Soundcore P40i True Wireless Earbuds

Overview

The Soundcore P40i earbuds and charging case feature several key components:

1. Touch Control Area: The outer surface of each earbud for gesture controls.
2. Charging Contactors: Metal contacts on the earbuds that connect with the charging case.
3. Reset Button: A small button located on the back of the charging case.
4. USB-C Charging Port: Located on the charging case for wired charging.
5. LED Light Strip: An indicator light on the front of the charging case.
6. Phone Stand: A groove on the charging case lid designed to hold a phone.

Wearing

To ensure optimal sound quality and ANC performance, choose the ear tips that fit your ears best. Perform a fit test in the soundcore app.

To maintain optimal sound quality, regularly clean your earbuds. Dust, earwax, or other debris can accumulate. Use a cotton swab slightly moistened with rubbing alcohol to gently wipe the metal mesh filter under the rubber ear tips.

Powering On & Pairing

Automatic Power On & Pairing

Open the charging case. The earbuds will automatically power on and enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Select "soundcore P40i" from your device's Bluetooth list when connecting for the first time.

When pairing, the LED light strip will start flashing white slowly. After successful pairing, the LED light strip will stay on for 2 seconds and then go off.

When taken out, the earbuds will automatically power off after 30 minutes if they are not connected. This duration can be set in the soundcore app.

Manual Pairing

To manually enter Bluetooth pairing mode, place the earbuds in the charging case and leave the case open. Press and hold the reset button behind the charging case for 3 seconds until the LED light strip flashes white rapidly.

Charging

1. Place the earbuds in the charging case and close it.

Fully dry off the earbuds and the USB-C charging port before charging.

2. Connect the charging case to a power supply using a certified USB-C charging cable. Alternatively, position the charging case at the center of your wireless charger for wireless charging.

Charging Indicators

The LED light strip on the charging case indicates the battery level:

• Short light flash (red): Battery less than 20%
• Short light flash (orange): Battery 20% - 60%
• Long light flash (green): Battery 60% - 99%
• Steady green light: Battery 100%

Charging times:

• Earbuds: 10 minutes charge provides 5 hours playtime.
• Charging case: 3 hours for full charge.

Dual Connections

The Soundcore P40i earbuds can connect to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously.

To enable dual connections:

1. Open the soundcore app.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select "Dual Connections".
4. Enable "Dual Connections".
5. Select "Connect New Device".

After completing the app configuration, wear the earbuds, then press and hold the touchpad on both earbuds for 3 seconds simultaneously.

The earbuds feature touch controls for various functions. These controls can be customized in the soundcore app.

When using a single earbud:

Ambient Sound

You can select noise cancellation, normal, or transparency mode in the soundcore app.

• Adaptive ANC: Optimizes noise cancellation by adapting to your ears and environment.
• Transparency: Allows you to stay aware of your surroundings while listening to music.

Powering Off

To power off the earbuds, return them to the charging case and close it.

Reset

To reset the earbuds, place them in the charging case and leave the case open. Press and hold the reset button behind the charging case for 10 seconds until the LED light strip flashes white rapidly three times.

Firmware Update

You will be informed once a new firmware version is detected when you connect the earbuds to the app. Ensure the earbuds are placed in the charging case and the case remains open until the firmware update is complete. During the update, ensure the earbuds are being charged and avoid any usage.
