1. Software Overview
1.1 Overview
LotusLantern is a mobile application designed to control LED strips using both Apple and Android phones. It replaces traditional control methods like infrared, 433MHz, 2.4GHz, and wired systems with a convenient, powerful, and scalable mobile phone interface. The app allows users to control the color, brightness, and color temperature of LED strips, set various fancy flash modes, and synchronize light changes with music rhythms. It supports controlling multiple LED strips via Bluetooth with simple and user-friendly operation.
1.2 Features
- Adjust color LED strips with 60,000 colors, controlling color and brightness.
- Adjust monochrome LED strips for brightness and color temperature.
- Synchronize light color and brightness with music rhythm or sound playback devices.
- Multiple setting modes for color change and control without a mobile device.
- Long-distance control with an omni-directional antenna and many-to-many group control mode.
- Automatic reconnection upon successful initial connection.
1.3 Performance
The LotusLantern APP is user-friendly and highly compatible with various smartphones. Tested on hundreds of mobile phones, its compatibility exceeds 95% of devices on the market. The app is small, efficient, consumes minimal system resources, and has low mobile configuration requirements. It offers minimal control delay, a good operational feel, and smooth light control that aligns with human visual perception.
2. Operating Environment
This APP requires phones with systems above Android 4.3 and iOS 8.0. Mobile phone configuration is not limited.
3. Instructions
Note: Android and iOS versions have similar download and usage methods. The following instructions use the Android version as an example.
3.1 APP Download
Scan the QR code to download the "LotusLantern" APP for iOS and Android systems. Open a browser or a tool with a "Scan QR code" function and scan the "LotusLantern" QR code provided.
App Operation Steps:
- Click the LotusLantern APP icon to enter the app page.
- If Bluetooth is not enabled, a prompt will appear: "An application wants to enable the Bluetooth function of this device." Click [Allow].
- Switch to the color and brightness interface:
- Click to show the lamp list.
- Use the color wheel to switch colors.
- Click to display the setting view.
- The lamp switch button controls the LED strip on/off.
- Display the RGB value.
- Click to enter the manual adjustment view.
- Click to show the lamp list and view the device list:
- Bluetooth automatically connects after searching for devices.
- View the device list, including "My Devices" and "Group Manage".
- Displays device connection status (e.g., "Online").
- Click to enter the RGB manual adjustment view:
- Click the square icon to adjust the color.
- Preset color options are available.
- Adjust color temperature (CCT) and white (W) settings.
- Buttons for Style, Music, Online, and Mic modes are present.
- RGB mode allows manual adjustment of Red, Green, and Blue values.
- Click "OK" to confirm or "Cancel" to exit.
- Displays the status of device connection.
App Operation Details
The app offers various modes for controlling the LED strips:
- Mode Interface: Allows selection of different lighting effects like "Yellow Strobe Flash", "Static Red", etc. Users can adjust speed and brightness.
- Music Rhythm Interface: Enables the LED strip to change color and brightness in sync with music. Users can select songs from a list, control playback (previous, pause/play, next), and view song details.
- Online Music Interface: Provides access to online music sources like QQMusic and malayaFM for music synchronization.
- Microphone Rhythm Interface: Allows the LED strip to react to music rhythms detected through the phone's microphone or an external microphone. Users can adjust the sensitivity of the microphone input.
- Schedule Interface: Enables users to set schedules for the LED lights to turn on or off at specific times. Options include setting the time, repeat settings, and enabling/disabling the light-on function.
- Modify Pin Sequence Interface: Allows customization of the LED strip's color sequence and saving of new assignments. Users can change the real color of specific lines and adjust sensitivity.
FCC Warning
Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference, and
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator and your body.
