Futaba T4PX Software Update Method
This document outlines the procedure for updating the software on the Futaba T4PX transmitter. The update process allows for program enhancements and can be performed by copying an update file from the Futaba WEB site to an SD card.

Update Procedure
Note: If the battery runs out during the update, the update will fail. If the battery level is below 50%, please charge it before proceeding with the update.
Note: After the update, your model data stored on the main unit can still be used. However, as a precaution, please back up your model data before performing the update.
Download the update file from the Futaba WEB site to your PC.
Extract (unzip) the downloaded update file (zip compressed format). On Windows XP and later, you can open it using File Explorer.
Copy the extracted update file (FUTABA folder) to a microSD card. If a FUTABA folder already exists on the microSD card, please overwrite it.
Insert the microSD card containing the update file into the T4PX.
Press and hold the END button on the transmitter, then turn the power ON. The update will begin.

When the update is completed successfully, the display will show the following:

Press the power switch to turn the power OFF.
Error Messages During Update
If an error occurs during the update, the following error messages may be displayed:
"Low battery."
The update was aborted due to insufficient battery level. Please charge the battery and try the update again.
"Update file not found."
The update file could not be found. Please check if the file was copied correctly to the microSD card, and if it is for the correct model.
"Broken file."
The update file is corrupted or is an update file for a different model.
"Write error."
This is a write error. If this occurs repeatedly, please contact the service center for inspection.
