Precautions
- Use the Proper Power Supply: This product is designed to operate with a 12-volt DC, negative ground battery system (standard in North American vehicles).
- Protect the Disc Mechanism: Avoid inserting foreign objects into the player's slot to prevent malfunction.
- Use Authorized Service Centers: Do not attempt to disassemble or adjust this product; contact a professional for assistance.
- Avoid Moisture: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this equipment to rain or moisture.
- Avoid Cleaning Products: Clean the front of the unit with a slightly damp cloth only. Do not use cleansers.
- Use Recommended Accessories: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock and annoying interference, use only the recommended accessories.
CAUTION: This mobile DVD player is a Class I laser product. Use of controls or adjustments other than those specified herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure. Do not open covers or attempt to repair the unit yourself. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
Disc Notes
Some CD-Rs/CD-RWs may not play on this unit depending on recording status, conditions, and equipment used. For reliable playback, adhere to the following recommendations:
- Use CD-RWs with speed 1x to 4x and write with speed 1x to 2x.
- Use CD-Rs with speed 1x to 8x and write with speed 1x to 2x.
- Do not play a CD-RW that has been written more than 5 times.
Disc Maintenance
- Wipe dirty or defective discs with a clean cloth from the center hole outwards. Never use benzene, thinners, cleaning fluids, anti-static liquids, or solvents.
- Use only round CDs. Special shape CDs may cause malfunction.
- Do not stick paper or tape on the disc. Do not use CDs with labels or stickers attached, or those with sticky residue.
- Do not expose discs to direct sunlight or heat sources, or leave them in a vehicle parked in direct sunlight where temperatures can rise significantly.
Handle discs with care to avoid scratches.
Installation
Read all instructions before installation. Professional installation by a reputable RV dealership is recommended.
Tools and Supplies Needed:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Wire cutters and strippers
- Tools to remove existing radio
- Electrical tape
- Crimping tool
- Volt meter/test light
- Crimp connections
- 16 gauge wire for power connections
- 16-18 gauge speaker wire
- Four M3x20mm screws
Disconnecting the Battery:
To prevent a short circuit, turn off the ignition and remove the negative (-) battery cable before installation.
NOTE: If the vehicle has an on-board drive or navigation computer, do not disconnect the battery cable, as computer memory may be lost. Use extra caution to avoid short circuits.
Selecting the Mounting Location:
Avoid locations exposed to heat, adjacent to heat-radiating equipment, poorly-ventilated or dusty areas, and moist or humid locations.
Mounting the Radio:
- Use the mounting hole diagram to measure and cut a mounting hole.
- Route power, speakers, AV, and antenna cables through the hole.
- Connect cables and ensure correct operation.
- Mount the unit using four M3x20mm screws.
- Attach the trim ring.
NOTE: Ensure the area behind the mounting location is clear of wires, fuel, and vacuum or brake lines before cutting.
Recommended Cutout Dimensions: 11.02"±0.03" wide, 2.89"±0.03" high, with R2.89"±0.03" corner radius.
Wiring
The wiring diagram shows all necessary connections for proper operation. Ensure any unused speaker wires are cut off or insulated.

Connections Diagram:
The diagram shows available audio/video connections including RCA inputs for Audio In (Left/Right), Variable Audio Out, Coaxial, AM/FM Antenna, HDMI Output, and Subwoofer outputs.
Basic Operation
Power
Press the POWER button (1) to turn the unit on. The unit will resume its last mode.
Zones Volume Control
- Press the ZONES button (31) to enter the zone menu.
- Use the ZONES button (31) or |<< / >>| buttons (20, 19) to navigate through zone settings (ZONE A mode, ZONE A volume, ZONE B mode, ZONE B volume, ZONE C mode, ZONE C volume).
- Rotate the VOL/ENTER knob (34) to select the zone mode or adjust volume.
Zone Mute
While adjusting zone volume, press and hold the ENTER knob to mute the audio output of the active zone. Rotate the VOL/ENTER knob to restore volume.
Pause / Mute
- In RADIO, AUX, COAXIAL, OPTICAL, HDMI ARC/IN modes, press the || button (18) to mute audio. Press again to restore volume.
- In USB, DVD, BT modes, press the || button (18) to pause playback. Press again to resume.
Audio Menu Setting
- Press the AUDIO button (32) to access the audio menu.
- Use |<< / >>| buttons (20, 19) or AUDIO button to navigate menu items.
- Rotate the VOL/ENTER knob (34) to adjust settings (BASS, TREBLE, BALANCE, FADER, LOUDNESS, SUBWOOFER VOL).
- Press the BACK button (2) to confirm and exit.
Adjustable audio settings include: BASS (-7 to +7), TREBLE (-7 to +7), BALANCE (LEFT 7 to RIGHT 7), FADER (REAR 7 to FRONT 7), LOUDNESS (On/Off), SUBWOOFER (up to 40), and EQUALIZATION (User, Flat, Pop, Classical, Rock).
System Menu Setting
- Press and hold the SETTINGS button (7) for 2 seconds to access the system menu.
