FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
- Q: Why does the Globe rotate automatically after powering on?
- A: It is the initial self-check. The device repositions the Globe and calibrates the scale. Do not touch it during this phase (approximately 2 minutes).
- Q: Why does the device not connect to Wi-Fi or disconnect suddenly?
- A: 1. The device only supports 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi connection; pay attention to the network configuration during connection. 2. If the device disconnects suddenly, check if the device's power connection and the connected network status are stable, then try reconnecting the device. If it persists, contact support@honeyguardian.com.
- Q: Why does the APP log show inaccurate cat weights after using the litter box?
- A: 1. Normal error: approximately ±100g during use. 2. If it's significantly wrong: perform "Reset Scale" from the menu. Do not interfere with the device during the reset process, then wait patiently for about 8 minutes before using it again. 3. Important: Place the device on a flat, hard surface. Move it by lifting, never by dragging.
- Q: Why doesn't the APP show the chronology of the cat's toilet visits after the cat leaves the Globe?
- A: 1. The device might be offline, and records may not be sent, or there might be a network delay. Wait a few minutes and refresh the APP to check. 2. Verify if the screen shows the toilet status when the cat is using the litter box to ensure the device is correctly detecting usage.
- Q: Why does the device not function with the message "Litter Cassette not installed"?
- A: 1. If the Litter Cassette is not installed correctly, the device will not detect it. Position the Litter Cassette with the handle facing forward. 2. If the error persists after 3 attempts, the magnetic sensor (Hall) might be faulty → Contact support.
- Q: How often should I clean the litter box for cats?
- A: This depends on the cats' habits. Litter Bags generally need to be replaced every 5-10 days. To prevent odors inside the Globe due to prolonged use, it is recommended to clean it once every 1-3 months. For detailed cleaning instructions, refer to the Disassembly and Cleaning Guide section of the Product.
- Q: Why does the display turn off?
- A: Under normal power conditions, the display remains always on. When the device is disconnected from the power, if the device uses a backup battery, to save energy, the display will automatically turn off when there is no operation, and the indicator light will remain on to remind you that the device is functioning normally.
