X7 Access Control System

1. Equipment Installation

Wall mount installation

Follow these steps for wall mounting:

  1. Remove the screw on the bottom of the device.
  2. Take away the back cover.
  3. Fix the back cover on the wall according to the mounting paper.
  4. Fix the device to the back cover.
  5. Fix the screw.

Note: The device includes a Tamper Switch.

Warning: No operation when power on!

The system supports both NO LOCK (normally open at power on) and NC LOCK (normally closed at power on) connections. Connect the NO LOCK to the NO terminal and the NC LOCK to the NC terminal.

When connecting an Electrical Lock, parallel one FR107 diode (included in the package) to prevent self-inductance EMF from affecting the system. Do not reverse the polarities.

Share power with the lock:

This configuration is suitable when the lock is near the device. The device output current (I), lock voltage (ULOCK), and lock current (ILOCK) should be considered.

Does not share power with the lock:

This configuration is used when the lock is further from the device or has specific power requirements:

4. Connected with Other Parts

Diagram shows connections for:

Voltage output is ≤ DC 12V for Alarm and Bell.

5. Connect with Power

Input DC 12V, 500mA (50mA standby). The positive terminal is connected with +12V, and the negative terminal is connected with GND. Do not reverse the polarities.

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Power on after the device is completely installed on the wall.
  2. Step 2: Change the administrator password and configure access control parameters, including unlocking duration, authentication mode, concealed mode, door sensor mode, and alarm settings.
  3. Step 3: Register users' cards, fingerprints, or eight passwords.

1.1 Administrator Operations

Administrator Authentication

To ensure data security, operate the device only after administrator password authentication.

1. Press [*] (The indicator is off and makes a long beep.)

2. Press [#] (You can authenticate the password.)

3. Enter the administrator password (The initial password is 1234.)

4. Authentication is successful (The indicator turns green.)

5. Exit (Press [*] or do not operate the device within 20 seconds. The indicator turns red and makes a long beep, then automatically exits.)

Note: The initial administrator password is 1234. It is advised to change it at the beginning.

Change Administrator Password

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [8] (You can change the password.)

3. Enter a new administrator password.

4. Enter the new administrator password again for authentication.

5. Succeeded (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

6. Exit (The indicator turns red and makes a long beep.)

Failed: The indicator turns red and makes three beeps.

Open the Door by Entering the Administrator Password

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [0] or [#] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

3. Press [0] or [#] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

4. The door is opened (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

5. Exit (The indicator turns red and makes a long beep.)

Note: This function can be used to open the door.

Administrator Password Is Forgotten?

If the administrator password is forgotten, dismantle the device, wait 30 seconds for a short beep, then press the Tamper Switch three times to reset to the initial administrator password. This operation must be done within 30 seconds.

Note: The initial administrator password is 1234.

1.2 Add Users

Register the fingerprint or card of a user, or register cards in batches.

Add Users

1. Administrator is authenticated.

2. Press [1].

3. Input user ID twice (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

4. Register fingerprint or card (Press fingers three times or swipe the card once.)

5. Adding Users successfully (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

6. Exit (Press [*], the indicator turns red and makes a long beep.)

Note: Four-digit passwords require four digits, press [#] to confirm.

Note: 1. Press [#] to confirm after the user ID is entered. 2. If the user ID is not available, the ID number increases automatically. It continues to register new users once a user is successfully registered.

Register Cards in Batches (optional functions)

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [6] (Registering cards in batches)

3. Swipe the first card once.

4. Enter the total number of cards.

5. Cards are successfully registered in batches.

6. Exit (The indicator turns red and makes a long beep, then automatically exits.)

Failed: The indicator turns red and makes three beeps.

Note: 1. In the process of entering the total number of cards, three-digit numbers are automatically verified. For numbers with less than three digits, press [#] to confirm. Press [*] to reenter the total number of cards. 2. You must clear all registered users before registering cards in batches. IDs of to-be-registered cards must be consecutive numbers.

1.3 Register Eight Passwords for Opening the Door

This device supports 8 passwords, each with a Group ID ranging from 1 to 8. The default password value is 0 for all groups, meaning passwords are disabled. You can modify passwords under 8 groups to open the door.

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [3] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

3. Enter the group ID of password (Group IDs: 1 ~ 8.)

4. Enter the password twice (The password consists of four digits.)

6. Register successfully (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

7. Exit (Press [*], the indicator turns red and makes a long beep, then automatically exits.)

Note: If a password is successfully changed, enter the Group ID to change the next one.

