Packing List

Installation
Read all instructions before installation. Professional installation by a reputable RV dealership is recommended.
Tools and Supplies Needed:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Wire cutters and strippers
- Tools to remove existing radio
- Electrical tape
- Crimping tool
- Volt meter/test light
- Crimp connections
- 16 gauge wire for power connections
- 16-18 gauge speaker wire
- Four M3x20mm screws
Disconnecting the Battery:
Turn off the ignition and remove the negative (-) battery cable before installation to prevent short circuits. Note: If the vehicle has an on-board drive or navigation computer, do not disconnect the battery cable, as this may cause loss of computer memory. Use extra caution to avoid short circuits.
Selecting the Mounting Location:
Choose a location that avoids heat-radiating appliances, poorly-ventilated or dusty areas, and moist or humid conditions.
Preparing the Opening:
Use the provided mounting hole diagram to measure and cut the opening. Mount the unit using four M3x20mm screws. Ensure the area behind the mounting location is clear of wires, fuel, and vacuum or brake lines.
Mounting Hole Diagram Description: The diagram shows a rectangular opening with dimensions approximately 9.30" x 6.11", with mounting screw holes located at the corners.
Wiring
The wiring diagram details connections for proper operation. Ensure any unused speaker wires are cut off or insulated.
Wiring Diagram Description:
The diagram shows a 20-PIN speaker wire harness with color-coded wires corresponding to specific speaker outputs (e.g., PINK/BLACK for RIGHT (C) SPEAKER (-), PINK for RIGHT (C) SPEAKER (+), GREEN for LEFT (C) SPEAKER (+), etc.) and power connections (+12VDC SWITCHED, GROUND, AMP REMOTE).
Connections Diagram Description:
This diagram illustrates audio/video connections, including AUDIO INPUT, AUDIO OUTPUT, VIDEO OUTPUT, ANTENNA SOCKET, and the main WIRING HARNESS CONNECTOR.
Basic Operation
Power
Press the POWER button to turn the unit on or enter standby mode. The unit resumes its last mode upon power-up.
Volume Control
Rotate the VOL encoder knob clockwise to increase volume or counter-clockwise to decrease it. The LCD displays the numerical volume level, up to "40".
Audio Menu Setting
Press the AUDIO button to access audio adjustments. Rotate the VOL/ENTER encoder knob to adjust:
- BAS: Bass level from -7 to +7.
- TRE: Treble level from -7 to +7.
- BAL: Speaker balance (Left/Right) from L7 to R7. "BAL 0" is equal balance.
- FAD: Speaker fade (Front/Rear) from R7 to F7. "FAD 0" is equal balance.
Loudness
Press the LOUD button to toggle the loudness function on/off.
Mute
Press the MUTE button to silence audio output. Press again to restore the previous volume level.
Liquid Crystal Display (LCD)
The LCD panel displays frequency, time, and activated functions. Use the BRIGHT UP button to increase LCD brightness and the BRIGHT DOWN button to decrease it, from "LEVEL 0" (off) to "LEVEL 9" (brightest). LCD performance may be affected by cold temperatures.
System Menu Setting
- Press the SETTING button to enter the system menu.
- Use SETTING or |<< / >>| buttons to navigate the menu list.
- Rotate the VOL/ENTER encoder knob to adjust the selected option (within 6 seconds).
- Press the ENTER knob button to confirm and exit. The unit exits the menu after 6 seconds of inactivity.
Adjustable items include:
- Beep On/Off: Toggles audible button feedback.
- LCD Brightness: Adjusts LCD backlight level.
- Region (USA/Europe): Sets frequency spacing.
Bluetooth Settings:
- Bluetooth On/Off: Enables or disables Bluetooth.
- Bluetooth Device: View, lock, unlock, disconnect, connect, or delete paired devices.
- Bluetooth Pair: Use ENTER knob to automatically pair a device.
- PRESET Volume (PVOL): Sets the automatic turn-on volume.
Reset
Press the RESET button (using a ballpoint pen or similar object) to reset the JWM62A to factory default settings.
Tuner Operation
Select a Band
- Press the AM button repeatedly to select AM1 or AM2.
- Press the FM button repeatedly to select FM1, FM2, or FM3.
Manual Tuning
Press the >>| or |<< buttons to seek stations step-by-step.
Auto Seek Tuning
Press and hold the >>| or |<< buttons to automatically seek the next or previous strong station.
Preset Stations
Six numbered preset buttons store and recall stations for each AM and FM band.
Store a Station
Select a band, then press a preset button (1-6) to store the current station.
Automatically Store / Preset Scan (AS/PS)
- Automatically Store: Press and hold the AS/PS button for over 3 seconds to scan and store the 12 or 18 strongest stations. Press AS/PS again to stop.
- Preset Scan: Press AS/PS to scan through stored stations, pausing for 10 seconds at each. Press AS/PS again to stop.
Disc Operation
Inserting a CD
Insert a CD label-side up into the disc slot. The disc will play automatically.
Ejecting a CD
Press the EJECT button to stop CD play and eject the CD.
Pausing Playback
Press the || button to suspend or resume disc play.
