Safety Precautions

Please read all safety precautions carefully. Pay attention to all caution and warning statements on the device or in the user guide. Only qualified technical personnel should perform repair services.

Power

  • Before connecting the device to a power outlet, ensure the power voltage is within the safe range and adjusted to 100~240V.
  • If the power cord has a 3-prong plug, do not disable the grounding pin. The computer must be connected to a grounded power outlet.
  • Ensure the installation site's electrical system provides a circuit breaker rated for 120/240V, 20A (maximum).
  • If the device will not be used for an extended period, unplug the power cord or turn off the outlet switch to achieve zero power consumption.
  • Avoid stepping on the power cord or placing objects on it.
  • If the device comes with an adapter, use only MSI-provided AC adapters suitable for this device.

Battery

If this device includes a battery, please follow these special precautions:

  • Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced incorrectly. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire or a hot oven, or crush or cut them mechanically, as this may cause an explosion.
  • Avoid placing batteries in environments with high temperatures or extremely low air pressure, which could cause an explosion or leakage of flammable liquids or gases.
  • Do not ingest batteries. If a coin/button battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns and potentially death. Keep new and used batteries out of children's reach.

EU: Batteries, battery packs, and batteries should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. Please return, recycle, or dispose of them according to local regulations using public collection systems.

Taiwan: Please recycle used batteries. To better protect the environment, used batteries should be collected and recycled separately or treated specially.

California, USA: Button batteries may contain perchlorate materials and require special handling when recycling or disposing. For more information, visit: https://dtsc.ca.gov/perchlorate/

Environment

  • To reduce the risk of heat-related injury or device overheating, do not place the device on soft, unstable surfaces or block its ventilation openings.
  • Use the device only on a hard, flat, and stable surface.
  • To prevent the device from tipping over, use anti-tip securing devices to fix the device to a desk, wall, or other object to ensure proper support and stability.
  • Keep the device away from humid and high-temperature locations to prevent fire and electric shock.
  • Do not place the device in environments with storage temperatures above 60°C or below -20°C, as this may damage the device.
  • Maximum operating temperature is approximately 40°C.
  • When cleaning the device, always unplug the power cord. Use a soft cloth for cleaning; do not use industrial chemical cleaners. Never pour any liquid into device openings, as this may damage the device or cause electric shock.
  • Keep the device away from objects with strong magnetic fields or high electrical charges.
  • If any of the following situations occur, contact a service technician for inspection:
    • Damaged power cord or plug.
    • Liquid has entered the device.
    • The device has been exposed to moisture.
    • The device is not operating normally or cannot be used according to the user guide.
    • The device has been dropped and damaged.
    • The device shows obvious signs of damage.

Certifications

TÜV Rheinland Certifications

Low Blue Light (Low Blue Light) Certification: Blue light is known to cause eye strain and discomfort. MSI monitors are TÜV Rheinland certified for low blue light to ensure user eye comfort and health. Follow these guidelines to reduce symptoms from prolonged screen exposure: Position the screen 20-28 inches (50-70 cm) from your eyes, with the center of the screen slightly below eye level. Blink consciously to relieve eye strain during extended use. Take a 20-minute break every 2 hours. During breaks, shift your gaze away from the screen and look at distant objects for at least 20 seconds. Stretch to relieve physical fatigue or pain. Activate the optional low blue light function.

Flicker Free (Flicker Free) Certification: TÜV Rheinland has tested this product to determine if it causes visible or invisible flickering that leads to eye strain. TÜV Rheinland has defined test projects and minimum standards for various frequency ranges, based on internationally accepted or industry-standard criteria, which are even stricter. This product has been tested in accordance with these standards. Keywords: "Flicker Free" confirms that the product exhibits no visible or invisible flicker across various brightness settings within the 0-3000 Hz frequency range. Enabling Anti Motion Blur (Motion Blur Reduction) / MPRT (Moving Picture Response Time) disables the Flicker Free function. (Whether Anti Motion Blur / MPRT function is included depends on the actual product.)