- Use |<< / >>| buttons (20, 19) or SETTINGS button to navigate menu items.
- Rotate the VOL/ENTER knob to adjust settings.
- Press the BACK button (2) to confirm and exit.
System menu options include: BLUETOOTH (On/Off, Pair, Devices, Connect/Disconnect, Lock/Unlock, Delete), BEEP (On/Off), REGION (USA/EUROPE), PRESET VOL (1-40), and RESET.
Auxiliary Input Function
Connect portable audio devices via the front 3.5mm AUX input or rear RCA audio inputs. Press the AUX button (21) to select FRONT AUX or REAR AUX mode.
Coaxial and Optical Inputs
Connect portable audio devices via coaxial or optical cables. Press the AUX button (21) to select COAXIAL or OPTICAL mode.
HDMI IN
Connect devices with HDMI output ports using an HDMI cable to the front HDMI IN interface (5). Press the AUX button (21) to select HDMI IN mode.
Note: For streaming devices like Amazon Fire Stick or Roku, using the front USB for power is not recommended. Use a wall adapter power supply.
USB Interface Connector
Connect a USB device to the USB interface (11) for playback of compatible files (MP3/WMA). Press the USB button (22) to switch to USB mode. Note: USB does not support Apple device playback. The USB input supplies up to 1A of charging current.
Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)
The LCD panel (8) shows current functions and time. Use the DIM button (6) to adjust brightness.
Clock Setup
Press the Clock button (27) to set the clock. Rotate the VOL/ENTER knob (34) to adjust the hour, then press ENTER to adjust the minute. Press ENTER again to save.
Sleep Mode Setup
Press the SLEEP button (28) to set the sleep timer (OFF, 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes). Rotate the VOL/ENTER knob to adjust the time.
Alarm Setup
Press the ALARM button (29) to turn the alarm function on or off. Press and hold the ALARM button to set the alarm time. Rotate the VOL/ENTER knob to adjust the hour, then press ENTER to adjust the minute. Press ENTER again to save.
Reset
Use a ballpoint pen or similar object to press the RESET button (4) for initial installation, when function buttons do not operate, or if an error symbol appears on the display.
HDMI ARC
Connect an HDMI cable to a JENSEN TV with ARC function. When switched to HDMI ARC mode, TV audio will play through the head unit's speakers.
Disc Operation
Track Select
Use the >>| or |<< buttons (19, 20) to advance to the previous or next track. Press and hold for fast forward/reverse.
Fast Forward/Reverse
Press and hold the >>| or |<< buttons (19, 20) or use the remote control buttons (14) for fast forward/reverse. Press the || button (18) to resume normal playback.
Intro Scan (INT)
Press the INT button (12) to play the first 10 seconds of each track. Press INT again to end the scan.
Random Shuffle (RDM)
Press the RDM button (13) to play tracks in random order. Press RDM again to stop random play.
Repeat (RPT)
Press the RPT button (14) to select repeat options: RPT 1 (track), RPT ALL (disc), or RPT OFF.
Programmed Playback
- Press the PROG button (7) on the remote control to access the programmed playback screen.
- Use cursor buttons (15) to navigate fields.
- Use number buttons to enter track numbers.
- Press the ►|| button (17) or highlight "PLAY" and press ENTER (5) to begin playback.
Use "CLEAR" to delete the list.
Inserting a CD:
Insert a CD label-side up into the disc slot (30). The disc will play automatically.
Ejecting a CD:
Press the EJECT button (33) to stop CD play and eject the CD.
Pausing Playback:
Press the || button (18) to suspend or resume disc play.
Stop Playback:
Press the button (15) to suspend disc play. Press the || button (18) to resume. Press the button twice to stop playback.
DVD/VCD Operation
Inserting a Disc:
Insert a disc label-side up into the disc slot (30). The disc will begin to play.
Note: Press the DISC or USB button (24, 22) to alternate between USB and DVD sources.
Ejecting a DVD:
Press the EJECT button (33) to stop DVD play and eject the DVD.
Pausing Playback:
Press the || button (18) to suspend or resume disc play.
Stop Playback:
Press the button (15) to suspend disc play. Press the || button (18) to resume. Press the button twice to stop playback.
Track Select:
Use the >>| or |<< buttons (19, 20) to advance to the next or previous track. The selected track number will appear on the display.
Language Selection:
While playing a DVD, press the FOLDER UP button to change the DVD audio language.
Fast Forward/Reverse:
Press and hold the >>| or |<< buttons (20, 19) or use the remote control buttons (14) for fast forward/reverse. Press the || button (17) to end fast forward or reverse and resume normal playback.
Repeat Chapter/Title:
Press the RPT button (20) on the remote control to select repeat options: RER1 (track), RER ALL (disc), RPT OFF for VCD; RER Chapter, RER Title, RPT All, RPT OFF for DVD.
Playback Control (VCD Only):
Press the MENU button (28) on the remote control to turn Playback Control on/off.
Programmed Playback:
- Press the PROG button (7) on the remote control to access the programmed playback screen.
- Use cursor buttons (15) to navigate fields.
