- Screws (3)
- Anchors (1)
- Set Screw (3)
- Towel Bar Body (1, 4)
- Second Body (5)
- Second Mounting Bracket (6)
- Second Set Screw (7)
- Tools: Stud finder (optional), drill, 1/8" (3mm) drill bit, 1/4" (6mm) carbide drill bit (for tile/solid surface), masking tape, soft towel.
Step 1: Prepare Mounting Location
If possible, mount at least one end of your towel bar into a wall stud. Use a stud finder or tap the wall to locate a stud. Place a mounting bracket (1) in the desired location. Ensure the bracket is level, then mark the position of the two holes (2) on the wall. Repeat for the second mounting bracket.
Step 2: Drill Holes and Mount Brackets
If mounting into wall studs, drill 1/8" (3mm) holes and mount the bracket with the provided screws. If mounting into ceramic tile or solid surface, place masking tape on the mounting area before marking to prevent the drill bit from sliding. Drill 1/4" diameter holes where indicated using a carbide drill bit. Insert anchors (1) until flush with the walls. Note: For Sheetrock or hollow doors, molly or toggle bolts (not included) may be required.
Step 3: Attach Towel Bar Body to Bracket
Orient the mounting bracket (1) as shown. Place it over the installed anchors (2) and screws (3). Repeat for the second mounting bracket. Position the towel bar body (1) over the mounting bracket (2) and tighten the set screw (3), which should be located on the bottom of the body.
Step 4: Connect Towel Bar Sections
Place one end of the towel bar (4) into the second body (5). Place the other end of the bar into the first body (1). Slide the second body (5) over the other mounting bracket (6) and tighten its set screw (7).
