This Electric Ventilator is designed for the Thetford C260 Cassette Toilet. Thetford recommends that this Electric Ventilator be installed by an official dealer or Service Centre. Working Principle
By activating the function on the control panel, the Electric Ventilator automatically filters smells from the waste-holding tank, expelling them odourlessly to the outside of the vehicle. For more information on how to use this option on your toilet, please read the C260 user manual.
Before Installation
- Make sure it is possible to drill a hole in the floor.
- This installation instruction depicts a standard model toilet (S-version). Your toilet may therefore vary slightly from the pictures in the instruction.
Tools Required:
- Electric drill
- 85 mm drill bit
- Screwdriver (Phillips head no. 2)
- Tie wraps
- Safety goggles
- Ear protectors
- Marker
- Butyl sealant

Before installation, look on the serial label for the product code. Parts of this code (bold printed in the example) will be used as a reference during installation.

Installation Steps
Step 1: Unscrew Housing
Unscrew the housing. Raise it slightly and lay it down. Handle with care, as the wiring connection is short.

Step 2: Remove and Prepare Printed Circuit Board (PCB)
Remove the printed circuit board. Place the connectors onto the new printed circuit board in the same corresponding positions. Avoid touching the surface of the new printed circuit board.

Step 3: Install New PCB and Secure Housing
Place the new printed circuit board into position and screw the housing back into place.

Step 4: Empty Flush-Water Tank
Empty the flush-water tank and unscrew the water fill door.

Step 5: Unscrew Toilet from Wall
Unscrew the toilet from the wall.

Step 6: Disconnect Water Supply Tube
Unscrew the hose clamp and disconnect the water supply tube.

Step 7: Disconnect Electrical Connectors
Disconnect the main electrical connector. For C263S models, also disconnect the wiring connector between the toilet and the control panel.

Step 8: Remove Covering Plate
Remove the covering plate.

Step 9: Remove Toilet from Floor
Unscrew the toilet from the floor. Lift the toilet up and remove it from the bathroom.

Step 10: Unscrew Side Cover
Unscrew the side cover.

Step 11: Create Mounting Holes
Make two holes by removing the indicated material.

Step 12: Position Toilet and Mark Hole Outline
Temporarily replace the toilet in position. Draw the outline of the round hole on the floor of the vehicle.

Step 13: Drill Main Hole
Remove the toilet again and drill an 85mm hole through the floor of the vehicle. Use the centre of the drawn hole as a reference point.

Step 14: Install and Seal Adaptor
Place the adaptor and screw it to the floor. Seal the adaptor at the bottom of the vehicle.

Step 15: Route Wiring and Secure Side Cover
Route the vent wiring through the holes as illustrated. Screw the side cover back into place. Ensure the wires are not trapped between the toilet and side cover.

Step 16: Fix Ventilator and Verify Positioning
Fix the ventilator in place using the foam. Verify that the ventilator is facing as per the specified positioning.

Step 17: Fit Large Seal
Fit the large seal at the bottom.

Step 18: Reinstall Toilet and Secure Fittings
Put the toilet back into position. Fix all screw positions again. Ensure the connection between the base and adaptor is correct.

Step 19: Remove Sticker
Remove the sticker.

Step 20: Lift Control Panel
Lift the control panel.

Step 21: Replace Printed Circuit Board (PCB)
Replace the current printed circuit board with the new one. Place the connectors at the corresponding positions. Avoid touching the surface of the new printed circuit board.

Step 22: Route Wiring to PCB
Route the wiring to the printed circuit board via the existing wiring. Use tie wraps to secure.

Step 23: Connect Ventilator and Replace Control Panel
Connect the ventilator connector onto the printed circuit board. Replace the control panel into the housing.

Step 24: Reconnect Main Connector and Verify Functionality
Reconnect the main connector. Push the right button to verify the functionality of the Electric Ventilator.

Step 25: Final Toilet Reinstallation and Checks
Put the toilet back into position. Fix screw fittings back into place. Ensure the connection between the base and adaptor is correct.

Step 26: Apply New Sticker
Place the new sticker on top of the control panel.

Step 27: Install Seal, Filter Box, and Plate
Stick the seal onto the plate. Place the filter box in position first and then the plate on top.

Step 28: Reconnect Water Tube
Reconnect the water tube and secure together with the hose clamp.

Step 29: Final Assembly and Readiness Check
Screw the toilet back to the floor and wall and replace the waste-holding tank. Your Electric Ventilator is ready to use.
