Installation Instructions
Tools Required
- 1/4" carbide drill bit
- Electric drill
- Phillips screwdriver
- Level
Installation Steps
1. Unscrew the set screw at the base of each post and remove mounting screws and brackets (if necessary).
2. Assemble both posts and the bar. Position on the wall where desired.
3. Lightly mark the outline of each post. Center the mounting brackets vertically within the outlines of the posts. Refer to Figure 1 for post views and mounting bracket placement.
4. Mark the location of the mounting screws. If mounting onto ceramic tile, try to locate the mounting hole locations on a grout line. However, the center-to-center measurement of the posts must be maintained as marked. Refer to Figure 2 for post spacing.
5. If mounting into ceramic tile, use masking tape on the mounting area before marking the location to prevent the drill bit from sliding across the tile.
6. To drill through ceramic tile, obtain a 1/4" diameter carbide drill bit.
7. Drill 1/4" holes and push anchors flush with the wall. Fasten the mounting brackets to the wall with mounting screws. Refer to Figure 1 for mounting screw and anchor details.
8. Place posts over the brackets and tighten the set screws.
