Safety Reminder
- This electric scooter is a leisure device. However, when used in a public area, it is seen as a vehicle and is subject to risks faced by vehicles. For your safety, please follow instructions in this manual and traffic laws and regulations set forth by government and regulatory agencies.
- Understand that risks cannot be entirely avoided, as others may violate traffic regulations and drive incautiously. You are exposed to road accidents just as when you're walking or biking. The faster the scooter is, the longer it takes to stop. On a smooth surface, the scooter may slip, lose balance, and even result in a fall. Thus, it is crucial to use caution, maintain proper speed and distance, especially when you are unfamiliar with the place.
- Respect pedestrians' Right of Way. Try not to startle them while driving, especially children. When riding from behind pedestrians, ring your bell to give them a heads-up and slow your scooter to pass from their left (applicable to countries where vehicles drive on the right). When riding across pedestrian crossings, keep to the right at a low speed. When driving across pedestrian crossings, maintain the lowest speed or dismount the vehicle.
- Closely follow the safety instructions in the manual in countries that lack relevant laws and regulations regarding electric scooters. FanttikRide shall not be liable for any financial losses, physical injuries, accidents, legal disputes, or other interest conflicts resulting from actions that violate user instructions.
- Do not lend your scooter to anyone who does not know the operations. When lending it to friends, ensure they know the operation and wear safety gear.
- Check the scooter before every use. If you notice loose parts, low battery alerts, flat tires, excessive wear, strange sounds, malfunctions, or other abnormal conditions, stop riding immediately and call for professional support.
- Before each cycle of operation, the operator shall perform the pre-operation checks specified by the manufacturer: Ensure all guards and pads originally supplied by the manufacturer are in proper place and in serviceable condition; ensure the area of operation is safe and suitable; ensure all safety labels are in place and understood by the operator and any passenger; ensure all axle guards, chain guards, or other covers/guards supplied by the manufacturer are in place and in serviceable condition.
- Avoid sharp bumps, drainage grates, and sudden surface changes.
- Avoid streets and surfaces with water, sand, gravel, dirt, leaves, and other debris. Wet weather impairs traction, braking, and visibility.
8. Folding and Carrying
Fold
Make sure that the scooter's turned off. Push the release lever and lower the handlebar stem to fold.
Carry
Hold the handlebar stem with either one hand or both hands to carry.
9. Daily Care and Maintenance
Cleaning and Storage
If you see stains on the scooter's body, wipe them off with a damp cloth. If stains won't scrub off, apply some toothpaste and brush with a toothbrush, then wipe off with a damp cloth. If you see scratches on plastic parts, use sandpaper or other abrasive materials to polish them.
Notes: Do not clean the scooter with alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive and volatile chemical solvents to prevent damage. Do not wash the scooter with a high-pressure water spray. During cleaning, ensure the scooter is turned off, the charging cable is unplugged, and the rubber flap is closed, as water leakage may result in electric shock or other major problems.
When the scooter is not in use, keep it indoors where it is dry and cool. Do not leave it outdoors for long periods. Excessive sunlight, overheating, and overcooling accelerate tire aging and compromise the scooter and the battery pack's lifespan.
Battery Care and Disposal
- Do not store in freezing or below freezing temperatures. To properly maintain your battery and ensure maximum battery life, carefully read the "Charge Your Scooter" section on page 9 of this owner's manual.
- The battery pack should not be disassembled, crushed, punctured, opened, or otherwise mutilated.
Disposal: Your C100 Pro uses a lithium-ion battery pack that must be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally safe manner. Do not dispose of a battery pack in a fire, as it may explode. Do not dispose of a battery pack in your regular household trash. Incineration, landfilling, or mixing batteries with household trash is prohibited by law in most areas. Return exhausted batteries to a federal or state-approved lithium-ion battery recycler.
If the battery becomes hot, leaks, smells strange, or emits smoke, place it in a fireproof container and wait for the symptoms to subside.
Charger Information
In the US and Canada only: For more information regarding recycling of rechargeable batteries, call toll-free 1-929-693-6066.
The charger supplied with the C100 Pro should be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts. In the event of such damage, the product must not be charged until it has been repaired or replaced. Use ONLY the recommended charger specified in the "Specifications" section on page 21, manufactured by "SHENZHEN FUYUANDIAN POWER CO.,LTD".
Always charge before exhausting the battery to prolong its lifespan. The battery pack performs better at normal temperature and poorly when below 32°F (0°C). For instance, when it is below -4°F (-20°C), the riding range is only half or less of the normal state. When the temperature rises, the riding range restores.
Note: A fully charged FanttikRide C100 Pro Electric Scooter will take around 5 hours to charge. The built-in intelligent chip logs charging and discharging records. Damage caused by prolonged non-charging is irreversible and beyond limited warranty. Once damage occurs, the battery cannot be recharged (non-professionals are forbidden to dismantle the battery pack, as it may cause electric shock, short circuit, or even major safety accidents).