Stop Playback
Press the 1/ button to suspend play (display shows "PRE STOP"). Press the || button to resume. Press the 1/ button twice to stop play (display shows "STOP").
Track Select
Press the >>| or |<< buttons to advance to the next or previous track. Press and hold to fast forward or reverse.
Fast Forward/Reverse
Press and hold >>| or |<< buttons, or press >> or << on the remote control, for FORWARD X 2. Holding longer increases speed (X 4, X 8, X 20) or PLAY. Press || to end fast forward/reverse and resume normal playback.
Repeat (RPT)
Press the 4/ button during disc play to access repeat functions: RPT OFF, RPT ONE (repeat selected track), RPT ALL (repeat all tracks).
Random Shuffle (RDM)
Press the 3/ button during disc play to shuffle all tracks (RDM ON). Press again to stop random play (RDM OFF).
Programmed Playback
- Press the PROG button on the remote control to access the programmed playback screen.
- Use cursor buttons on the remote to navigate fields.
- Use number buttons to enter track numbers.
- Highlight "PLAY" and press ENTER to begin playback in the programmed order. Use "CLEAR" to delete the list. Press PROG to exit.
DVD/VCD Operation
Inserting a Disc
Insert a disc label-side up into the disc slot. The disc will begin to play. Use the DISC or USB button to alternate between USB and DVD sources.
Ejecting a DVD
Press the EJECT button to stop DVD play and eject the DVD.
Pausing Playback
Press the || button to suspend or resume disc play.
Stop Playback
Press the 1/ button to suspend play (display shows "PRE STOP"). Press the || button to resume. Press the 1/ button twice to stop play (display shows "STOP").
Track Select
Press the >>| or |<< buttons to advance to the next or previous track.
Enter/Select
In menu mode, press the ENTER button to select a menu option.
Language Selection
While playing a DVD, press the 6/FOLDER UP button to change the DVD audio language.
Fast Forward/Reverse
Press and hold >>| or |<< buttons, or press >> or << on the remote control, for FORWARD X 2. Holding longer increases speed (X 4, X 8, X 20) or PLAY. Press || to end fast forward/reverse and resume normal playback.
Repeat Chapter/Title
Press the 4/ button or RPT button on the remote control to select repeat options: RPT OFF, RER1 (track), RER ALL (disc), RER Chapter, RER Title.
Playback Control (VCD Only)
Press the MENU button on the remote control to turn Playback Control on/off.
Programmed Playback
- Press the PROG button on the remote control to access the programmed playback screen.
- Use cursor buttons on the remote to navigate fields.
- Use number buttons to enter track numbers.
- Highlight "PLAY" and press ENTER to begin playback in the programmed order. Use "CLEAR" to delete the list. Press PROG to exit.
DVD Playback Features
- LANG: Select alternate audio language.
- SUBTITLE: Select alternate subtitle language.
- ANGLE: Select alternate viewing angle.
- ZOOM: Adjust picture zoom (ZOOM 2, 3, 4, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4) or OFF.
Note: Feature availability depends on DVD embedded information.
Playback Information
Press the button on the remote control to display playback information, including media and current playback time. Press repeatedly to view elapsed/remaining time for tracks and discs, audio language, subtitle language, and viewing angles.
VCD Playback Information
Displays track number, time, repeat status (CX, 1, D, A), and PBC status.
Remote Control Direct Track Entry
Use the number pad on the remote control to select tracks directly. For tracks > 10, press the 10+ button followed by the last digit.
GOTO Direct Track/Chapter Access
Use the GOTO button on the remote control to enter a track or chapter number directly (e.g., "010" for track 10). Press ENTER to confirm.
MP3/USB Operation
MP3 Monitor Display
When an MP3 disc or USB device is loaded, the monitor displays file and folder information. Icons for Audio, Photos, and Video indicate available media types.
Insert/Eject Disc
Insert disc label-side up into the slot (15) to play. Press the eject button (27) to stop playback and eject.
Play/Pause
Press the || button to suspend or resume playback.
Track Select
Press >>| or |<< buttons to search in the current folder or access the previous/next file. The selected file number appears on the display.
Folder Up/Down
Press and hold the 6/FD UP button (12) to access a higher folder level. Press and hold the 5/FD DW button (11) to access a lower folder level.
Repeat (RPT)
Press the 4/ button or RPT button on the remote control to select repeat options: RPT 1 (track), RPT DIR (folder), RPT ALL (disc), RPT OFF.
Random Shuffle (RDM)
Press the 3/ button to play all files in random order (RDM ON). Press again to stop random play (RDM OFF).
Fast Forward/Reverse
Press and hold >>| or |<< buttons, or press >> or << on the remote control, for FORWARD X 2. Holding longer increases speed (X 4, X 8, X 20) or PLAY. Press || to end fast forward/reverse and resume normal playback.

