FAQ
- Q: Why does the Globe rotate automatically after the power is turned on?
A: The device initiates a self-test program upon powering on. This program restores the globe to the correct angle and resets the scale simultaneously. Please do not interfere with the device during the self-test. - Q: Why can't the device connect to WiFi or disconnect suddenly?
A: 1. The device only supports 2.4GHz WiFi connection. Pay attention to the network configuration during connection.
2. If the device disconnects suddenly, check if the device's power connection and the network status are stable. Try reconnecting the device. If connection fails repeatedly, please contact HoneyGuardian after-sales service at service@honeyguardian.com. - Q: Why is the APP record showing inaccurate weights of cats after toileting?
A: 1. Cat toileting is a dynamic process; the weight information obtained may change, affecting the final value. Under normal circumstances, the scale error is around 100g, which is sufficient for accurately measuring the cat's weight.
2. If the reported weight data significantly differs from the actual weight, operate the menu button to select the reset function. Do not interfere with the device during the reset process and wait approximately 8 minutes before using it again. - Q: Why does the APP not display the toilet history after the cat leaves the Globe?
A: 1. The device may be offline, preventing records from being reported, or there might be a network delay. Please wait a few minutes and refresh the APP.
2. Check if the screen displays the toilet status when the cat is toileting to ensure the device correctly senses the cat's activity. - Q: Why does the device fail to work with the message "Litter Bin not installed"?
A: 1. If the litter bin is not installed correctly, the device will not detect it. Ensure the litter bin handle is facing forward.
2. If the litter bin has been reinstalled multiple times and the screen still shows "Litter Bin not installed" after double-clicking the OK button, it might indicate a faulty Hall sensor. Please contact after-sales service to replace the Hall sensor parts. - Q: How often do I need to clean the cat litter box?
A: This depends on the cat's toileting habits. Litter bags generally need replacement every 5 to 10 days. To prevent odor buildup from long-term use, it is recommended to clean the unit thoroughly every 1 to 3 months. Refer to the "Product Disassembly and Cleaning Guide" section for detailed cleaning instructions. - Q: Why does the display go off?
A: Under normal power supply conditions, the display remains on. When the device is powered off and using a backup battery, the display will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery power. The indicator light will remain on to signify that the device is operating normally.
