Important Safety

- Outside the UK: If using the appliance in a bathroom, unplug after use as the proximity of water can be dangerous even if the appliance is switched off. For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.

Appliance Features and Operation
- This appliance is equipped with a safety thermostat. In the event of overheating, the appliance will either stop automatically or run hot and cold intermittently. Should this happen, simply slide the switch to the '0' setting, unplug and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Before use, ensure the rear filter is clear of hair and other debris. Plug in and switch on. If the appliance continues to overheat, discontinue use immediately, switch off and unplug, and contact the Conair Customer Care Line (refer to 'UK After Sales Service' section for further information).
- Do not place the appliance on any heat-sensitive surface whilst in operation.
- Take care to avoid the hot surface of the appliance coming into direct contact with the skin, in particular the ears, eyes, face, and neck.
- This appliance should not be used by adults whose reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or whose lack of experience and knowledge, might cause a hazard, unless they have been correctly instructed to understand the safe use and hazards involved and are adequately supervised.
- Allow the appliance to cool before storing away.
- After use, do not coil the lead around the appliance as this may cause damage to the lead. Instead, coil the lead loosely by the side of the appliance.

Instructions for Use
- Ensure the hair is 80% dry and combed through to remove any tangles. Divide the hair into sections ready for styling.
- Secure the selected attachment onto the handle. To interchange between attachments, refer to the 'Changing the Attachments' section.
- Slide the switch to the heat setting suitable for your hair type to turn the appliance on.
- After use, slide the switch to the '0' position to switch off and unplug the appliance.
- Allow the appliance to cool before storing away.
Changing the Attachments
- Place the attachment onto the handle and line up the two indents with the buttons on the handle.
- Push the attachment onto the handle until it clicks into place.
- To remove an attachment, press and hold the two buttons on the side of the appliance and pull the attachment away from the handle.
Drying Nozzle Attachment
- Use the drying nozzle attachment to remove excess moisture pre-styling by directing the airflow onto the hair and moving the airstyler around the head.
50mm Volumising Brush Attachment
- Place the brush head underneath a section of hair, close to the scalp, and hold for a few seconds to boost volume at the roots.
- Use the brush head to lift the hair at the roots as you dry.
- Slowly move the brush head down through the hair. As you reach the end of the hair section, rotate the airstyler slightly towards your face to curl the ends under.
- For a lasting style, select the cool setting [*] on warm hair whilst holding the brush head at the roots.
- Repeat for each section of hair.
Smoothing Paddle Brush Attachment
- Place the brush head under a section of hair, close to the scalp, with the bristles pointing upwards.
- Use your other hand to pull the hair section taut against the brush head until the combs penetrate through the hair.
- Gently glide the brush head through the section of hair. As the brush head nears the end of the hair section, turn the brush head under to give shape at the ends of the hair.
- For added control, place your other hand over the brush head as you glide down the hair section.
- Repeat for each section of hair.
Conical Curling Attachment
Please note: Before styling, make sure the universal heat glove is worn on the hand which is wrapping the hair around the barrel.
- Take a section of hair and starting 2 inches from the scalp, place the curling barrel next to the hair section, ensuring the end of the appliance is pointing down towards the shoulder.
- Start winding the hair around the widest part of the barrel, closest to the handle. Keep winding the hair down the length of the barrel until there is no more hair left to wrap around.
- Hold the end of the hair in place for 5-8 seconds, depending on the hair type. Then unwind or release the section of hair and pull the appliance away.
- Allow the curl to cool before styling.
- Repeat for each section of hair.
Heat Settings
There are 2 heat settings plus a cool setting. Use the cool setting on warm hair to set your style. Slide the switch to the first position to select the cool setting [*], the second position for the low heat [I], and the third position for the high heat [II].
If you have delicate, fine, bleached, or coloured hair, use the lower heat setting. For thicker hair, use the higher heat setting.
Heat Protective Glove
IMPORTANT! A universal heat protective glove has been supplied to help protect the hand from temporary contact with the barrel when wrapping the hair around the appliance. The heat protective glove is only designed to give initial contact protection. Discomfort will be caused with prolonged contact with the hot surface.
Care & Maintenance
To help keep your appliance in the best possible condition, follow the steps below:
- Ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged, and cool. To clean the outside of the appliance, wipe with a damp cloth. Make sure that no water enters the appliance and it is completely dry before use.
- Do not wrap the lead around the appliance; instead, coil the lead loosely by the side of the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance at a stretch from the power point.
- Always unplug after use.
Cleaning the Rear Filter
- Ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged, and cool.
- Using a soft brush, clean any hair and other debris from the filter.

If the product develops a fault due to defects in materials or manufacture after 12 months from the date of purchase, and within the guarantee period, Conair UK After Sales Service will repair or replace the product.
Exclusions
This guarantee will no longer be valid, meaning that The Conair Group Ltd will not be liable to repair or replace your product where:
- 1.) The appliance has been used on a voltage supply other than that which is marked on the product, or advised within this instruction booklet.
- 2.) The appliance has been purchased from an unauthorised stockist*.
- 3.) The appliance is used for professional / non-domestic usage.
- 4.) Repairs or alterations have been attempted by unauthorised persons.
- 5.) The failure of the appliance is a direct result of misuse.
- 6.) The failure is a result of not following the instructions for use.
This guarantee does not cover any cosmetic damage due to misuse of the product, nor any damage to persons or property that occurs because of product misuse.
