 meters) from the previous light.
2. Mount the controller within an appropriate distance so the polarized plug can reach the receptacle. The controller can be mounted using the keyholes on its rear or the keyhole ear tabs. Do not lay the controller directly on the ground or where standing water may accumulate. Ensure there is slack in the cord to prevent strain on the controller.
3. Ground mounting has two options for installation:
   • Place the light directly on the ground or garden bedding.
   • Using the provided mount stake: Insert the stake into either keyhole mounting slot located on the bottom of the light. Firmly insert the mounting stake into the keyhole slot, ensuring both tabs lock into place. The stake can then be inserted into the soil or mulch at the desired angle. If the stake requires significant force to insert, loosen the soil or remove obstacles like rocks to prevent damage. The stakes feature cord-management features on the sides to position the cord close to the stake.
   • Cord management: Enbrighten landscape lights feature burial-grade cable, allowing you to conceal excess cable by directly burying it or covering it with garden bedding.

Flat-Surface Mounting

Lay out the landscape system as planned. Mount lights only to a solid support structure, such as joists, beams, or studs. Use two #6 pan head screws (not included) of appropriate length for the surface. A mounting template is provided on the back of this page for easier mounting.

Using the Remote

To power your lights on or off, press the red ON/OFF button located at the top of the remote. Note: Keep the remote indoors when not in use, as it is not waterproof.

Explore the following programmable settings via your remote:

• Single-Color Selection: Choose your favorite color from the remote's color pad. The dimming button allows selection from 10 light levels (available for single- and dual-color selection only).
• Dual-Color Selection: Press "Color 1" and select a color for every other light, starting with the first. Press "Color 2" and select a color for the remaining alternating lights. Dimming is also available for this feature.
• Tunable White Color Selection: Press the "White" button to cycle through white selections: 2200K, 2700K, and 5000K.
• Strobe Selection: Press the "Strobe" button to cycle through all colors in a random pattern.
• Fade Selection: Press the "Fade" button for lights to slowly transition through all colors in a random pattern.
• Modes Selection: Press the "Modes" button repeatedly to cycle through preset modes: Twinkle, Multi-Fade, Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, Red/White/Blue, Fall, Spring, Multi-Colors.

Note: Your landscape lights automatically remember the last customized settings and turn on in the same mode and/or color scheme.

Timer Selection

• Press the "2 hour timer" button to activate a two-hour countdown until lights turn off.
• Press the "4 hour timer" button to activate a four-hour countdown until lights turn off.

Pairing Your Remote with Additional Lights

Your Enbrighten Seasons Landscape Lights come with a remote that can be paired to additional sets of landscape lights or Enbrighten Cafe Lighting for customizable control.

To Pair a Remote:

1. Plug in the lights (or supply power). Within 8 seconds, press and hold the ON/OFF button. The lights will turn white, blink once, and remain white, indicating they are paired.
2. You can pair one remote with multiple Enbrighten Seasons Lights simultaneously by powering multiple strings at once and holding the ON/OFF button within 8 seconds of power-on.

To Unpair a Remote:

1. Plug in the lights (or supply power). Within 8 seconds, press and hold the yellow button (located in the bottom left corner). The lights will turn white, blink twice, and remain white, indicating they are unpaired.
2. Multiple lights can be unpaired simultaneously from one remote by powering multiple lights at once and holding the yellow button within 8 seconds of powering on.

Lights can be paired with up to eight remotes.

General Warnings

• When using outdoor-use portable luminaires, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and personal injury.
• Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protection is required on circuits or outlets used for wet location portable luminaires. Receptacles with built-in GFCI protection are available.
• WARNING: Keep plastic bags away from babies and children. Do not use in cribs, beds, carriages, or playpens, as the thin film may cling to the nose and mouth and prevent breathing.

Risk of Electric Shock

• Receptacle outlets used for powering landscape lights must comply with all national and local electrical codes. Consult a local electrician if unsure.
• For use only on GFCI protected circuits.
• Do not submerge.
• Do not use around aquariums.
• Landscape lights are wet-location products and have no serviceable parts.
• Do not use with extension cords, near water, or where water may accumulate.
• Keep lamps at least 16 feet (4.8 meters) from pools and spas.
• Keep plugs and receptacles dry.
• Avoid damage to cords and lamp assemblies during installation. Periodically inspect lights for physical damage or damage caused by outdoor exposure.
• Replace any damaged landscape lights.
• Do not install in locations where landscape lights can be stepped on.
• Ensure landscape lights are unplugged from power during installation.
• Children should not play with landscape lights.
• UL recommends testing GFCI circuits and receptacles every month to ensure proper operation.

Risk of Fire

• Landscape lights are designed to be mounted using their individual keyhole mounting feature. Do not mount using the main electrical cord or individual drop cords.
• Not intended for installation in ceilings, soffits, cabinets, attics, or other enclosed spaces.
