ORBIS ALPHA Time Switch
Product Description
The ORBIS ALPHA is an electromechanical time switch designed for controlling electrical installations. It features quartz technology for precise timekeeping and allows for daily or weekly programming. The device offers independent mounting options, suitable for wall mounting, installation on a 35mm symmetrical DIN rail (EN 60715), or flush mounting in a panel.
The ALPHA series includes four models: ALPHA D (daily program, no power reserve), ALPHA QRD (daily program, with power reserve), ALPHA S (weekly program, no power reserve), and ALPHA QRS (weekly program, with power reserve).

Installation
Important: Installation and assembly must be performed by an authorized installer.
To install, loosen the screws to remove the clock base. Connect the wiring according to the connection scheme (refer to FIG.2 in the original document). Mount the base securely using screws on a surface or on a DIN rail. Reassemble the Alpha module onto the base, ensuring all connections are properly seated. Finally, replace the transparent protection cover.
Ensure the terminal cover is correctly fitted after installation to prevent access to live terminals.
Programming
The programming is done using pins on the dial. Moving a pin to the OUT position closes the circuit between terminals 1 and 3. Moving a pin to the IN position closes the circuit between terminals 2 and 3.
- Daily models (D, QRD): Minimum switching time is 15 minutes.
- Weekly models (S, QRS): Minimum switching time is 2 hours.
Setting the Time
Set the current time by turning the dial or hands clockwise until the indicator and hands show the correct time.
Manual Override
The time switch can be operated manually using the selector switch:
- A: Auto - Operates according to the programmed schedule.
- O: Off - Permanently switches the output OFF (terminal 2).
- I: On - Permanently switches the output ON (terminal 1).

Environmental Information and Disposal
This time switch may incorporate a battery whose contents can be harmful to the environment. Do not dispose of the product as unsorted municipal waste. Remove the battery and deposit it in a suitable container for recycling, or return the complete unit to the factory or local distributor. This complies with regulations regarding Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and battery disposal.
