2. INFORMATION FOR PRIVATE HOUSEHOLDS
Waste Equipment Disposal: Electrical and electronic equipment (waste equipment) must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste. It does not belong in household waste but in special collection and return systems.
Batteries and Lamps: Separate waste batteries and rechargeable batteries from the waste equipment before handing them in at a collection point, unless the equipment is prepared for reuse by a public waste management authority.
Returning Waste Equipment: Owners can return waste equipment free of charge to public collection points or take-back points set up by manufacturers/distributors. Stores with significant sales areas for electrical and electronic equipment, and larger grocery stores, are required to take back waste equipment.
Privacy Notice: Waste equipment may contain sensitive personal data, especially information and telecommunications technology devices. End users are responsible for deleting their data before disposal.
Symbol Meaning: The "crossed-out wheelie bin" symbol indicates that the device must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Initiatives on the Use of Video Products
EZVIZ products leverage technology to improve life quality. However, improper usage of video products can infringe on third-party rights. EZVIZ advocates for "Technology for the Good" and requests users to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical customs.
Key initiatives include:
- Respect privacy: Install video products with consideration for reasonable expectations of privacy. Provide clear warning notices in public areas and evaluate third-party rights in non-public areas, obtaining consent where necessary. Avoid highly-invisible installations.
- Define usage scope: Record real activities within specific time and space. Users should define their rights to avoid infringing on others' privacy or portraits.
- Responsible data usage: Video data, including biological data like facial images, can be reprocessed. Data controllers must comply with laws, regulations, international norms, social morality, and respect individual privacy and rights.
- Prioritize security: Product and data security are crucial. Implement measures to prevent data leakage, improper disclosure, and misuse, including access control and network security.
- Promote responsible use: Video products contribute to social security. Abuse of these products is contrary to innovation. Users should establish evaluation and tracking mechanisms to ensure proper and good-faith product application.