- Use number buttons to enter track numbers.
- Press the ►|| button (17) or highlight "PLAY" and press ENTER (5) to begin playback.

MP3/USB Operation
Inserting a USB Device:
Insert a USB device into the USB connector (11). Press the USB button (22) to select USB mode. The LCD will display "LOADING" and "USB".
Note: MP4 video format is not supported.
MP3 Specifications:
- Skip directories without MP3 files.
- Maximum number of folders: 512 (including skipped directories).
- Maximum number of folder levels: 12.
- Maximum number of MP3 files: 999.
- Maximum number of characters for MP3 file names and folder names: 32.
- Maximum number of characters for ID3 Tag: 32.
MP3 Monitor Display:
The output monitor displays track information, artist, and album.
Play/Pause:
Press the || button (18) to suspend or resume playback.
Track Select:
Use the >>| or |<< buttons (19, 20) or remote control buttons (14) to advance to the next or previous track.
Folder Up/Down:
Press the FOLDER UP (17) to access a higher folder level. Press the FOLDER DN (16) to access a lower folder level.
Intro Scan (INT):
Press the INT button (12) to play the first 10 seconds of each track. Press INT again to end the scan.
Bluetooth Operation
The JWM92A features built-in Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming.
About Bluetooth Technology:
Bluetooth is a short-range wireless radio protocol operating in the 2.4 GHz range, transmitting audio and data at speeds up to 2.1 Mbit/s over a range of up to 10 meters.
Bluetooth On/OFF:
Bluetooth mode is ON by default. Turn it OFF via the SETTINGS button (7) to reduce standby current. Navigate to BLUETOOTH ON/OFF and select ON or OFF.
Bluetooth Menu Options:
Access the "Bluetooth Device" menu via the SETTING button (7) and >>| or |<< buttons (19, 20).
- BLUETOOTH PAIR: Make the JWM92A available for pairing.
- BLUETOOTH DEVICES: View, connect/disconnect, lock/unlock, or delete paired devices.
- CONNECT/DISCONNECT: Temporarily remove the BT link.
- LOCKED/UNLOCKED: Lock up to 5 devices to prevent them from being removed from the list when more than 5 are used.
- DELETE: Remove a device from the list.
Pairing a Bluetooth Device:
- Press the BT button (23) to enter Bluetooth mode.
- Press and hold the BT button to start pairing (displays "PAIRING").
- On your device, select "JWM92A" in Bluetooth settings to connect.
Answering a Call:
BT AUDIO pauses when a call is answered and resumes automatically after the call ends. You may need to press the play button to resume BT AUDIO.
Bluetooth Audio (A2DP):
Access Bluetooth mode by pressing the BT button (23) to play music stored on your phone.
Selecting Tracks:
Use the >>| or |<< buttons (19, 20) to play the previous or next track.
App Operation
The JENSEN® Specialty Controller app allows wireless remote control of the JWM92A from your smartphone or tablet. Download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) by searching for "jControl".
Features:
The app controls Power, Volume, Mute, CD/DVD Player, AM/FM Tuner, Bluetooth Streaming, USB playback, Auxiliary Inputs, Speaker Selection, Audio Menu, and Clock settings.
Connecting and using jControl app:
Pair your device to the JWM92A as described in the Bluetooth Operation section. For Android devices, close the jControl app before Bluetooth pairing to avoid connection errors.
Remote Control Operation
The remote control provides access to all functions of the JWM92A.

DVD Setup Menu
Press the SETUP button (10) on the remote control to access the SETUP menu.
System Setup:
- TV System: Select AUTO, NTSC, or PAL.
- Screen Saver: Turn On/Off.
- TV Type: Select 4:3PS, 4:3 LB, or 16:9.
- Password: Set a four-digit security code.
- Rating: Set parental control level (requires password).
- Default: Restore default settings.
Language Setup:
- OSD Language: English, German, Spanish, French.
- Audio Language: English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Latin, German.
- Subtitle Language: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, OFF.
- Menu Language: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German.
Audio Setup:
- Audio Out: Defines digital output format.
- Key: Changes audio output key.
Video Setup:
- Adjust Brightness, Contrast, Hue, Saturation, and Sharpness.
Digital Setup:
- OP Mode: Select LINE OUT or RF REMOD.
- Dynamic Range: Select FULL, 6/8, 4/8, 2/8, or OFF.
- Dual Mono: Select STEREO, MONO/L, MONO/R, or MIX MONO.
Care and Maintenance
- Keep the product dry. Wipe immediately if wet.
- Keep away from dust and dirt.
- Handle gently to avoid damage.
- Wipe with a dampened cloth occasionally. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Use and store in normal temperature environments.
Ignition
Ignition systems can cause radio noise. Use a radio suppression type high voltage ignition wire and suppressor resistor to minimize noise. Additional noise suppressors may be used.
Interference
Radio reception varies in moving environments. AM reception can be affected by bridges, high voltage lines, and environmental noise, but it can receive at great distances as signals follow the Earth's curvature and reflect off the atmosphere.
Troubleshooting
Symptom | Solution |