1.4 User Authentication

Card / Fingerprint / Password Authentication

After the device is powered on, it enters the authentication state for users to unlock the door.

1. The device is in the authentication state.

2. Press the fingerprint, swipe the card, or enter the password. Press [#] after entering the password.

3. Authentication is successful (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

Failed: The indicator turns red and makes two beeps.

Note: Press [#] after entering a password for authentication. The door opens if the entered password is identical with one of the eight passwords for opening the door. The initial eight passwords for opening the door are empty.

1.5 Delete Users

Delete a user whose fingerprint or card is registered, or delete all users.

Delete a User

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [2] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

3. Enter a user ID, press the fingerprint, or swipe the card.

4. Determine whether the user is authentic (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

5. The user is deleted (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

6. Exit (Press [*] or do not operate the device within 20 seconds, the indicator turns red and makes a long beep.)

Failed: The indicator turns red and makes three beeps.

Note: 1. You can swipe the card, press fingerprint, or input user ID to delete a user. Five-digit user IDs are automatically verified; if the user ID is less than five digits, press [#] to confirm. 2. The device automatically enters the process of deleting the next user when a user is deleted, or press [*] to exit.

Delete All Users

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [9] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

3. Press [9] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

4. Deleting All Users is successful (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

5. Exit (The indicator turns red and makes a long beep, then automatically exits.)

Note: Press [9] for automatic confirmation. Other values are considered invalid. If an invalid value is entered, the device indicator turns red, and the device makes a long beep and exits the process.

2.1 Configure Unlocking Duration

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [4] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

3. Enter the unlocking duration (range: 1s to 10s)

4. The unlocking duration is modified (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

5. Exit (The indicator turns red and makes a long beep again.)

Note: Press [10] for automatic confirmation. For values with less than 10, press [#] to confirm. Values greater than 10 are considered invalid.

2.2 Configure Authentication Mode

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [5] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

3. Enter the authentication mode.

4. The configuration is successful (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

5. Exit (The indicator turns red and makes a long beep.)

Authentication modes are as follows:

2.3 Configure Concealed Mode

If the Concealed mode is enabled, the indicator is off.

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [0] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

3. Press [3] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

4. Configure the concealed mode (0: enable; 1: disable).

5. The configuration is successful (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

6. Exit (The indicator turns red and makes a long beep.)

Note: An indicator blinks to indicate the status of this function when users are authenticating their cards or fingerprints or passwords.

2.4 Configure Door Sensor Mode

The door sensor has three modes:

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [0] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

3. Press [5] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

4. Configure the door sensor mode (0: NO ;1: NC; 2: None)

5. The configuration is successful (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

6. Exit (The indicator turns red and makes a long beep again.)

Note: The door sensor mode configured here is used as the basis for the door sensor alarm.

2.5 Configure Alarm

Note: If an alarm is triggered, the alarm can be terminated after the user is authenticated.

Configure Alarm setting

The alarm switch is turned on by default. When it's disabled, the Error Operation-Triggered Alarm, Tamper Alarm, and the Alarm Delay for the Door Status Sensor will also be disabled.

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [0] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

3. Press [1] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

4. Configure the alarm setting (0: enable; 1: disable).

5. The configuration is successful (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

6. Exit (The indicator turns red and makes a long beep again.)

Configure Error Operation-Triggered Alarm

If this function is enabled, alarms will be generated if the administrator fails authentication upon three attempts. Administrator authentication is not allowed within 20 seconds after an alarm is generated.

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [0] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

3. Press [2] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

4. Configure the error operation-triggered alarm switch (0: enable; 1: disable).

5. The configuration is successful (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

6. Exit (The indicator turns red and makes a long beep again.)

Configure Tamper Alarm

If this function is enabled, alarms will be generated when the device is dismantled from the wall. Configure whether to enable the disassembly alarm.

Configure Alarm Delay for the Door Status Sensor (DSen. Delay)

This function configures the time the door sensor waits to check the door status.

1. Administrator password is authenticated.

2. Press [0] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

3. Press [4] (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

4. Configure the alarm delay (range: 1s to 254s).

5. The configuration is successful (The indicator turns green and makes a long beep.)

6. Exit (The indicator turns red and makes a long beep.)

Note: 1. Three-digit values are automatically verified. For values with less than three digits, press [#] to confirm. Values greater than 254 are considered invalid. 2. When an alarm is triggered, the device interior alarm will be triggered first, then 30 seconds later, the device exterior alarm equipment will be triggered.
