Installation Instructions

NetWay3012P is compatible with PoE+ switches or midspans. The unit is not intended to be connected to outside plant leads.

1. Mount NetWay3012P in proximity to IP device utilizing mounting hole (Fig. 1, pg. 2). Use a proper fastener and/or wall anchor when securing NetWay3012P to the wall.
2. Connect structured cable from port marked [IN] on NetWay3012P to ports marked [OUT] of midspan or switch (Fig. 2, pg. 3).
3. Connect structured cable from port marked [OUT] on NetWay3012P to the IP device (Fig. 1, pg. 2).
4. Connect 12VDC output from NetWay3012P terminals marked [+ 12VDC –] to the power input of the IP device (Fig. 1, pg. 2). Polarity must be observed.
5. Power LED indicator will illuminate on NetWay3012P under normal conditions (Fig. 1, pg. 2).

Figure 1 shows the NetWay3012P adapter with its connections. It illustrates a structured cable connecting from a PoE+ switch or midspan to the [IN] port of the adapter. The adapter has an [OUT] port for a structured cable to the IP device. It also shows the Power LED indicator and the 12VDC output terminals ([plus-minus] 12VDC [minus]) connected to the IP device's power input. The diagram includes the Altronix/Netway branding and location (Brooklyn, NY, USA, www.altronix.com).

Figure 2 illustrates a typical application of the NetWay3012P. It shows a network switch connected to multiple NetWay3012P units. Each NetWay3012P unit is shown powering different devices: a 12VDC microphone, a PTZ or Fixed Camera, an IR Illuminator, and an IP Camera. One NetWay3012P is also shown powering a generic 12VDC Device and another powering a PoE+ Device. The diagram also includes an NVR/Network Server and a Video Monitor, illustrating a complete surveillance or network system setup. Connections are shown from the network switch to the NetWay3012P units, and from the units to the powered devices.