MP3 Playback Information
Displays track number, total tracks, repeat status (CX, 1, D), and elapsed/remaining playing time for the disc and current track.

Bluetooth Operation
About Bluetooth Technology
Bluetooth wireless technology is a short-range radio protocol operating in the 2.4 GHz range, transmitting audio and data at speeds up to 2.1 Mbit/s over a range of up to 10 meters.
Bluetooth Menu Options
Press and hold the BT button to enter menu adjustment mode. Use >>| or |<< buttons or the SETTING button to access "Bluetooth On/Off". Rotate the volume encoder knob to select "BLUETOOTH ON" and press ENTER to turn the function on or off. Other options are available in Bluetooth Audio mode.
- Bluetooth Pair <ENTER>: Press and hold BT button for 4 seconds to start pairing.
- Bluetooth Device: Press ENTER to view a list of paired devices. Use >>| or |<< to navigate. Select a device, then use ENTER to choose Locked/Unlocked, Connect/Disconnect, or Delete.
- DISCONNECT: Press ENTER to temporarily remove the BT link.
- LOCKED/UNLOCKED: Lock up to 5 devices to prevent them from being bumped from the list. Press ENTER to lock/unlock.
- DELETE: Press ENTER to remove a device from the list.
Pairing a Bluetooth Device
- Consult the Bluetooth device's owner's manual.
- Ensure the device is on and ready to pair.
- Press the BT button to enter Bluetooth mode.
- Press and hold the BT button for 4 seconds to start pairing. The JWM62A will display "PAIR" and be available for 120 seconds.
- On your device's Bluetooth settings, select "JWM62A" to connect.
After connecting, you can listen to music stored on your Bluetooth-enabled device.
Answering a Call
When a call is answered, BT AUDIO pauses. It may resume automatically after the call, or you may need to press PLAY to resume.
Bluetooth Audio (A2DP)
Access A2DP music from Bluetooth-enabled phones by pressing the BT button. "BT PAUSE" displays on the LCD during playback.
APP Operation
The JENSEN® Specialty Controller (jControl app) allows you to control the JWM62A from your smartphone or tablet.
Features
The app controls primary functions including: Power on/off, Volume, Mute, CD/DVD player, AM/FM tuner, Bluetooth streaming, USB file structure, Auxiliary inputs, Speaker selection, Audio menu controls (bass, treble, balance, fader, equalizer), Clock settings (sleep time, alarm), and visual display feedback.
Connecting and using jControl app
- Download and install the jControl app.
- Pair your device to the JWM62A via Bluetooth as described in the "Bluetooth Operation" section.
- For Android, close the app before Bluetooth pairing to avoid connection errors.
- Open the app and use as instructed. The device must be paired to the JWM62A before using the app.
Remote Control Operation
The remote control provides access to all major functions of the JWM62A.
Remote Control Functions Overview:
- Power: Turn radio on/standby.
- VOL +/-: Adjust volume; press for Audio Control Setup menu.
- TUNE + / -: Tune to higher/lower station.
- ENTER: Confirm menu selection.
- ALARM: Turn alarm on/off.
- PROG: Display Program Play Menu.
- LANG: Display MONO/L, MONO/R, or STEREO; select alternate audio language.
- Numeric Keyboard: Use 1-6 for preset stations; enter track numbers directly (use 10+ for tracks > 10).
- Setup: View SETUP menu.
- Subtitle: Choose subtitle language.
- Mute/LOUD: Silence audio; press and hold to turn LOUDNESS on/off.
- Eject: Eject Disc.
- Previous/Next: Select next/previous track.
- Fast Reverse/Forward: Control playback speed (2X, 4X, 8X, 20X).

- Stop: Stop playback.
- TITLE: Access title menu (may not be supported by all discs).

DVD Setup Menu
Press the SETUP button (10) on the remote control to access the SETUP menu.
System Setup
- TV System: Select AUTO, NTSC, or PAL.
- Screen Saver: Turn On/Off.
- TV Type: Select picture format (4:3PS, 4:3 LB, 16:9).
- Password: Set a four-digit security code.
- Rating: Select parental control level (requires password).
- Default: Restore default settings.
Language Setup
Adjust OSD, Audio, Subtitle, and Menu languages from available options (English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Latin).
Audio Setup
- Audio Out: Define digital output format.
- Key: Change audio output key.
Video Setup
Adjust BRIGHTNESS, CONTRAST, HUE, SATURATION, and SHARPNESS.
Digital Setup
- OP Mode: Select LINE OUT or RF REMOD.
- Dynamic Range: Select FULL, 6/8, 4/8, 2/8, or OFF.
- Dual Mono: Select STEREO, MONO/L, MONO/R, or MIX MONO.
Care and Maintenance
- Keep the product dry. Wipe immediately if wet.
- Keep away from dust and dirt.
- Handle gently to avoid damaging internal components.
- Wipe with a dampened cloth occasionally. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.
- Use and store in normal temperature environments.
Ignition Noise
Ignition system noise can affect radio reception. Using a radio suppression type high voltage ignition wire and suppressor resistor may help. Additional noise suppressors can also be used.
Interference
Radio reception in a moving environment differs from stationary reception. AM reception can be affected by bridges or high voltage lines. AM signals travel further due to atmospheric reflection.
Troubleshooting
