- For personal use only.
- Developed for magnified representation of nature observations.
- Intended for indoor use only.
General Safety Instructions
⚠️ DANGER: Risk of Electric Shock!
- The device contains electronic parts powered by a source (AC adapter/batteries). Improper use can lead to serious or fatal injuries.
- Disconnect power by pulling the mains plug when not in use, during long interruptions, or before maintenance/cleaning.
- Ensure the device can be disconnected from the power supply at any time; the power outlet should be nearby and accessible.
- Always pull the mains plug, never the cable, to disconnect from the mains.
- Check the device, cables, and connections for damage before use.
- Never operate a damaged device or one with damaged electrical parts. Damaged parts require immediate replacement by an authorized service agent.
- Operate only in a completely dry environment. Do not touch the device with wet or damp body parts.
⚠️ DANGER: Danger of Suffocation!
- Keep packaging materials (plastic bags, rubber bands, etc.) away from children due to choking hazard.
- The product may contain small parts that can be swallowed by children.
- If small parts are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
⚠️ DANGER: Explosion Hazard!
- Improper use can result in fire.
- Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Use only the supplied AC adapter.
- Do not short-circuit the device or batteries, or dispose of them in fire. Excessive heat and improper handling can cause short circuits, fires, and explosions.
⚠️ CAUTION: Risk of Body Injury!
- The device may contain sharp-edged or pointed components. Keep the device, accessories, and tools inaccessible to children.
- Keep chemicals and liquids away from children. Do not drink.
- After use, clean hands thoroughly under running water. In case of accidental contact with eyes or mouth, rinse with water. Consult a doctor for any complaints.
⚠️ CAUTION: Fire Hazard!
- Never cover ventilation slots or cooling fins during operation or until the device has cooled down completely.
ℹ️ NOTICE: Danger of Material Damage!
- Do not disassemble the device. Contact your dealer for defects.
- Do not expose the device to high temperatures, water, or high humidity.
- Do not subject the device to excessive vibrations.
- Use only accessories and spare parts that comply with the technical specifications.
Choice of Location
Select a suitable location before setup and commissioning. Place the device on a stable, level, and vibration-free surface.

Mounting the Camera
This microscope is designed for use with a c-mount camera. To mount a camera:
- Screw the camera onto the thread of the camera connection.
- Loosen the fixing screw (optics) to rotate the camera and microscope optics within the microscope head.
Power Supply
The microscope can be powered via an AC adapter or optionally via batteries.
AC Adapter:
Connect the DC barrel connector (S2) of the mains adapter to the DC connection socket (S1) on the device. Then, plug the mains plug (S3) into the socket. The power supply indicator light will turn on.
Battery Operation (Optional):
- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Insert batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
Adjusting the Lighting
The microscope offers three lighting options: incident light, transmitted light, and combined incident/transmitted light. Each option has 5 brightness levels.
- For incident light observations, use the black and white object plate.
- For transmitted light observations, use the transparent object plate.
To adjust lighting:
- Ensure the microscope is powered.
- Press the "Inc" (incident light) and/or "Tra" (transmitted light) buttons to select the lighting type.
- Press the respective illumination button multiple times to adjust brightness (1=lowest, 5=highest, 0=off). Brightness settings are retained after power disconnection.
- Adjust the flexible arms of the incident light illuminator for optimal illumination of the observation object.
Adjusting the Height of the Head
Adjust the microscope head height as needed for different object sizes:
- Loosen the lock ring and slide it down.
- Hold the microscope head and loosen its locking screw.
- Adjust the head height and tighten the locking screw.
- Slide the counter ring upwards under the microscope head and tighten it. Ensure the counter ring is positioned directly below the microscope head.
Adjusting the Zoom
The microscope optics offer a zoom range from 0.7x to 4.5x. Adjust the zoom by turning the zoom ring. Note that focus may need adjustment after changing the zoom range.
Focusing the Object
Use coarse and fine focusing for sharp images:
- Set the desired zoom level.
- Focus on the object using the coarse focus.
- Fine-tune sharpness with the fine focus, especially after changing zoom or head height.
Adjusting the Friction
The friction for focusing can be adjusted:
- Loosen the clamping screw for the counter ring and slide it down.
- Hold the microscope head and loosen the locking screw.
- Hold the microscope head, insert the hook wrench into the bore on the drive shaft, and turn to tighten or loosen friction.
- Check the setting by turning the focus wheel.
WARNING: If friction is too loose, the head may move down, potentially damaging optics or attached components.
NOTICE: Tighter friction makes focusing stiffer.
Important Notes
Magnification: Objective magnification is based on visual microscopes. Camera magnification depends on the monitor display size and must be calculated individually.
Measurements: For measurements, ensure consistent settings. Magnification markings aid this. Object height does not affect working distance at a given magnification.
